master bath in progress

Here are the aforementioned pictures of what the house.  Ryan has been lining the bathtub and wall with cedar and it looks so pretty.  I can't wait to see it finished.  The pictures are not great, but hopefully you can get the idea.  Floor tile is on order and the shower will eventually be glassed in.

Sally.

A little bit about this girl in our house.  She laughs out loud when Papa tickles.  Almost always there is a stuffed animal or baby carefully dressed under her arm.  Pink blankie now stays in her bed, a major step she has taken towards growing up.  She loves ballet class and takes it so seriously, I think the teacher wishes all the little girls listened like Salome.  At preschool she carefully writes her letters and even knows most of the lowercase ones.  Numbers are of much less interest so far.  Around the house she is often making up her own dance moves.  Carefully picking out hair barrettes to match her outfit and nail polish for her toes, she reminds us she is very much a girl.  Taking a fall does not make her cry, she is tougher than most.  Her shyness is starting to disappear as she asks for more playdates and answers adults who ask her questions.  We are so thankful for the joy and pure Salome she brings to our house.

inside and outside

Some days are cold and snowy, others are warm and blowy.  On the sunshine days, we have spent time at parks, and riding bikes.  Colorado weather is so gracious in giving us days that feel like spring and almost summer.  We love to break out the short sleeves and flip-flops.  I actually even got a slight sunburn one of those days.
On the days too cold to be outside, often we are making something.  Ephraim has spent hours building with his legos and contraption blocks.  Salome loves painting, beading, decorating, coloring, and pretty much anything else crafty she can get me to let her do.  Her little fingers are really good at doing details and her attention span for it amazes me.  Give the girl a project and she is set for a while.  Ryan has been busy building the bathroom and even a radiator cover for the master bedroom.  Floor tile and sinks are ordered so it is starting to feel more and more like a real bathroom could exist soon.  I have officially painted the living room accent wall three times now, three different colors and am finally content.  Why is it so hard to pick a shade of light blue??  I will post pictures of the changes in the next post....
