These are a bunch of random Facebook posts from the last year. Things I don't want to forget :)
Bre likes to pat my tummy where the baby is and say "come on baby, come on". Lol, it cracks me up.
I just asked my kids my favorite joke--what do you call a country where everybody drives pink cars? And Abby says "beautiful!!"
Abby colored on herself with black permanent marker. Emma is trying to
explain to her that our body is a temple to her and says "our temple is
made out of bodies" lol... That came out wrong... I cracked up.
This morning Emma dressed Bre and changed her diaper best 5 year old ever.
Took Bre with me to Payless, worst mistake ever! "Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!"
As she pulled out pair after pair to show me and try them on.
Abby whispering: Emma I'll give you this toy if you go clean our room by yourself.
I thought that's what the big sister was supposed to say... Lol
Thanks to some lovely people in my life... my children now want to name their baby sister Elsa. Natalie Clemens & Debbie Johnson Cutler
My kids "Good guys choose the right and bad guys choose the left!"
So today I asked Emma which of her friends at school she plays with the
most at recess. She said "oh the boys. I'm always on the boys team. It's
more fun" LOL
Best feeling ever: when I drop Emma off at kindergarten and all the kids
scream in excitement and give her hugs. She's an awesome kid.
Emma is pretty upset that there is no school tomorrow, she keeps telling
me she's going to go anyway. She is SURE her teacher and friends will
be there.
It's
a natural phenomenon. When you put 14, 5/6 yr old girls in one room and
turn on "Let It Go" they will all stop what they are doing and sing at
the top of their lungs.
Tonight Emma says "lets make a deal. I will help you clean up the house
and then we'll play go fish!" I said "well... After we clean the house
we need to do your homework". Her reply "YES! it's so fun! It's a deal!"
I think I won that one.
I've been spoiled. Been driving Logan's car today and I actually have to USE a key... Not just have it with me.
Abby is asleep and starts whining in her sleep "it's not a big one...
It's a small one!" So I said "do you want a big one?" Abby "yes!" Me "ok
let's go get a big one!" And she relaxes instantly and stops crying in
her sleep, lol.
Freezing. Then I realized some little monkey turned the thermostat to 52!!! It's 60 degrees in my house.
Best lines from Emma's first day yesterday. Abby after we dropped Emma
off at kindergarten, "I hope Emma makes lots of friends today!" and then when I picked Emma up, "I just had a great time today Mom!"
As we drove down the street to run errands...
Abby "MOM! Did you remember the keys???"
Me "yes"
Abby "ohhhhhh goooooood"
My wedding ring fits Emma o_0
You know you're a mommy when you text all your friends, "ABBY JUST PEED
IN THE TOILET AND SHE'S HAPPY ABOUT IT!!!" And it's like the best day
ever.
Tonight Abby told me she hates clocks and she wants to get rid of them so I can't see that it's bedtime.
This morning Emma named her stuffed dog, Boozey. Anyone else think there is something wrong with this name? Lol
And Abby is watching a ballerina documentary. She's at least 30 mins in and fascinated.
Abby, "hey! Uncle Nathan lives at aunt IsaBelle 's house!" Lol
Emma's current favorite song is Skater Boy by Avril Lavigne. *facepalm*
Emma's imaginary friends are sort of driving me nuts.
I just asked Abby if she likes the princesses on the walls and she said
"yeah *big sigh* but they don't talk, cuz their squished"
Emma woke me up in the middle of the night to show me that the tooth fairy had come! Lol
I don't even know how long it's been... But Abby is sleeping through the
night without scratching her dry skin. Her skin is soft and smooth for
the first time in years. So grateful for modern medicine and the
miracles I've witnessed recently on her skin.
Emma just told Abby she can't get a baby in her tummy until she's 27 or 70 lol
As I got the kids going with their quiet time Emma turns to me and says,
"Mom, you never have to clean the house alone. I will always be there
to help you." Haha, I'm holding her to that.
Me: Abby are you going to bed tonight?
Abby: I don't think so.
I was singing "let it go" this morning... And Emma told me I sounded just like Elsa. Thanks! I wish... Haha
Neighbors: I promise my kids are not dying. Those are happy "I love being outside" screams.
I said to Abby "Abby, just tell me I'm crazy!" Her reply "oh no mom! You're beautiful!"
Emma what's your favorite part of Frozen?
Emma: "when Anna punches Hans in the face and he falls in the water!"
Today an older lady at WalMart told Abby she had pretty sparkly shoes.
Abby looked at her shyly, lifted the side of her dress with one foot in
front of the other and daintily curtsied. It was the cutest thing I've
ever seen. The lady LOVED it
Emma was hiding from me earlier and I asked her where she was and she yelled out "In the United States of America!" lol
And Abby changes her own diaper...
Emma's sad shoes. I banned her from wearing them anywhere but at home. I
made her wear her boots to school today and she was furious. Well...
When I picked her up she was wearing these sad shoes. So I asked her.
She said, "I hid them in my backpack and switched when I got to school."
Say what?!!?!?!?
Me: Emma did you have fun at preschool today?
Emma: ugh mom. I was boy-trapped.
Haha! I forgot all about that phrase til now. Cracked me up!
Because I wouldn't let her hold ALL of the spoons and forks at dinner… I
guess I thought that everyone needed to be able to use their own or
something lol. #sillybre #babytantrum
I love the great things kids say in Primary. Yesterday my favorite was:
Teacher: what do we have to do so we can live with Jesus again?
Little Girl: DIE!
