Maya's 1st Reconciliation

Maya received her second sacrament today--her 1st Reconciliation.  She met with Father John all by herself and recieved a special coin afterwards.  She was so proud, as are we of her.  In just a few more months, she will receive her third sacrament--her 1st Communion. What a big girl she is becoming!

The back-side of the coin she received today can be read very easily, but unfortunately, my zoom didn't focus right for the front-side.  With a picture of Jesus, it reads "Jesus I trust in you."

Annual Sienna Snow Day

We took cousin Cannon with us to the annual Sienna Snow Day (It was a last-minute outing so he had to borrow a sweatshirt and mittens from Cortlyn--hence the pink mittens in the first pic)...They all had fun digging in the snow for awhile.  Although it became a bit too cold for Cortlyn and Cannon, Maya had a blast creating a HUGE snowball.

Posing With Mickey In His Soccer Uniform

Mac's team won their bracket at the Disney Showcase and non other than Mickey Mouse himself made an appearance at the awards ceremony.

Maya and Cortlyn were so excited to get their picture taken with him again--this time while wearing his soccer uniform! =)

Downtown Disney

We also had fun at Downtown Disney a couple of the nights we were there--eating good food, checking out the stores, etc.

Our first time there, Maya and Cortlyn were fascinated by the huge creations made out of Legos by the Lego store. Afterwards, we went to eat at T-Rex (much like Rainforest Cafe, but all dinosaurs).

The next time, before eating, the girls got to ride the carousel and Maya partcipated in a dance competition with some of the soccer girls' siblings (There is a very SHORT snip-it on video here).

Disney World Part 13

Finally, it was time for the nighttime parade--We made our way over there early to make sure we got a good spot. On the way, we came across several Disney characters drawn on the pathway, done by a Disney employee who used nothing more than water coming out of a little spray nozzle. Pretty impressive! He did each one in just a few seconds!

When the parade began, the girls had so much fun waving to all of the characters and, on the way out of the park, tons of fake snow fell around us.  What a perfect ending to the night! =)

Disney World Part 12

We also got to meet Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen before watching one of the day-time parades where they invite you to get out in the street and sing and dance with the characters.  Lots of fun! =)

Disney World Part 11

I realized, after I finished the last post, that I goofed on a Parts 9 and 10 a little--We actually went to Mickey and Minnie's houses after we saw Rapunzel and Flynn--I remembered that when I was looking back and saw that Maya and Cortlyn's hair was done at the houses and on the playground (ha! =))--Oops!

So...After Rapunzel, we met Mac at Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride and also worked in the Jungle Cruise (although I don't have any pics from that one)...

Afterwards, we headed to the front of the park to see Snow White.
We  ventured into Tomorrow Land for some rides--First, was Stitch's Great Escape which turned out to be a very BAD idea (Much like the Dinosaur ride in the Animal Kingdom). Cortlyn was TERRIFIED from the first second in (maybe it was pitch black room we were in or perhaps the big monster that spit water in between her eyeballs?!). Who'd have thought?!--She really likes the cartoon, Lilo and Stitch, but it was FAR from being like that. We had to work HARD to stop the tears after that one! =)

Funny enough, we saw Stitch dancing in the walkway afterwards (along with Chip and Dale again)--She was willing to take her picture with Stitch, but was still a little traumatized from the ride itself (hence the frowning in both pictures). =)

The race cars, however, were a BLAST.  I couldn't stop laughing at Maya and Cortlyn's driving ability (or lack of)--Actually, I caught a glimpse of the future with Cortlyn sitting next to me in the drivers seat--one hand on the wheel most of the time (and not any more comforting when she had both on the wheel), turned around facing backwards, yelling and laughing at Maya and Mac hysterically--YIKES!! =)  And then there was Maya--focused as can be (although she could barely see over the steering wheel)--driving straight ahead, trying so hard not to make a mistake, bump into the rail, etc.  But, with that said, she did find it hilarious when she ran into the back of Cortlyn and I!! =)
