On Saturday, we went to California Adventure. We hadn't been there for 6 years. The kids had so much fun. Again, Sydney was tall enough for most everything. Brandon and the boys had been trying ALL day to get me on Hollywood Tower of Terror, but I didn't want to go. Then at the end of the day, they pretty much forced me to go. Even Sydney was excited to go on it . Never again!!! I hated it. We took a picture of the picture they take on the ride. I look terrified.
The parade at CA was great. It was Pixar characters that squirted water at everyone. It was definately one of the best parades I've seen there.

Disneyland/Halloween
This year we skipped Halloween. No costumes, no trick or treating, no candy. We spent Nevada Day at Disneyland and Halloween at California Adventure. We had tons of fun with Grandma and Grandpa Cecil and Todd and Heidi's family.
I can't believe that Sydney was tall enough for most of the rides. I actually thought we might get away without a stroller because the kids are all getting older, but even Mason needed the stroller for a while. I wish I could have ridden in the stroller. Here's a slide show of Disneyland.

Staff Development Day
Why are there so many staff development days? It seems like there is one every month. In October, I felt like being a nice mom and took the kids out to Boulder City. I'd heard there was a pond with ducks and fish, and also a skate/BMX park. We'd never been out there and it was fun. Sydney had fun tossing bread to the birds and ducks and Cody was the bravest at the skate park. Somehow I missed Mason, I didn't get any pictures of him. Sorry, bud.
Catchin' Up - Mason's Baptism
Mason was baptized on September 19th. He still had his cast on. Dallin was worried that he wasn't ALL in white, with a blue cast. I think Heavenly Father understands.
We're so proud of Mason. He is such a good kid.

Today, November 3rd, Mason finally got his cast off. He had to have it on for 8 weeks. He was such a trooper. He never complained once.
This is his black cast that mom and dad decorated for Halloween. Bye, bye stinky cast!!!!!

Sydney's First Day of Preschool
This day couldn't have come soon enough. Sydney has been waiting to go to preschool since she knew what school was.
She loved it. She said it was a little long, but she had fun.
Cute girl!!!!
She's doing one of those red carpet poses, the one that's supposed to make you look skinny. I should try it.
Birthday Weekend

9-9-09
Today is Mason's birthday. It's also my Dad's birthday. He's 59 on 9-9-09. Too bad Mason isn't turning 9. That would be crazy.
Mason is turning 8. I can't believe it. He is so little, its hard to believe he is old enough to be baptized and be in Cub Scouts. His baptism in on Sept. 19th at 2:00pm. All are welcome to come.
Unfortunately, Mason broke his arm on Sunday night. We weren't sure it was even broken because he could still move it pretty good. Of course, Monday was a holiday, so the Dr. was closed. On Tuesday, it was more swollen so I took him in, and sure enough, both bones were broken in his right forearm.
Now, Dallin and Cody have already broken arms. But they broke their left arms. So, poor Mason, is going to have to learn to do things with his left. I hope he's getting along OK at school today.
Mason is also having a birthday party at the lake this weekend. We made sure he got a waterproof cast. So, between the lake, baptism and showering, the waterproof cast will come in handy.

Utah Vacation
We took a summer vacation to Utah last week. We don't have any family there, we were strictly tourists. It started bad, but ended up great. We flew into Salt Lake then proceeded to the rental car place at 11:00pm. They informed us (and the other 2 people waiting) that they didn't have any cars. NONE! Their lot was empty. Apparently, there was a scrapbooking convention and all the rental cars were taken. (Only in Utah!!!) We had to get a hotel nearby, then wait for our car. AT 10am the next day we got to our hotel we had already booked in American Fork. It was horrible. It smelled like cigars, it had an empty pool with chairs floating in it, and I think we were the only ones there. We ended up finding another hotel at Thanksgiving Point which was so nice. We went to Seven Peaks water park and got rained out. We did alot of shopping at stores we don't have here in Vegas, and spent a whole day at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. Very fun!! It is so pretty there. Oh... and I also recorded a song for a LDS music competion and attended a workshop.
This is a 2 week old pony at Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. He was so cute. You can also see Mason's souvenier from the museum.
Some of the gardens at TP.

Riding at "real life carousel" at TP. Dallin was a little less enthused.
The museum of Ancient Life. Cody was trying to look scared. Very cool!!

Summer Happenings
Not much exciting going on this summer. I'm just trying to stay sane. We did take a day trip to the Mandalay Bay. We did the Shark Reef for the first time, then swam at the pool there. My brother is a lifeguard there and got us in.
Cody visited the eye doctor and we found that he needed glasses. I think he looks cute.
Speaking of Cody, I forgot to post his induction into the 500 club at school. He scored a perfect score on his Math CRT test. Good job Cody!

Roommates
I sort of feel bad that Cody and Mason have to share a room. Don't get me wrong, they play great together and they are best friends. They just seem to not agree on how to keep their room clean. First two pictures are Cody's dresser and bed. Note the clothes on the floor and the laundry basket that contains clean, folded clothes that were supposed to be put away. Dresser drawers never pushed in, bed never made. That's Cody!!!

Mason's dresser nicely organized, drawers pushed in, trophies organized.
Mason's bed before he leaves for school. Pajamas folded, bed made and clothes put away. That's Mason!!!
I hope they continue to live in harmony.
