Today we took our first trip to the American Girl Store in Dallas and we had a precious time. Even more special than our lunch and shopping was our time with ALL the grandmothers at once. Gigi, Bebe and Granny Fran, Haley and I ate lunch at the American Girl Bistro then let Haley shop for her 5th Birthday in the store downstairs.
It was precious to see Haley's eyes sparkle as she picked up the dolls and decided what she wanted. She ended up with Kit, who looks just like her. What a precious moment in time to share with the grandmothers! Haley was adorable and her delight and joyful heart as she admired all the dolls was so sweet. I am so excited that we got to enjoy this wonderful day together. I hope I never forget this day and the precious memories that we shared together. (Thank you God for giving me a girl:)

New Year New Weather

The weather has been so cold here this winter that we have been home building tents, playing with new Christmas toys and trying to stay warm. We are off to a cold start for the New Year but excited none the less about all that this year will hold for our family.
It is hard to believe that in a few weeks Haley will turn 5 and she'll be headed to Kindergarten this fall. Don't let me talk about it or I might cry. Evan is still as exciting as ever and will start preschool in the fall. I won't even know what to do with 2 days alone a week but am sure I will figure something fabulous out! Jed and I also celebrate our 10 year anniversary this year....how is that possible?
Jed and are I dreaming big dreams and praying big prayers for our church Restoration as well. Even though I missed our first Sunday of the new year home with a sick kid, I heard it was wonderful. We start our Alpha groups at 5 or 6 houses throughout the Dallas area next week and I can't wait to see who all God brings to each group. What an exciting adventure.
For now, we are healthy, thankful for all our friends and family and ready for 2010!
