Bedtime...

Bedtimes the last two days have been awful! The first night the kids would not fall asleep NAND when I walked past their room I saw Emma shoving broken glass under the door! I ran in and she had shattered the glass of a picture frame... Luckily, even though she was barefoot, she did not get cut at all.
The next night Emma spilled her sippy cup of water all over under her bed. She soaked her favorite books that we read every night. Then later she fell while trying to climb into Abby's crib and put a nice little gash in her foot. Whew! Here's to hoping tonight is better!!

A lazy day we had a few days ago... Well lazy for the kids. They hung out in their pjs all day and watched shows while I super cleaned my house :)

Pete the Cat

We heard this song for the first time in nursery and then at story time at the library... Emma loves it! She randomly recites and sings in around the house. I caught some of it on camera. Seriously so cute.

Kamikaze Abby

And shortly after I took this video I walked out of the room for a second and then heard Abby crying. I walked in to find her faced own on the floor where the beanbag had Beene but it had been pushed too far from the couch... So she face-planted on the floor... Ouch!

Just for kicks I thought I'd add that Abby is picking up a huge vocabulary! She repeats anything I say and she's picking up on the meanings of words really fast. The only problem is she doesn't speak clearly so a lot of her words sounds EXACTLY the same... It gets confusing, haha :)

Dress Ups!

I love having two girls! So fun to dress up with them. Abby is also newly obsessed with shoes. She wants to wear my shoes ALL the time. The only problem is I have to put them on her and they fall off a lot so I end up putting them on her constantly... But she loves it :)

And just for randomness sake the other day Emma came up to me saying, "mom! A dinosaur popped my ears!" yeah... no idea where that came from! Haha, she cracks me up! And then the other day during nap time I woke up to this:

Tights on her head and her skirt around her neck..l interesting sense of style :)

A Little Bit of Politics and Saturday's Warrior

A few weeks ago Mitt Romney came to Idaho Falls and had a rally so Logan and I left the kids with my mom and went! I was a lot of fun except that I forgot my camera :( anyway, we were only two feet from the front and we got to shake his hand. It was fun to be a part of it.

Afterwards we rushed home and went to the play Saturday's Warrior. My favorite ever. I LOVE the music. When the music started I started crying and cried all of the way through. I also mouthed the words to every song. I'm glad my husband took me! Best date ever.

The next week we had Idaho's first ever caucus, so we found a babysitter and went! Pretty fun to be a part of the process of selecting the nominee for the Republican presidential candidate for 2012. Pretty exciting times! Logan has been really into politics lately so it's been really fun to follow and know all about the candidates and the issues.

A Whole Bunch of Random Stuff Squeezed Into One Post

Made mini pizzas the other day for dinner. Walked into the kitchen later to find one pepperoni from each one missing.... Hmmmm I wonder who the mysterious thief was... (Hint: Emma LOVES pepperonis!)
Look at that super long hair!
Logan had a test on Thursday morning, Friday morning and he has one Monday morning, but he made a little bit of time for his girlies on Friday night and they LOVED it. They have missed him s much. Whenever I tell them we are going to pick up daddy they both jump up and run to the door!
After a visit to the bank... Enjoying their suckers.
This kid has some of the best facial expressions ever!

Dreaming of spring!
We babysat Mason and Baby Dustin last night and I thought it was funny when all I had was pink and purple stuff for Dustin to hang out in!

We have two zhu zhu pets and the kids love them! They play with them every day.

Outside

Last week was beautiful weather (not so much this week...) and we enjoyed every bit of it that we could!

Emma LOVES to swing. Abby... Not so much. She lasted just long enough for me to snap a couple of pictures and then she wanted OUT.
Here is Brock swinging with Emma. Abby wandered over in front of Brock at some point and got herself knocked over, I'm sure that didn't encourage a like of the swing either :)
Brock is 6 or 7 months younger than Abby and weighs about as much as her!!
A little girl at the park taught Emma how to climb up the slides... She was LOVING that newfound fun.
You can tell she isn't loving the swing...
Emma and Mason. Those kids LOVE to swing. Especially in the baby swings...
Abby enjoyed playing with the dirt and sticks pretty much the whole time.

Playing in the Eagle's Nest... At least that's what we always called it growing up. That may have something to do with the fact that we had one at my Elementary school and we were the Ammon Eagles. What do you call it? I've always wondered what they were called...

W

We learned the letter "w" in preschool the other day. I had the kids lay down in the shape of a "w" and then they looked at the picture I took. I don't think they got it but they had fun!
And they had fun playing after preschool too! Pretty much every toy was dumped out.. Is there a floor in there...?

A Pen Light

Can keep kids occupied forever! We had the missionaries over for dinner and one of them had a great time entertaining the kids!

Emma @ 3 Years

3 year old stats:
Height: 38 inches
Weight: 33lbs 2 oz
Both the 75th percentile! (she gets mistaken for a 4 year old all of the time!)
I love my dear little Emmabear. It really blows my mind that she is so old now! I can't believe I have a three year old!

I love that she can tell me what she wants. I love that she's potty trained. I love that when she gets hurts she comes to me for a kiss that makes it all better. I love when she gives me a million kisses goodnight. I love when I say "hey Emma" she says" I love you too" before I can even say it! I love that when I make Abby take medicine or something else that makes her mad and Emma stands next to me and says over and over again, "mom! Leave Abby alone! Leave Abby alone!"

Emma is so funny! She says silly things on a daily basis that make me smile. She came into my room at about 3am on her birthday and I woke up to her standing over me (scared me to death) and she begged me not to make her go swimming... Yeah, I have no idea either, haha! Then the other day she was carrying around a picture of Dumbledore and she informed me it was her Jesus picture and when I tried to explain to her it wasn't Jesus, she just looked at me like I was crazy... Haha, maybe it's the beard that does it? And then during quiet time a couple of weeks ago I whispered to her, "are you awake?" she was quiet for a minute and then whispered back, "no! I'm sleeping."

She LOVES to play with our neighbor Mason and I know it will be really hard for her when we move to Twin Falla in a few months. They play together 4 or 5 times a week and see each other at story time at the library and when Sharla and I grocery shop at the same time and they go the the Fred Meyer play land together. She talks about him all of the time and sometimes she will sit at the door between our homes and try to yell for him.

Her favorite thing to watch on TV is Diego and she's picking up quite the Spanish vocabulary. She LOVES almost any food as long as she can dip it in Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. I am currently preparing a blog post with her eating numerous different things dipped in ranch. It will be pretty.... Strange. She also struggles to get up in the mornings. She is often grouchy and will lay in bed for 30 minutes insisting that she is "still sleeping". I guess I'm going to have to wake her up pretty early when she has to start going to school is a couple of years!

And last of all is our binky update. We took her binky away about 4 months ago. She did really good, but would often have some sort of toy or something in her mouth. And then about 2 months ago she started sucking her thumb like crazy. At the doctors yesterday he told me it would probably be best to give her binky back because it will cause less damage to her mouth. We then went to the dentist and he agreed (reluctantly) with the doctor. He just wasn't happy about giving his approval for a binky or a thumb :) But he did tell me that really a binky or a thumb will move teeth and stuff around but if stopped by about 4 the mouth usually corrects itself with no damage done. But they still try to avoid it anyway. Made me feel a little better about it so I wont stress as much. Also, she has a cavity... we are taking her to get it filled in two weeks. Should be... fun...

The pictures were taken by my good friend Kelly Spence. She has been taking our pictures for a few years now and they always turn out great.

Abby @ 15 Months

15 moth stats:
Height: 30 inches (30th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs 2 oz (20th percentile)
These numbers were relieving to me because I knew she was small but I was worried she would be off-the-charts small. The doctor says she seems very healthy though and not to worry as long as she continues to eat well (which she does... Insane amounts of food! That girl must have the fastest burning metabolism ever.).

I can't believe Abby is only a couple of months away from nursery!
She has gotten big so fast. I love having two little girls.
Abby currently is a great sleeper. Her and Emma now go to bed at the same time in the same room. They both have learned how to sleep throug a little bit of noise and ignore each other. I love to hear them talk and giggle in the morning. Abby, just last Sunday, was diagnosed with another ear infection. She's not loving that (she hates the medication she is on) but she is feeling sooo much better and is much happier!
She doesn't like milk at all and the only way I've been able to get her to drink it is to put it with cereal, but at least she'll do that!
She is a giggly, energetic little goofball. She LOVES to tease Emma. She steals Emma's toys and runs away all of the time. Emma will chase her and just before she gets caught she chucks whatever she stole so Emma won't beat her up. The whole thing just really cracks me up.

Abby is also an excellent tantrum thrower. She knows how to make her while body go limp when she doesn't want to do something or go somewhere. She also loves to throw herself face down on the floor and cry. It's too bad I'm mean and just think its funny. I try not to laugh though.
Abby's loves to read. Her favorite book is Where is the Big Red Doggie? And we read it a million times a day.
She loves babies and gets super excited every time "baby Dustin" (the baby upstairs) gets mentioned. She carries her baby doll all over the place, giving it kisses and patting its back. She also likes to hide it in the washer of their play kitchen so Emma can't find it. When we have another baby eventually I will have to keep an eye on her... Haha.
She is a daddy's girl and gives hm hugs and kisses on demand. She is also very good at running to the door yelling "Dadada!" when he gets home.
Her and Emma also love to have little tea parties with goldfish crackers or other little candies and snacks.

Warmth!

It was such a nice day today so I took the kids outside and they played. They LOVED being outside!
Emma kept laying there yelling, "help me! Ayúdame!" haha that girl knows more spanish than me because of Diego!

Auntie's Funeral

Logan's Great Aunt passed away and we had the funeral this last Saturday. When Logan and I first started dating we used to go over to her and Uncle's house in Rexburg and visit them. They were a cute little old couple. He passed away a few years ago.
