christmas sunday!

we had a great christmas sunday. bren and i both taught our last lesson for the year and then came home and prepared a yummy sunday feast to share w/ friends and fam. we had a fun night. i'm grateful for our savior and for this time of year to be reminded of his birth. i hope we can teach our kids to have a love for our savior and realize the sacrifice he made for us.

visit to see santa!

bren and i tried to take the kids to see santa on mon night for fhe, but when we got there at 8:05pm and they closed at 8 i was SO bummed esp since they were in their cute outfits and everything. since it was the week before christmas and we were leaving in a few days for ut, bren said he would take the kids while i was at mutual on wed. i was nervous how it would go down w/ all 3 of them. the pics turned out great! and no one cried to sit w/ santa! actually, my kids have never cried to sit w/ santa! cross my fingers it stays that way. although, a hysterical cry pic would be pretty funny!

jingle bells, jingle bells

last night for family night, we had our little fhe and sang jingle bells and now i can't get that song out of my head! it's cute to hear the kids sing (or try) to sing it too. christmas time just becomes more and more fun the bigger the kids get. we watched elf on sunday night and they both seemed to enjoy it. we have to pull out all the stuff now cause i know if we wait any longer it will be over! so tis the season to be jolly. love the spirit the season brings. hope all of you are enjoying this cooler weather and drinkin up on hot cocoa!

on a random note the kids made these forts the other day i thought it was pretty cleaver!

thanksgiving fun!

we had such a fun thanksgiving! being w/ family always goes by way too fast! it was fun to have the sumans, my dad, sis, and mere stay w/ us! we ate tons of food and played games till the wee hours! fun times. thanks SO much to craig and dawna for letting us all feast at their home in mesa for 3 days! they fed 90 people for thanksgiving, around 80 for the mexi fiesta, and about 45 for the kick butt breakfast! that's a lot of food! and yummy!

these two little ones are exactly 2 months apart, leah is such a smiley happy baby. it's fun to watch her and see what gavin will be doing soon!

thanksgiving marked gavin's 3 months! i can't believe he's been with us that long! it's gone by pretty fast! he's starting to sleep better at night and is so smiley! i love it! i need to do a post just on him, but for now this will do. (there was this twinkie joke running that day, so it's perfect that he is holding one)!

savvy was SO into having soda, but it was just a special occasion not the norm!

love these 2, i think my camera had at least 20 pics of just them!

eric, laura, and baby leah

the kids waiting to see santa!

i think carter thought it was the real deal and he would get exactly what he asked for and when he opened up a sucker he cried for a good 10 min. maybe we need to talk more to him about being grateful!
fri night we had the mexi fiesta and that's my fav part! the best chips ever and yummy shredded burritos! seriously delish!

carly and tori
uncle craig (one of the best hosts) so sad i didn't get a pic of dawna :(

the kids eating their yummy food under the cutest kid tent ever! jess way good job on the decor and fun for the kids!

a bunch of us played games and realized how many of us had on yellow and gray! thanks everyone for being fun and kickin it at our house! we loved having you all!

last day of soccer

on sat, nov. 21st, carter had his last game of the fall soccer season. and since i didn't take one pic the whole time i took enough for a lifetime at the last game! the season started out w/ carter not really interested, but over the weeks he became more aggressive and trying to get the ball from "the bad guys". and it actually became fun to watch and see him play! we might even do the winter soccer season. we'll see.
carter is #3, here he is in action

the tunnel at the end of the game (their fav part)

carter and sierra the only girl on the team! such a cutie!
