Happy Halloween!

Uneventful Halloween - YES! No flushing of toys or uninstalling toilets or the need to call a plumber. Ahh, good times. I would have to say, this Halloween was down right boring for the grownups. Kids - Had a good time. Why? Lots o' candy and no other reason. And there was a cute puppy with an outfit on that glowed in the black light - he was a hit.

Supergirl - up, up and away!!!!
Really, you need how many more goofy pictures of me?
I am Supergirl Mom, everyone gets it....

Trevor needed to demonstrate his ninja moves. Move #1

Move #2

He only approved 2 pictures as being cool enough moves for everyone to share. After each picture he had to look in the view finder to see if it was "some cool moves" or LAME! they were all cool in my book.

Happy 9

Annika has had quite a birthday. Up at 6 to hover around until we let her open her presents. Very happy with the purse, bracelet, Webkinz and tickets to Gammage to see Phantom of the Opera - her first broadway production! After school her friend came over and they decorated until 6 more of her friends came over to party! They did a toilet paper mummy wrap and watched movies. At 2am, they were all still up (except Annika) I dont know how they do it!

She had a great birthday!

Student of the Month

Nope, not Annika this time.....can these kids get any more awesome! Yes, they can. Trevor won Student of the Month for September for Kingergarden. We didnt tell him about it and they called his friend Jasmine for the month before. When they called his name, he lept up out of the chair and ran up front to the principal. Ms. Allen talked about why he won the award.

His teacher wrote:

"Trevor is a great example for other children to follow. He never has to be asked twice to do an assignment or help with clean up. He is liked by his fellow students and does his best to get a long with everyone. He does a great job of listening and participating during class discussions. He is a wonderful student and an asset to our classroom!" - Ms. Gagich

So excited for the little man. He kept asking what it meant to be Student of the Month - Did he get to be the boss? Did he get to do whatever he wanted at school? I told him it just meant he did a super awesome job. I guess the spitting incident has been forgotten about.

You would think he would be happy. I think he was a little suprised still.

Annika's State Fair Cake

Annika decided to enter the Arizona State Fair again this year. Her entry is the the Cake Decorating - Non edible (good thing because the cake is made out of cardboard and the fondant has flour in it, NOT tasty). The only thing I helped do was make the fondant (so I now have bright pink hands) and help her cover the cake in the green. The decorating I left up to her.

Annika worked very hard on the cake today making snakes, ladybugs, butterflies and leaves. I find this cake spectacular!

Last year Annika won for a card she made in her age group, so hopefully she will get another ribbon for her beautiful cake.
