Halloween Pictures

Halloween was fun! It was fun to dress Emma up and Logan taught her to say "trick or treat" and "thank you" so it was super cute to watch. She LOVED getting all of the candy... but she was also SUPER possessive of it... nobody else could touch it without a huge tantrum...
(I also know I haven't taken any pictures of myself during this pregnancy... so you're lucky to even get the picture of me that's here... I don't like looking at myself... cuz I know I've put on weight with the pregnancy ;)

*I think Emma makes a cute fairy and Logan makes a cute Harry Potter, don't you?*

WHERE did she learn that?!?!

Recently I've been surprised at some of the things Emma has done and I have to wonder,
where did she learn that?!?!

First off, today we went for a walk. I've been taking her on walks around the neighborhood to get her used to walking, instead of being carried everywhere, since it will be impossible to carry her and a baby all of the time. Anyway, so we got about 3/4 the way home when she tripped and fell and started to cry. So I picked her up for a minute and comforted her and then put her back down. She walked for a minute and then looked up at me and FAKED falling down and pretended to cry. I was like WHAT?!?!?! Seriously where did she learn that?

And then nap time today. (She's on a kick where she only takes 2-3 naps a week... grrr!) She was standing at the gate that I have set up in the doorway to her room, so she can't get out during nap time and at night, and I heard her binky fall on the floor. And I know she wont calm down enough to go to sleep without it. So I went and picked it up and gave it to her. She put it in her mouth and then I told her to go to sleep and I started walking away and she THREW her binky on the other side of the gate again. I was like, "oh you little stinker!!!" and again I thought, where did she learn that?!?!?!

*And then there's the bath time. She wont stay sitting down. When she starts to do this I just pull her out, too dangerous. Hopefully you don't think this picture is "rated R", I just thought it was cute... even if annoying...*

*She also tries to climb into her high chair her self, and gets stuck. It was pretty funny today when she was sprawled across it and couldn't move...*

Christmas Card Choices!

Last year was the first year I sent out Christmas cards and this year I went exploring a little bit more to find the best place to get my cards from, and I was amazed! Shutterfly has AMAZING options. There are tons of different choices and there has to be one you’ll love!

I picked three of my favorite holiday card designs… but there were so many good one’s to choose from!

First I chose the Starlight Snowflakes Christmas Card. Really I just love the simplicity of this card. I am a huge fan of the “Merry Christmas” phrase on any Christmas card that I send out so all of my selections contained it. I love the white snowflakes, especially against the red sweater in the picture, so I’d try to make sure my picture had a bright color under the snowflakes and if I could do that, this one would be perfect! It also only has room for one photo, which I think better suits my family this year.

Next I chose the Peppermint Dots Christmas Card. I like with the one the option to have a big family picture and then a smaller picture of just the kids. I also love that this one has the year up in the corner; for my own personal keepsake it’s nice to just be able to glance at the card and know the year it came from.

I also chose the More Than Merry American Lung Association Holiday 5x7 folded card. I wanted to pick one folded card that was my favorite and I LOVED the coloring on this one. I also love that on the inside of a folded card I can write a short note to friends and family instead of enclosing an entirely separate letter.

I also wanted to point out their Wall Calendars. I’ve always wanted to get one done and that might just be what some Christmas presents are this year! They have really good deals and really fun designs!

Anyway, I just really wanted to share this with you and hopefully you'll check them out and get some fun Christmas cards from them! (And maybe other stuff too!)

Also, and don't skip this part! If you have a blog and would like the chance to get 50 free holiday cards, then go to this site: http://bit.ly/sfly2010

In A Couple Of Months I'm Going To Be A Big Sister!

*Playing with the fly-swatter, no worries, it's brand new and never been used*

*I found this today. It's the bow they put on Emma when she was first born, in the hospital :) *

*Emma's friends Davey and Savannah watching a movie together!*

*Giving a little bit of attitude with those eyes*

*In the dress I made her. It's a little bit big, so she probably wont really wear it for a few more months.*

Happy Birthday Logan!

Yesterday Logan turned 27!
Mostly we celebrated on Saturday, he worked until 3
(and they ate Panda Express for lunch at work--his favorite right now)
and then he came home to my parents house and opened presents.
He got a new pen (it's a nice one... and his old one got lost somewhere)...
and then he got a GPS!
He's been wanting one for forever so he seemed pretty excited to use it.
Then he got to play Starcraft 2 until really late until I made him stop so we could drive back home (none of us got to bed until about 11:30pm! Eek, poor Emma!)
Anyway, Sunday morning I made him breakfast in bed, which he enjoyed... even though I had to leave right after I gave it to him to a meeting.
Then later that night for dinner we had Pork Chops.
I counted it all up and figured he got 4 birthday meals in there, I think that's pretty spoiled. Anyway, it was a good weekend and I'm glad we got to spend a lot of time together.
But now it's back to the regular grind of housework for me and studying for Logan!

Short Complain Fest

I went to the doctor today and everything was good with baby :)
(okay... that's not complaining).
But really, whenever I lie down she immediately shoves her little foot into my right rib and just chills with it there all night.... so uncomfortable.
And at night my sciatic nerve bothers me SO much that it's hard to get out of bed and check on Emma (which I have to do at least once every night... we'll get to that in a minute).
That and I have to get up and go to the bathroom a couple of times each night and if I don't my braxton-hicks contractions get BAD.
Okay... done complaining about that.
Now I'll complain about getting up in the night to check on Emma...
For the last two months she has had a coughing attack every night.
It lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.
One night it even made her throw up.
So I talked to the doctor a couple of times and they said the usual...
run a humidifier, blah, blah blah.
Anyway, none of that was doing any good, so I took her in today and talked to them.
I think he was surprised when I told him how long it had been going on.
And then I told him I had asthma, and I think that pretty much sealed the deal for him.
He thinks its a "mild case of children's asthma" (those were his exact words).
Anyway, so tonight we started her on a low dose medicine and hopefully that will help to not cough at night anymore and we can both sleep better!!
Anyway, other than that life is really good. We are all super busy and super happy :)

Sewing Project

*So really I've been working on this little dress for a long time. Okay REALLY I had hardly done anything on it until the last couple of days. Then I stayed up really late last night finishing it cuz I was having a lot of fun :) I think it turned out pretty good. I think it's still a little big for Emma, but we'll get a picture of her trying it on anyway...*

The Baby Bouncer Must Be More Comfortable Than Her Bed

*Because this is how I found her for nap time today.*

Dressing Herself and Ewww Gross

*When Emma is in charge of dressing herself this is how it goes... shorts on the head :)*

*She says "eww gross". Not as clear as she usually says it... but that's because the camera is on. I also thought this was a good shot of her natural curl in the back of her hair. I LOVE her hair. I think it is beautiful!*

The Princess-Mobile

This last week our ward did a Pinewood Derby! It was a lot of fun. Logan carved/cut out the car, and I painted it. The original plan was to do a Harry Potter car, but he didn't have time to put into it... so I just went and bought HOT PINK spray paint and silver sparkle spray paint and decorated :) Logan was a little embarrassed at first...

*Getting ready to race our first race!*

*The Princess-Mobile*

He wasn't as embarrassed when we took 3rd place out of 18 cars! :) I was quite proud of us. I guess I should say that Logan did buy weights and add them to the bottom of the car and used graphite on the wheels. He got pretty into it and had a lot of fun! I think it was a surprise to most people when the pink princess car did so well! We also had a couple of the little girls in the ward who kept picking it up when it got to the end of the track. One little girl kept telling us it was her car :) I guess it was the perfect car for little girls!!

My Silly Girl

Emma insists now on sleeping with her head at the foot of the bed. I swear no matter how many times I come in and flip her she flips back as soon as I walk out of the room. I should take some pictures... but I haven't yet. Here is one picture of her. One time I found her with her head on the lower mattress and feet still up on her bed, so funny :)

*Learning to brush my teeth!*

*Hanging out with Mommy. She loves to say "cheese" and smile when I take pictures!*

RAWR

So yesterday I went to the dry cleaners and when I walked in the lady at the desk asked how I was, then said, "Well, I mean, other than chubby.... (pause)... I mean, pregnant." That was sort of awkward... haha, mostly I just felt sorry for her, cuz that REALLY didn't come out right!

Anyway, today was an interesting day, I got out of the shower just in time to answer my phone, two little boys in the neighborhood were missing, so the entire neighborhood was out looking for them with the police on their way and everything! The little boys were fortunately found about 30-40 minutes of being missing, but they sure gave everyone a scare! That was the first... and hopefully last kid search I ever have to participate in.

Anyway, the JoAnn craft and fabric store here in Poky is moving so they have some HUGE sales going on. So I bought a bunch of fabric and ribbons to make some easy matching pillowcase dresses for Emma and Abby. I'm super excited, of course, it was even better that I spent $16 on stuff that would have otherwise cost me about $50! And with that $16 worth of stuff I should be able to make 8 dresses total! :) I want to go back and buy a little bit of fabric to make nursing covers, hopefully I can find some more cute, cheap stuff!

And now comes the depressing part of the day. Today was the THIRD day in a row that Emma has refused to fall asleep for nap time. Instead she was a little pill and threw tantrums the whole time and then the rest of the day cuz she was SO tired. By the end of nap time today I was ready to just cry. Sigh... we're working on it though, I'm not willing to give up those couple of hours, so I'm trying to teach her that if she doesn't want to sleep she is welcome to have some quiet time in her room. But I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to get her trained or else I'm going to lose my mind when the baby comes! If you have any great suggestions, PLEASE send them my way!

Anyways, here's the part you've all been waiting for, the RAWR. We taught Emma that's what a bear says :)
