Four Weeks & Still Snoozin'

Aydan is 4 weeks old! He still sleeps most of the time and is such a GOOD baby. He is weighing in at 9 lbs, 13 oz and is 22 inches long---he is in the 45th percentile for his weight and in the 50th percentile for his length. Our pediatrician, who I love, says that he is perfectly proportioned. He is perfect to me regardless! He makes the funniest noises--I think he sounds like a neighing horse and David thinks he sounds like a billy goat. He is so entertaining! This semester is finally over for me but another will begin in January. Is there really a light at the end of the tunnel? I am hoping for a few online courses this semester so that I am not away from home more than a night or two a week. We are still trying to get into our little groove. David is doing well. He is working out of town a lot, which is a bummer, but I think it makes us appreciate each other more. We would love to hear from you and hope you all have a Merry, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year's. Lots of Love!

Announcing Baby Bishop

Aydan Ross Bishop is here! Short and simple--I ended up getting a c-section after 37 hours into our hospital stay. My blood pressure was going up and Aydan's heart rate was dropping. It was quick, from what I was told, and I am recovering nicely. He was born at 1:46 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. He weighed 8lbs 2.5 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT in every way! There is no way to explain the feelings that fill you when you become a mom. I knew I'd love it--I knew I was ready--but I had no idea just how good it would feel. I am soooooo in love with him! He looks just like his Daddy but has his Momma's LONG toes! We are so excited and so happy! We love you all!

Ready or not.........here he comes!

Well, here comes our little man! My Doctor decided to induce tonight. We go into the hospital at 12:00 am so we will hopefully be welcoming him into the world sometime tomorrow! This picture is of my ready-to-pop belly today. I can't believe it is already here----it went by so fast! I will be sure to post pictures as soon as possible. Janeille is flying into to town on Wednesday and will be here with us until the following Monday---thank goodness! What a life (and sanity!) saver :) We love you all!!

All.......most............there.......!!!

Hello again, all! Well, we are 37 weeks and 2 days along. This picture is at 35 weeks and I have been told that I have GROWN in the past two weeks! I can feel it :) I am still feeling fabulous, minus the nasty heartburn in the middle of the night! At my appointment last week I found out that I am 1 cm dilated, and as of today I am still just 1 cm. My blood pressure is still high :( My doctor wants to induce labor next week if it has not gone down by Monday. I am not counting on it going down seeing as it hasn't changed much in 5 weeks! My doctor says it is 'borderline'. Inducing my labor is giving me a better chance at natural birth vs my blood pressure going up so high that I have to have a c-section. Works for me, I guess! At our last ultrasound, Mr. Aydan weighed in at 6 lbs 9 oz, which was a pound larger than 3 weeks prior to that. Whew! I will surely update you all Monday to let you know if we will definitely be induced or not. Oh, and I PROMISE to post nursery pictures soon! I dropped his curtains off to be made last week and haven't picked them up yet. That is all that is left! Lots of love to everyone!

Ultrasound Surprise at 33 Weeks

We had our third Ultrasound today! None of the pictures came out really well so I am not posting any. Our Mr. Man is already 5 lbs and 9 oz!!! He measures in at 35 weeks and 6 days which would put us due November 2nd---BUT, our doctor said to stick with our original November 18th date. He is going to be a monster!! I DO NOT want to have a C-Section so say a little prayer for me! He is head down and is moving all the time. Still loving it :) David and I are now in high gear to get everything in order. I am in the process of DEEP cleaning and re-organizing things to incorporate baby stuff---and some things just need to be re-organized! I am still working on getting the nursery in order. Hopefully I'll be done in the next week! We love you all!!!

Excitment at 30 1/2 weeks!

Here we are---a few days shy of 31 weeks! Only 9 weeks to go :) This past week I invested in the belly belt and Velcro shoes....my size MEDIUMs are feeling a bit SMALL---but the LARGEs are to big. What is a girl to do? My favorite 'outfit' is a pair of David's over sized PJ pants and a wife beater tank top. I LOVE it and I plan on doing it again and again and again!! Pregnancy is GREAT and life is SUPER! We are ready to hold our little man but I love being pregnant! Janeille helped me put it into words this past weekend---pregnancy is bitter sweet. Speaking of---we ended up in labor and delivery last Sunday. At around 12:30 pm I started having pre-contraction, contractions. I didn't know what was going on so finally around 7:00 pm David and I made a trip to the hospital. They hooked me up to an IV for a few hours but that didn't stop them. Around 10:00 pm they gave me a muscle relaxer which stopped them within 5 minutes. They aren't sure why they came on but everything is fine and I am feeling awesome! They called it "irritable uterus". We should have our nursery together in the next two weeks so expect a blog update then! How exciting!! David is doing well as he is busting at the seams.....he is WAY excited! He is so wonderful, sweet, and supportive. I couldn't have made a more almost-perfect-husband. I am so lucky to have him (and so is Aydan!). We love you all and would love to hear from you!!

Family Update

Hello, all!
I have some very smart friends and family members with blog spots to keep everyone up-to-date on their growing families. I stole their idea :)
Well, we are now 25 weeks along and growing more excited day by day. This picture is at 14 weeks--we have more recent one's just not scanned in yet! Our due date has been moved forward twice now but our doctor wants to stick with November 18th for now. We'll see! I think he's gonna be BIG! I can feel him moving almost all the time now. It is really amazing! He is going to be on the move, all the time, just like his Daddy! The name Aydan actually means "little fiery one". Quite funny to me!
David and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary this coming Sunday, August 5th. Seems like 10 years ago! We aren't doing much to celebrate this year. We were hoping for vacation but big baby purchases are higher on the list! Gives me an excuse to spend a little money :)
