Simple Easter pleasures

*Decorating easter eggs--food coloring and rubber bands work great!
*Excitement over underpants and a water bottle from the Easter bunny
*Matching argyle socks on all 3 boys
*Resurrection Eggs--best thing I ever made in Relief Society to remember the true reason for Easter
*Eggs ala Golden Rod--scrumptious way to use decorated hard boiled eggs
8 hard boiled eggs (whites chopped, yolks grated)
Make a white sauce (3 T flour and 4 T melted butter into a rue...then add 1 cup of milk, whisk until smooth)
Put in skillet and stir until thick (put chopped whites in too!) adding more milk as needed
Salt and pepper to taste
Serve over toast (sprinkle the grated yolks on top!)
*Easter--a great excuse to try and make a bunny ice cream cake
*A compilation of Nobmann/Herzog traditions mushed into one
*A SUNNY DAY

Female model needed!

This is what happens when I need to make sure I made Milania's dress the right size. Smiles now...I'm guessing when he's 15 he won't volunteer quite as easily.

Gym+Kids=Sickos

Ever since January, I have been allowed to go to the gym (Cruz was 6 months in January, that = golden ticket to the kid's club). It has been quite a nasty trick on the gym rat inside of me and a terrible cycle--and I'm not talking spin class cycle. Every time I take the little men to the gym they have a great time, but it has never failed...someone gets sick and then the cycle begins. You aren't allowed to bring your kids to the gym with a runny nose. Great concept, but at this rate, I'm going to the gym once a month. I'm so glad we pay for our kids to get sick. Lucky for me its sunny outside (to keep my heart pumpin') and Cruz weighs 19 lbs. (to keep the gun show alive).

Punishment

Oshyn has become a little destructive lately. I can't even take a shower without something getting destroyed. By the end of the week, I was at my last straw and when he came into my room with a book--one page at a time, some action had to be taken. R-E-S-P-E-C-T for our property must be learned somehow. So all of his books (which are shelved in the red wagon) were bagged up and put away. Oshyn LOVES to read so I thought this would be very heart wrenching. It was...for about one minute. Then he realized his wagon was free for riding in again and the painful punishment turned into a marvelous pleasure.

He has since felt a bit of sorrow for his books, but getting them all back might be more of a punishment.

Bball season comes to an end

This past Saturday was Oshyn, and the rest of the Jazz's last game. I snapped a few pictures of my favorite players to share with you. (Maybe this will give Skeeto some motivation for #2.)

This little hot shot was from the other team. During one part of the game, Oshyn and L.H.S. stopped mid-play and started comparing and talking about their glasses. Super funny.

This is Sean. I love him. He is so cute with his braids. Maybe I love the braids because they bring me back to a time when Beau too had his hair all braided up...mmm--probably not. Sean's family screams for him like he is in the NBA. I love them too.

Isaac Panttaja. The whole reason we dared to join a Stockton team in the first place. Oshyn worships the ground you walk on and like I've said before, wants to be part of your immediate family. Cousins isn't quite close enough.

When Oshyn's coaches were handing out awards at the end, they told all of the boys something special about them. It went kind of like this..."You did so well this season! You learned to... dribble/play defense/shoot the ball", etc.(you get my point) When it was Oshyn's turn his lady coach said, "Oshyn. I just LOVE you. You're awesome! I just want to hang out with you!! You say the funniest stuff...we're like on the same maturity level". Maybe it was the way she said it or maybe its just her, Grammie, Grandad, & Grandma Annie might know what I'm talking about--having seen her. Anywho, we were cracking up.
Congrats Oshyn. Great season.

Backyard Tendencies

We are seeing a few trends in this household. Every time we are in our backyard...
Oshyn takes off his shirt
and

Cruz eats dirt--mmm! (must taste better than the weeds.)

Let the Vrooming begin

Cruz is already starting to vroom his cars. So cute to watch him crawl and race the car around the house. Its amazing how fast they catch onto things. Oshyn continues to remind me that he is STILL faster than Cruz though.
