Just Jack

First off, the little dudes name is just Jack. We didn't name him John to call him Jack. I mean seriously, what kind of a nickname is Jack for someone named John??? At least Dick is shorter than Richard or Jim shorter than James or Harry sounds like Henry... (RIP JFK although I'm certain you weren't the first to participate in this poppycock, just the most famous in recent history perhaps).

That said, here are some pics, and some of what our little 3 week old buddy has been up to lately.

Fella seems to go cross-eyed quite regularly. Perhaps this is normal, either way we find it amusing. It really is amazing how we can be so amused by something that likely he has no idea he is even doing.

Jack is a big fan of bath time.

So I have have memories of always needing to be careful with supporting babies necks and heads and whatnot... Well this kid doesn't seem to care for that much. And although I don't hold him like this ALL the time, Jack will frequently fight to lean back. With this type of back bend perhaps he'll make for a good gymnast one day. Not a cheerleader though since we all know that isn't even a sport as evidenced here.

Our little 'bug' as Kaylyn calls him is also quite fond of "Tummy Time". Hopefully he'll also be fond of Tool Time as he gets older.

Yum, Love me a little spit up!

Kaylyn and her Co-Worker Missy both had a baby within a few weeks of each other so they figured they best meet up at the office and give the newbies their first look into the world of politics. Congressman Simpson was very excited to have a couple more Americans to help pay down the massive debt we are gladly incurring for the country here in Washington DC.

Baby Switch - Yikes, this one isn't mine...

Nate is a natural at holding babies, he'll make such a good Father. Turns out there was something to his comment "I'm not just a piece of meat" when voted as one of the 50 most beautiful people on Capitol Hill back in 2009. (His writeup is near the end of the article under Nathan Greene if you have chosen to check that link.)

Jack even got to ride Isha.

And after he was a nightmare one night leading us to ask what happened to our baby, we just decided to feed him to Isha.

And a handful of additional random pics just because the family wants it...

 Jack rocks the Butt Part.

Thanks for coming to visit Grandma.

And just in case you aren't bored yet, here is a little video of Jack waking up.
