Musicians
Maybe this gave me a headache... But all kids need this experience right?
(Emma learned not to put her hand in the way really quick--see her sad face)

Playing at the Park
We went to a friends this morning and played and had lunch and then went to a park. The kids had a blast.
Being Creative
So I found this activity on my new favorite website: Pinterest. Emma loved it and Abby enjoyed annoying Emma by pulling the pipe cleaners out again, haha.

Stubborn
When we were reading scriptures tonight Emma piled her Woody, Buzz, Jesse, her water, and mermaid dolls in the toy baby bed. Then she laid her blanket on top of them and crawled on top and demanded that she sleep there. I really didn't think she would... But obviously she's pretty stubborn in spite of how uncomfortable it had to have been. Yeah... As pictured below she fell asleep there.

Random Abby
Abby is almost 10 months old! It's weird to think I'll have two toddlers soon :)
She is sleeping in her crib now and I love it!
Tonight I put both girls to bed in the same room at the same time... Hadn't attempted it before now... And they both went to sleep! Abby cried and whimpered a little bit and I could hear Emma saying "it's ok Abby, it's ok." so cute. She's such a good big sister. When I went to check on them Emma had given Abby one of her baby dolls to help her stop crying. So sweet :)
She's also had thrush the last two weeks... But I think it is finally disappearing.
That jello was VERY frustrating!

Emma-isms
Emma says the funniest things these days...
She calls beef jerky, "spankings", I'm not really sure why....
She also calls flies, "spider mans" and I'm not really sure why for that either.
She also likes to pick out her clothes everyday, which is why they don't always match.
It always takes her about ten minutes to pick which pair of underwear she wants to wear. She has to lay them all out and she usually changes her mind about 10 times.
Her favorite movies are 101 Dalmations, The Little Mermaid, and any Thomas the Train show.
I have to say it's really nice not to have to change her diaper any more... Being potty trained is great.
We played dress ups today in some of my clothes, she LOVED it!
Pretty Hair
Emma has such beautiful long hair. She doesn't let me do it fancy very often, but occasionally...
It took me about 20 minutes. Love to do her hair!
Clapping
First... Isn't she just so cute?
And here is Abby's new trick! She's been very pleased with herself all day.

Abby @ 9 months
Abby at 6 months.
Height: 27 in
Weight: 17 lbs 10 oz
The doctor said she is in about the 30th percentile.
She has slowed down in her growth but I'm pretty sure that's because she's such a mover. She just burns too many calories! Haha.
Anyway, I think shell be a pretty early walker. She says "dada" when she's happy and "mama" when she's mad or grumpy.
She is also slowly learning to sleep by herself. It's been a rough battle (and it's still going on). She still cries a little bit... But at least she'll sleep most of the night in her bed. I can't wait until I can put Emma and Abby in the same room! Eventually....
Abby has 6 teeth. She eats all sorts of foods. She is a quick eater and LOVES to eat whatever me, Logan, or Emma are eating. I think her favorite is Popsicles due to Grandpa Obray.
She is definitely a mamas girl. She's attached to me constantly... I love her tons but it would be nice to have a break sometimes :)
She also knows Jesus. She loves to look at pictures of him.
She's just growing up way too fast. She wants to be just like her older sister already. They chase each other all over the house. They crack me up!
Preschool!
A couple of my friends and I decided to do a preschool for our kids. We are taking turns teaching and just have one class a week. We are going through the alphabet. We had their first lesson this week on the letter A. Emma loved it! She loved doing the craft and is super proud of her artwork that is hanging on the fridge! She calls the alligator one the "rawr" one and she carries the little a around the house constantly.
Abby Starting to Walk
She's only 9.5 months old! She just wants to be just like Emma already. Trying to grow up too fast...
SICK
So as I said in the end of the last post, Logan and Emma started feeling sick on Monday. Early Tuesday morning I joined them in that. We had a pretty nasty flu bug. Emma threw up in the middle of the night on Tues night and Wed night. I did so much laundry it's not even funny. We were sick until Thursday and that was our recovery day. Emma also had the runs and on Monday had an accident all over the floor in the bathroom and Isabelle overheard her saying "Mom! There's poop everywhere!" haha.... Oh it was fun. That happened a few times throughout the week... I guess that's what we get for having a potty trained child....
The blankets were laid out in case Emma threw up... During the day she seemed fine though and ate normally... It was kinda weird. I was really tired and sick feeling though so we didn't do much of anything.
Abby escaped the entire thing! She didn't get sick at all. I'm attributing that to the fact that I am still nursing her. Lucky girl!
Labor Day Weekend
Logan had to work on Saturday but on Sunday afternoon my brother Nate and his girlfriend Isabelle came to visit! We had a good time talking, going for a walk, and roasting marshmallows and starbursts. I really enjoy spending time with them. And Isabelle is so super good with the kids, they both love her.
On Monday my parents came and hung out too. We had a nice little barbecue. It was a nice relaxing day and I'm glad Logan was able to have the day off and hang out with us. It's just too bad that Logan and Emma started feeling sick that day... But that's for another post.
Abby Knows Jesus
She sounds pretty good, eh? I have no doubt that she remembers him and he is important to her. She loves that picture and gets excited every time she sees it and she looks for it excitedly whenever we talk about Jesus.

Why I Love Apple
So as you all know I got an iPad for my birthday. Well I LOVE it. And one day I went to get on it and it had a big old crack on the left upper corner about 2 inches in. I FREAKED out! Where had it come from?!?!?!? Anyway we talked to numerous people who suggested we call Apple and see what they could do for us. So we did. They said to send it in and they would check it out. We sent it in Tuesday evening (we were told it actually wouldn't be shipped until Wednesday morning-and we didn't have to pay for shipping!) and we got an email Wednesday evening that said they were sending me a brand new iPad! I received it Thursday morning! I am always so impressed with Apple and their desire to please the customer. I have not dealt with any other company anywhere that has been SO customer oriented. It's extremely impressive and I will definitely buy from them again.
We also bought an awesome new case for it to keep it safe... We bought a Gumdrop Drop Tech Series cover. It is awesome. I am super impressed with it also.
Playtime
Both Abby and Emma just love playing with Mason! He loves to come down and play with the Jessie doll, cracks me up!
Everything Emma has Abby wants and everything Abby has Emma wants. It gets old... But they have really started to have fun together and I love it!!
I love this little jacket Abby is wearing. It was the first thing I bought before Emma was born!
Emma is hilarious these days. She gets her shoes on and tells me she wants to go home...? I'm not really sure where she plans on going, haha. She also tells me she wants to go to the grocery store (we go to Fred Meyer so she plays at the play land while I shop). She has also started saying "I don't want it" when she is done with something. She states it so matter of factly. She is so good at talking and telling me what she wants. She is also potty trained! It was pretty easy though she still has an accident here and there because she is too busy. She was very ready and loves that she is so independent now.
Abby has started trying to walk. I can't believe how fast she is trying to grow up!
Emma has started to read Abby books. Super cute!
Sometimes Abby gets upset... Haha they fight over toys a lot. And Abby fights over binky's and drinks because she doesn't quite get yet that one is Emma's and one is Abby's.
