Thinking Positive

I am starting to feel the SPRING BUG. Projects are brewing in my head, wanted (needed)vacations, silky smooth legs (I shave my legs only once a week in the winter), painted toe nails, tulips, blossoms on trees, and being outside in my yard is justing the beginning. As I look outside and see the snow falling, I am trying to stay positive. We need the mositure. Soon the first signs of spring will be here, and I will see the tulip buds pop out of the ground on my way to the mailbox. I just need to have patience.

Happy Birthday Alex

I can't believe Alex is 6 years old! This past week, our family celebrated his birthday by having a couple of parties, and going to Jungle Jim's. It was an excited and fun week and I am all tired out. Something that I am extremely proud of is the birthday cake I made. (with a little help from my wonderful life saving neighbor, Heather) His latest rage is Super Mario Brothers, so his cake had to be Mario. I was able to find the idea on the Internet and was quite surprised how great it turned out.

Because Alex is 6, I thought I would write S IX things I just love about that boy

**1** He is very thoughtful and kind

**2**He is a great big brother to his two sisters

**3**His smile

**4**The way he dresses himself (layer upon layer of clothes)

**5**How he draws me pictures

**6** He a big helper and surprises me by making my bed in the mornings.

The list could go on and on! I love that boy! I am so grateful to be his mother!

Snowing Gum Drops

Do you remember singing this song when you were in grade school?
If all the raindrops
Were lemondrops and gumdrops
Oh, what a rain that would be!
Standing outside, with my mouth open wide
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If all the raindrops
Were lemondrops and gumdrops
Oh, what a rain that would be!
If all the snowflakes
Were candy bars and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow that would be!
Standing outside, with my mouth open wide
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
If all the snowflakes
Were candy bars and milkshakes
Oh, what a snow that would be!

It is so cute because whenever I take Paige out in the snow or rain, she always sticks out her tongue and says, "Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah" with a big smile on her face.

Funny Moment

Since, I am so far behind on my blogging, I thought I would post a funny picture. Back in October, my grandmother passed away. We went up to Wyoming for her funeral. The service was really nice and it was good to see extended family. My Grandfather passed away about thirteen years ago, so it is nice that my grandparents can now be together.
At my Grandfather funeral thirteen years ago, his siblings came to pay their respects. Some of his sisters there were Polygamist. We were all quite surprised to see them because many of us had not met them before.
While we were attending the viewing for my Grandmother in October, we kept waiting for my Polygamist great aunts to show up. (By the way, they weren't able to make it.) I thought it would be funny to take this picture with my new brother-in-law Curtis and my sister Sara. Needless to say, I made Curtis feel very uncomfortable. Welcome to the FAMILY!

Planning a Party!

Okay, so Alex is going to have his sixth birthday in about ten days. It's always a big deal about what kind of party we are going to have, what we are going to do, etc.. This year the theme is going to be... (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) MARIO BROTHERS! I haven't played Super Mario Brothers since I was like ten years old on Heather McMurray's Nintendo. Plus I was never very good, nor did I ever save the princess. I googled it, and there wasn't much. Anybody have any ideas about what to do?

A Year of New Blogging

New Years 2009!

Okay, so I haven't been blogging after I comitted to do better. I am completely lame. I probably don't have anyone who stops by and visits anymore. My bad. I've decided to post my randomness of things and thoughts I have during the day with occasional pictures of my family. This might be less stressful and allow some peace of mind.

Public Restrooms

I absolutely hate them. Of course, I am grateful to have a place to go to the bathroom when we are out and about, but GERMS are all over the place. I am usually not a Germ Phobic, but when I take my kids in there, especially my daughter Maggie, I get stressed. For some reason, the toliet paper/ cover never stays on the seat and Maggie wants to touch everything. The absolute worst place to take your child to the bathroom is the park!
