just in case anyone is missing this.......
i'm seriously going thru withdrawels! i miss sytycd SO much! i was at the gym yesterday and they were playing the slc auditions (w/ gev and the mom who took her 4 kids) and was reminded how much i LOVED this past season! hopefully next year will be just as good! i miss twitch! so many good dances, but this is one of my FAVS! enjoy! i'm so saving the episodes on our dvr for next season! till next may 09! i guess......

birthdays & a monsoon!
i can't believe how many bday's are in august! there must be LOTS o LOVE in nov/dec! anyway, we went to craig's house on sunday to celebrate his "54"! we had yummy food and good company!

on mon, we went to a bday party for caleb, and where did we go you might ask? the totally awesome chuck e. cheese! carter was dying ALL day to go! it was actually really fun we had pizza and kari & justin hooked us all up w/ a bunch of tokens! and the best part was it wasn't crowded at all! thanks guys we had a lot of fun! carter can't wait to go back!

then tues, we went to karis & marty's house to celebrate kate's "6"! she looked so cute w/ her little crown on!
on mon, while the kids were napping the loudest monsoon came thru (it literally looked like a tornado outside)! it was crazy! savvy woke up during the storm and i was determined to finish cleaning, so she kicked it in the tub, just eatin some popcorn! so cute!
all the toys got turned upside down and the water quickly drenched everything! trees everywhere in our neighborhood fell over! luckily ours are still holdin strong :)!

17 months!
i can't believe it! next month savanna will be off to nursery! my baby is growing up :(! sometimes i wish she'd stay little forever, but at the same time it's so fun to see her personality come out more and more. she still doesn't have many words other than mama, dadda, ball, hieee, dog, go, shoe, ma for milk, eye, and a few other grunt type that only we really understand. so i decided if she's never gonna talk we'll try to use sign, so she uses some of those such as milk, thank you, baby, her version of please, bye-bye, bird, more, cracker, water, etc. it's cute to see her use it. she is trying to be more and more independent and wants to do things on her own! which can also lead to her feisty temper tantrum throwing ways (but she's still so freakin cute when she has them)! she loves following me or carter around the house and it's super cute! she is really such a joy to have in our home and we love her sooooo much! happy 17 months savanna!

i LOVE you more!
so brennan claims he taught carter the i LOVE you more game (i swear i did), but we'll roll w/ bren. anyway, it's super cute for example i will say "i love you more" and carter will say "no i love you more" etc! to put a little twist on it carter will say " i love you more than incredible hulk" and then i'll say " i love you more than wonder woman". you get the picture and you're always trying to up one, like batman, iron man, spider man etc. it's actually really cute and i love that carter loves to play "the game"! it seriously melts my heart when he tells me he loves me on his own! so cute! carter is obsessed w/ all the super hero types right now. i think it's come from hangin out w/ some of the bigger kids. it's so fun to have a boy and get to see things thru his eyes (since i didn't have a bro). and carter is ALL boy! we love you carter and it's so fun how much you are turning into your mom and dad's little buddy!

jeans in az? in august?
i know some people don't mind wearing jeans when it's 110 outside, but i'm not the biggest fan, so a chance to escape the heat for a weekend was sounding de-vine! we got invited by the boswell fam (craig & dawna) to go stay at a cabin they rented in forest lakes, az. it was crazy that w/in 2 hours the temp went from 105 or so to 75 degrees! it was sooooo nice! we were only there for 36 hrs and a bit sleep deprived, but it was fun to kick it sitting by the fire and having chats w/ craig & dawna and fam. as always they are SUCH awesome hosts and we felt totally welcome! thanks sooooo much you guys we had a great time!
craig & dawna are great cooks, so we were served break, lunch, dinner! yum-O! this is outside the cabin. carter was last to get up both mornings, so savanna was keeping him company!
this is cute little ella. i think i sang rihanna's "umbrella" song a million times this weekend! she didn't seem to mind though :)!
stephen brought his little toy quad up, so it was an incentive to get carter to go potty so he could go riding!
where dogs are is where savanna is! she is in LOVE w/ dogs! she was trying to feed the dogs food at any given time!
we went near payson and hiked up some pretty steep rocks and found some little pools and enjoyed the nice weather and water. like i said where the dogs are, so is savvy!

savanna could NOT get enough food! she ate 2 hot dogs and then was stealin carter's hamburger patty! this is the 2nd one she stole after already eating carter's other burger!

my baby started pre-school!
i can't believe it, carter is old enough to go to pre school. i was a little stressed out makin sure he was potty trained and hoping he would do ok in his class you'd think i was sending him off to college or something! we bought him a batman backpack, spiderman water bottle, and some new clothes, and shoes so i think he's pretty set! his teacher's name is ms. stacey and she's really great! i woke him up 15 mins before we had to be there, so next time i'll make sure he's up a bit longer than that, but all in all i think his first day went well he said they learned about letters! so cute! i'm so excited for him to have this social interaction! i think he's pretty stoked on his school and all his friends. he came home saying that lucy and ellie were his girlfriends and that sam was his boyfriend! haha. so cute! love you carter!

our ut/id adventures
so we are back! we have been gone soooo much this summer, but this time instead of going to ca we took our ut/id trip! we were busy non stop! we had a ton o fun and enjoyed being w/ fam and friends. we never get to see everyone we'd like to see, but hopefully next time we can get caught up! here are some of our pics from our trips (there are a ton....again). i'll explain as i go thru!
we celebrated bren's gma rowe's 100th bday! how crazy 100 years! she is such a great lady and still lives on her own! carter is in LOVE w/ her and is always asking about gma rowe. the party was at the park in ogden and it was a bit on the hot side, but good times visiting w/ everyone! this is her dream car and so she got to go for rides thru out the day, honking and waving to everyone! so cute :)!
the hills are alive (w/the sound of music). seriously though, how freakin pretty is it here!

bren is so good to his gma and loves her so much (she def has a special spot for him too)!
we had some time before the party that night so we went to this spot where your def guaranteed to catch a fish. carter wasn't too sure about it and when savvy got a little close to the water he FREAKED out pulling her away saying "no no sananna you stay here, don't get close to the water"!

we went to island park for a few days and i soooo love it up there! it's absolutely beautiful! the weather was perf too!
we went to a bear/wolf park in west yellow stone (they of course were real, this is not :)
yellowstone is part in mo and wy i learned that while we were up there. the bear park was in mo and then we drove to firehole and the geysers in wy. this was soooo fun you jump into this fast moving water and it shoots you out down the riv (where we meet up w/ our kids). so so fun!

we were driving back from yellowstone and i saw this sunset and had to stop and take a pic!
we went 4 wheelin and it was fun, but DIRTY we took a pit stop and i went to the bathroom and my face looked ridiculous! sooooo dirty! the kids loved going for quick little rides, esp carter he didn't ever want to get off! thanks to gma for watchin the kids so we could go have fun!

this is bren's gma's cabin they bought back in the 80's, it's small, but functional the kids looked so cute chillin on the porch!
best friends (or at least i think so), savvy loves to follow carter and do what he does, it's so cute. carter is carrying his hulk and savvy is carrying his flash gordon!
after we left island park we stopped in rexy to get some lunch at craigos! i so LOVED that place when i went there. it's at a new location, but same recipes etc. we got the lunch buffet so no bread sticks, but next time! right ricks roomies?
i know i say it all the time, but i so HEART rex! i sometimes wish i could go back to those times for a few days! sooooo many great mems! i can't wait to go thru this temple!

we had a 90th bday celebration for bren's gpa cliff in bountiful! he is such a great man and has shown true hard work!

savanna is OBSESSED w/ the dogs they lick her and get in her grill and she just LOVES it. one of the pups literally pounded her on the ground 3 times and i was crying (ok just a couple tears) and she would just lay there! she really doesn't fear much! i don't know where she got her dog lovin! def not me! ok i guess bren :)!
