The Spirit

So before we moved we did pretty good at reading scriptures and saying prayers but then everything got messed up and confused and we didn't do it for a while. We just started it up again.... and I have to say it is AMAZING what that small act does for our family. At the end of the day the last week I have felt so happy and it's been so peaceful in my home, my kids really are fighting less. Anyway, it really took me until last night to realize why being a mom has been so much easier this last week. And with that I just wanted to say, when you invite the spirit into your home, it stays, and the most amazing little miracles take place.

Gaming

Logan's cousin, Matt, and his family live across the street from us. We LOVE to hang out with them and play games. We taught them how to play Mahjong and we play quite often. Emma and Abby love to go to their house too to play with their kids.
Here we are playing, pictured is Emma, Karen, McKenna, Matt, and Logan building the wall.
The next two pictures were taken my my artistic little Emma. I thought they were cool shots of us playing.
(I have a really good hand in that last picture... Woohoo!)

Utah

After City of Rocks we headed to Logan. We got there to find a big conference was going on and there were no hotels!!!! Luckily Nate and IsaBelle could put the girls and I up in the their living room and Neal and Leslie were able to find the "one" room left.
The next day we headed to Bear Lake for couple of hours of jet-skiing for Eric and Ian and playing in the water for Emma and Abby. They LOVED it.
Ian and Leslie going for a drive.
Uncle Eric taking Emma out. She LOVED it. We were sad Daddy couldn't come and play, but he had to work.
Then we went down to Heber/Midway, UT and visited Logan's aunt Laurie and saw her beautiful house and 3 cats and dog. The girls LOVED the cats. Especially that they were named IsaBella and Phineas from Phineas and Ferb.

City of Rocks

On our way to Utah with Logan's parents, we made a random trip to City of Rocks, south of Burley. It was pretty cool and I didn't even know it existed before! The kids didn't love it because it meant we spent more time in the car. Emma handled it well, but Abby was a grouch.

Emma climbing some rocks. After she got down she said, "that was AWESOME" haha.
This was Castle Rock. Pretty cool, sometime I want to go down and go on a bunch of the hikes there.
Happy Emma and grumpy Abby.
Emma climbing rocks again. She loved it.
Elephant rock, the second picture shows a guy climbing the rock.
Grumpy Abby.
Right after those last pictures were taken we headed out to get back to civilization (to Logan, UT to find a hotel) and ran into some people who were stranded, their car had broken down in the mountains somewhere and they had been walking for hours and needed a ride to "town" (if you can call Almo, ID a town haha). Anyway, we picked them up, squeezed them in our car and drove them their (it was out of our way some but we will get blessed right?). Anyway, we ate at a little local joint after we dropped them off (they had a room they were staying at there and family would come down the next day to help get their car out). Anyway, it was a fun adventure and Emma was sad to see her "new friends" go when it was time. She talked to them non-stop and I don't think either of them really knew how to react to her, haha.

Rexburg Twice

The girls and I headed to Rexburg with Logan's family twice within 3 days (Logan had to work and so had to stay home). The first time we went to pick up some things for Logan's mom. The kids did really good with the car trip, and we had fun visiting our good friends the Johansons while Logan's family gathered their stuff.

A few days later Logan's mom decided she needed more of the stuff they had decided to leave behind and we headed for Rexburg again. We also stopped and went to Craters of the Moon because I had never been there before. The kids did really well in the car again. Though that last thirty minutes in the car is always the roughest.

I am about 14 weeks pregnant in the pictures.
It was super windy so Abby wouldn't show her face.

Fence

Logan's parents came to visit for two weeks. The first thing on the to do list was our fence. I really wanted the yard closed off and a taller back fence to keep the kids safe from the neighbor's huge dogs. So Logan's dad and two brothers got to work. It's amazing and I really appreciate their hard work.

The girls always trying to be helpful...
A couple pictures of what the kids were up to while the fence project went on. Emma and Abby's second cousin Joseph came over to check things out (they live across the street).
Abby fell asleep while playing with the iPad... Super cute. She's done napping and occasionally can't quite stay awake all day.
And of course no Twin Falls trip and hard work would be acceptable without a couple of trips to Maxie's Pizza.
