Abby is 2!

My little baby turned 2! I really can't believe it :)
She loved being the center of attention and making all of the decisions. On the other hand it was probably the worst day of Emma's life ;) she had to let Abby choose what cake to make and the color of the frosting and what movie to watch for quiet time, and what birthday balloons to pick, etc. I don't think she's ever let Abby make that many choices in a row ever before, and it was really tough for her.
Abby loved her presents. We had some friends over to open presents and eat cake and ice cream. Abby got some ponies, a Minnie Mouse set, fairies, Pete the cat book and doll, a cute little monkey outfit, and a puppy stuffed animal.
Abby is a sweet little thing. She loves to give hugs and kisses. She loves snuggles or "nuggles" as she calls them. Her favorite movie is either Cars or TinkerBell. Her favorite color is purple and she always asks for the purple binky instead of the pink one. She loves to follow Emma and copy her. It drives Emma nuts but it's really cute :) She loves to read books and comb my hair. She has a fierce little personality and loves the word no. She has THE BEST facial expressions; if looks could kill... Haha. Anyway, she is super attached to me and still rarely sleeps through the night. But we love her to death and are so glad she's a part of our little family!
So excited about her birthday cake!
Opening presents!

Enjoying the cake and ice cream!

Thanksgiving

I didn't take ANY pictures from Thanksgiving and I am soooooooo sad about it.

We went to Utah and visited a bunch of family since Logan's parents and my parent's are both so far away now. We visited my Uncle Tom and his family, my Aunt Kathi and her family, and Logan's Uncle Roger and his family. It was quite the trip and crazy since we only had about 2 days to get all of our visiting done. But we had fun.
The kids really miss my dad since they moved and they really enjoyed playing with my Uncle Tom who is a lot like my dad. They loved their "Grandpa Tom" and can't wait to go back.
My Aunt Kathi has a son 5 or 6 years older than Emma and she loved following him around.
And at Roger's, their daughter has a daughter about Emma's age so the kids had someone to play with everywhere we went and we had a nice relaxing trip, while getting in some good visits :)

Had to add my favorite thing Emma said while eating Thanksgiving dinner! She started begging for more "thumb-grapes"! Quick to discover that meant olives :)

28 Weeks

This was taken about 28 weeks. I'm 29 weeks tomorrow! Whew... 11 more weeks :)

Black Eye

We went to the fun bouncy place "Hop To It". Emma had a blast except when her friend fell on her and gave her a black eye :) Isn't she cute with a black eye? Abby didn't have much fun because she was teething and I didn't know so she just sat it my lap and cried until I went to the store and got Tylenol. Then she had a blast the last hour... poor kid.

Goodbye Milo

Poor Milo. He was SUCH a good cat! He tolerated the kids very well. As the pictures show, he just chilled and dealt with them. Anyway, our dog, Sarge, was torturing Milo and poor Milo was just taking it because he's so chill. Anyway, our neighborhood also has a lot of outdoor cats and they are very territorial and DIDN'T like Milo. Things just weren't going well for him. And we new he would do better in a home where he could be an indoor cat because of his mild temperament. Anyway, we knew a couple in our ward that loves animals and she always wanted a cat. So they took him home and we are happy he's in a home where he can be inside and comfortable. The pictures are from the night he left. Logan brought him in to take pictures and snuggle before he left. (Of course a couple days later Logan had to vacuum out the entire house because my allergies were KILLING me.)

Boise!

Logan had a pharmacy fair (job fair) thing in Boise so we all decided to get out of town for the weekend. We don't get much time off since Logan works Mon-Sat, so we very much enjoyed our break! The hotel had an awesome kiddie pool so I didn't have to get wet and Emma and Abby had a blast. We also got the chance to go to the Boise Temple open house, we loved it. The girls thought it was beautiful and Emma is still talking about it. At first she was pretty upset about the whole thing though because I've been telling her forever that she can't go in the temple until she gets "big like Mommy". Anyway, she was mad that suddenly I was going to let her go somewhere she wasn't allowed. It's hard to explain why she could suddenly go there for a little bit. We also got to visit an old high school friend of mine, Sara and her family, so that was fine. We like to catch up with them whenever we get to go to Boise. And we found a great Thai joint that we ate at twice in the 2 days we were there! :)
The pictures are from the hotel pool and our hotel room. The kids loved having cable, since we typically don't.

Milo and Sarge

So... Some crazy things happened and we ended up with a couple of pets! It's been a little crazy and wearing on me... Who gets to be home all day with them, but they've been good.
So the cat, Milo. Milo had showed up at one of Logan's coworkers house and had sort of adopted them, but they already had a bunch of pets and couldn't find the owner so Logan said we'd take him in. He's a beautiful cat and already trained to be an outdoor pet (which is good since I'm very allergic), and sleeps happily in our garage. The pictures aren't great because the only time he'd sit still is when he was eating... Anyway, he's also super good with the kids, which is awesome since Emma picks him up and drags him all over the place.
And now... Sarge. One of Logan's classmates was breeding their black lab and had like 13 puppies. Anyway, Logan's been begging for years to get a dog and now that we have a fenced in back yard it was impossible to say no, especially with the convenience of knowing we would be getting a good dog with good genes. So we had been planning to get Sarge for a few months now, and he was finally big enough to come home with us, he's about 7 weeks old. The kids love him, especially Abby, as you can see in the pictures.
