Colorful Bleeding

If one were to have seen Cruz's bed this morning they might have thought he had been bleeding through the night---possibly having nicked an artery...except for the fact that it was in a variety of colors. Yes, my lovely night owl of a son decided that Tuesday night was art night. I know he's only TWO, but this kid is smart and just does this kind of stuff, not because he thinks its okay, just because he's already ransacked the rest of the joint. Color the sheets, color his clothes, color his hands, heck why not his face? Maybe it was because we had read "I Ain't Gonna Paint No More" earlier that day? Who knows, but truly who makes kid's markers that aren't washable? And why do we have them? Cruzer might just be tattooed fo life!
How long can you be upset with a face like this?
I think I'll change his name to Eddie Haskel.

6 weeks and Chubby Cheeks

Sweet

Sweet

Baby boy

Smiles on a #3 kid are just as gratifying as on #1 and #2.

And he already has the aloha spirit! Good on ya Tyce man.

Someone once told me the 1st 6 weeks after having a baby are the hardest. Well, we made it as of today--now it will get easy right? :)
I am excited to be able to RUN and get some blood pumpin'.

Cooking with Chef Oshyn

We got a nice pot for Christmas and Oshyn got a chef outfit. Beau has him convinced that the pot was for him to cook us all dinner in. If I use it without him helping make dinner he says "Oh so you're using my pot?" He is one serious chef. Beau called home as O was "making" dinner. The timer went off and I was upstairs getting Tyce. He all but freaked out to know what to do next (he forgot what I told him). Oshyn told Beau he couldn't talk right now he was busy making dinner and then ran upstairs frantically. He was so proud of himself when it was all finished and of course loved to eat the dinner HE made.

Conversations with Cruz (and some -isms)

As we were eating cereal this morning (just me and the Cruz meister) he looks across the table at me and said, "How was Mutual?" FYI I had mutual on Tuesday, but everytime he wants to talk he asks me about Mutual. I told him it was pretty good and then proceeded to ask him about Nursery. With a big smile on his face (because I asked about his day) he said, "It was good. But Daddy said I couldn't bring cars." I reminded him how nice it was that Nursery had some cars to share.
"But the other kids weren't sharing with me,"
"Oh no! What did you say to them?"
"Just nasty words so I could get them," (of course with his Cruz smerk on his face)
before I could use any motherly teaching on him and ask if there was something else he could have done, he quickly added, "and the other girls were nakie in there!"
Ahhh! Can't wait until you're 16 my son :)

"I'm not a boy--I'm a Daddy!"

"I don't need some milk--the track is always lit. Kachow."

"When I go to bed, then I will come out and ask you a question?"

"Mom but its wake up time--It's 7 o'clock!" (When he is supposed to be taking an afternoon nap)

Over the holidays Cruz heard often, "You're special" or "Your precious" from various family members. He always responded, "NO I'm NOT, I'm CRUZ MILLER NOBMANN!"

"Probably I really will"
"Probably I don't want one"
(or most anything starting with Probably)

Driving in the car he likes to listen to music, often asking for the 'Cars' songs and more recently 'Tonight's going to be a good good night'. He tells me that I can be the air guitar and he will be the singer.

After Cruz prayed at dinner he said to Beau,
"Dad, I prayed that Jesus won't get killed on the blessing."
"You mean that Jesus won't get killed on the cross?"
"Yea, he will. He did."

When we play with Cruz he has explicit instructions as to how we can play and what to do. We often hear, "NOT LIKE THAT?!?"

"Oh no! There's commercinals!"

As cocky and confident as Cruz is, he is very cautious and a bit nervous to try new things. Cruz can hold his own with
Oshyn and loves to wrestle. If he is losing he knows how to make us turn--by screaming like a woman. I hate screaming. Cruz is definitely a cheese ball and loves to make us all laugh and is VERY successful at that!

Delirious

Not making it very often into the deepest sleeps, I have been having some crazy dreams...
  • Skydiving at 9 months pregnant--with my bishop
  • Running with a step-cousin, 2 weeks after having Tyce
  • Seeing the Prophet being driven around and followed by a helicopter--thinking, wow I didn't know he had a house in Cali too!
  • Making cinnammon rolls
  • My high school friends having kids together--not married to each other
  • I belong to a really cool gym but I always forget to bring the right card to get in
  • Multiple times I am talking face to face with blogger buddies
  • Admiring the sunny blue skies (yes Beau, this makes me very happy)
  • Feeding Tyce (only to wake up and realize it was a dream and having to do it again)
  • Trying to get the phone number to our friends that put in fence posts for cows?!?
  • Playing lazer tag with my Dad and brother because it is my Dad's b-day
Interesting and entertaining. I never know what kind of adventure I'm going on next as I attempt to sleep each night. Thanks for the good times Tyce boy.

Skinny Jeans

As Oshyn was putting on these pants he called them his "skinny jeans". After laughing for a bit I asked him about them. He said kids at his school call their jeans skinny jeans. When I asked to take his picture he said, "They probably won't think that they are". I said, "Who?" O said, "The people you are going to send this picture to".
My little string bean's got me figured out. :)

Straight Kefir

My kids have been wanting dessert or sugar after dinner ever since the holiday overabundance. I feel like they need a break, but the other night I told them they could have something that was kind of like a milkshake & kind of like a smoothie. They were immediately pumped up and asked what it was. I told them "Kefir". They've seen it in our fridge and I put it in smoothies for the guys, but only I've drank it straight--hey it was worth a try. I poured it in little egg cups and they drank it up.
"Kefir is sooooo good"

"I love you kefir"

"I love it all the way until I'm infinity"
And then when they finished they both asked
"Can I have more?"
And when I said "Sure," and that they could have some EVERY day, the shock on their faces was priceless.
You scream, I scream, We all scream for Ice Cream...I mean Kefir!
