The Bischoff Spot

Carson the cookie monster! He is such a cutie...some lady at Costco said he was such a pretty baby and asked if people said that with him being a boy. I said, "No, he looks just like his dad and I wouldn't say he is pretty."


They love to be pulled around in the laundry basket...great exercise for me...and Carson is shirtless because we just had lunch and he always needs new clothes after a meal.

So if you haven't been updated on the Bischoff's latest and greatest...we have moved to Bakersfield (not Baker, not Barstow...and not the armpit of CA - Fresno...which is what everyone thinks when I say Bakersfield). We are right off the 99...and the 5. Two hours from LA. There are some serious pros and cons...but so far, more pros.

Pros:
*Great mini-mall shopping...like the best Target, Vons, Ross, World Market etc...it may sound silly, but I LOVE it...I mean LOVE it. I shop these places daily, and I love new and big and beautiful...and these stores are it. I really think that big cities have great clothes shopping, but to get the real good Target's and grocery stores, you need to go to a smaller city...don't you think?
*Crazy-8 in the mall (that is about it though for the mall).
*Fabulous gym...great for the kids (fabulous care facility) and for the adults, it has everything (indoor and an outdoor pool, loads of workout areas and tons of classes) and is huge and new.
*Big roads...with a fast speed and good drivers.
*New, beautiful and affordable housing.

Cons:
*It smells like poop most of the time (in fact, we were outside playing and I kept checking the kids pants...and then remembered, it was just the air).
*Not many friends (that should change, I hope).
*More WT than I have ever seen in my life.

We are so happy to be here as a family...Eric commuted for awhile which was the pits! so that is the ultimate Pro. For right now, this is working out for us:) Here are a few pictures fromt he last few months. I don't know where any of the cords are to download the new photos etc...

Here are some cute photos from this summer. My favorite is of Sydney reorganizing the pantry and eating the peanut butter with a giant spoon. I am sure she learned it from Eric.

We have had lots of fun playing at the beach this summer. Carson really surprised us as he literally charges the waves as they come in. Eric will usually take Sydney out in the water (holding her) and jump some of the larger waves. A few have gotten them quite well, but Sydney just holds on tight and keeps going. I keep waiting for the lifeguard to call them in...asking what kind of parents would allow that?

So I sort of skipped a few months of very important Bischoff details, life just got crazy. Here are a few pictures of Eric's graduation...which really was awesome to witness. I know it is cheesy to say, but I really am so proud of him. Thanks to everyone who helped us along the way.

Courtney just got married...it was beautiful and busy! Courtney looked gorgeous...and Sydney and Ethan were dancing maniacs. The food was great and the kids did awesome. Congratulations Courtney and RJ!

Sydney loves to hug Carson...and Carson loves this until she puts him in one of Eric's ju jit su holds. He is growing so fast though, I think the tables will turn soon.





We are loving the CA sun...and being outside everyday...and In-n-Out...I had forgotten how absolutely convenient and delicious that is! Watertown, however does have the best parks ever...we miss you.

we took a very fun trip to DC and Phili to visit family. the kids were absolutely fabulous considering the long drive...the worst part was that burger king and nathan's hot dogs seem to be the only restaurants along the New Jersey Turnpike...gross!!! here are some photos from our trip.

I am not pregnant...don't even think that please, but we are moving to CA:) Eric got a job in Pasadena. Assuming all goes well, we will not be changing this venue...and plan to head west toward the end of May. I am so excited about being closer to family and all of the fun things out west, but will miss my friends here...can't think about it.

Sydney is taking a dance class now with her friend Kendall. They are so cute. She does have more energy though than any of the other kidlets in the class.Sydney cannot get enough of playing with her friends. She and Daxton always fight over this car, but they figured out (or at least she thinks so) how to make it work.

We just got a new camera and so I wanted to show off our cute kids. Carson is such a happy, easy going kid during the day (but a terrible sleeper...I am sure I have aged 5 years because of him)...anyway, he has discovered his tongue and I had to show how he looks frequently.

I was going through my pictures and saw this cute video of Christmas. Sydney had so much fun with her older cousins. I thought it was so funny that her 5 year cousin Kylee could play "airplane" with Sydney.
