And here are all the outtakes. To say that he's completely over these monthly pictures is an understatement.
We've had a fun filled February and the month's not over yet! We took Hayes to his first Mardi Gras parade in Mobile and had a great time.
With the funnel cake booth in the background and my boys in the front, this picture should be titled, "Things I love!"
Hey mister, throw me some beads!
Holy Cow! Did I really just catch the worlds largest plastic cigar?
A built in safety vest!
Hayes had his first Valentine's Day party at school. I never thought I'd be one of those mamas that went completely overboard on school projects, but as soon as a note came home informing us that the kids would be passing out Valentine's day cards, my crazy came out. I wanted Hayes' cards to be super cute and since I'm not creative at all, I called in the big gun...my sister. She's always up for a craft project!
Two Saturday's ago, Chrissy and I met for breakfast to plan our attack. We started at Hobby Lobby, moved on to Michael's and finished at Office Max. Forty dollars of supplies, a box of lemon heads and a Dairy Queen coke later we headed home!!
(One random item of note...my sister knows way more about all the isles at Hobby Lobby and Michael's than most of the workers.)
Once we got home, we set up our work station (the dining room) and got started. (Right after we had some girl scout cookies for energy.) Here's the finished product:
I think they turned out great! Yes, I did give out candy to a bunch of six month olds. And yes, those are mustache stickers in the packages. We had hours of fun with those!
Chrissy and I thought Hayes looked like a cute Charlie Chaplin. James said, "well once person's Charlie Chaplin is another person's Hilter." We quickly removed his mustache and didn't speak of it again.
Here are a few pictures of the party:
Mrs. Henrietta and her "Sugar Drop"
This past weekend, James crossed an item off of his bucket list and went on a pig hunt. I regret to inform you that he killed a boar. However, what I regret even more is that it's head is now in the deep freezer awaiting a trip to the taxidermist. I think he's trying to decide if I'm serious about burning the house to the ground if he mounts another animal.
(Disclaimer: Don't look at this picture if you're squeamish or a member of PETA.)
While James was hunting, daddy, Hayes and I took a trip to the beach to visit Bebe and Coach. We had such a great time. I always love going home.

Happy birthday daddy!!
We can't wait to see what the rest of February has in store!
