Just wanted to blog updates about the kids. Ella continues to love school. Mrs. McKinney has already read "James and the Giant Peach" and now they are reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". If you know Ella, she's in-love with books and can we say that the oral reading time is her favorite part of the day. I'm surprised by this, but she says her favorite class is Spanish. She has it once a week and seems to love it. We are so thankful and relieved that this transition to school is going pretty well for her.

Luke is adjusting to life without his sister during the day. He is playing more independently and using his imagination more. The other day we were outside playing and I asked what he was doing. His response was, "I'm building an auto shop". Since Ella started school, Luke has really been motivated to read and do "academic" activities. Take for instance yesterday he wanted to read something other than truck books and then he wanted to do a think-it-through (it's a logical game for preschoolers). I love being able to spend one-on-one time with Luke, since we have not been able to do that before.
