A few favorite

I was going through my load of pictures tonight... and saw these... thought they were worthy to share.  Maybe it is because of my memories of them... more than the actual picture.

Everywhere I go I find this:
Battle scenes.  One side is the USA the other Side ... the Japanese.
All I can say is that the boy listens to most war stories... lately all about WWII.

June and Reagan... they love each other... can you tell?
Very Very much
{this is before my cute reagan cut her hair.  so sad for me... so sad for her}

Hudson's Back to school night picture... can you spot his?
It is the detailed soccer game going on.  That kid will draw and draw for hours...

Aarean came and visited.  One of the nights we skipped on over to Berkeley to see Rach.  To see where she is living now... and to visit her favorite ice cream places... which is one of mine as well.  Those are home made waffle cones with fudge in the bottom... with really unusual flavors.  Like Rose Petal Vanilla, Chicory Coffee.  Good stuff

One weekend we needed to get out of dodge.  Really really bad.  We went to Santa Cruz... it was a BEAUTIFUL day.  Fun to just sit and sit on sand.  I miss that about So Cal.  A Lot!

June and Reagan again... princess at heart

oh Oh oh Oh mymymymymymymy.... I LOVE him.  Grey is my heart... and my joy at the moment.  He is all all all love.

Love the kids looking in, they are as obsessed as I am... and then Grey driving.
He thought he was so funny.

After driving around we stopped at a drive thru dairy... with soft serve ice cream.  It was so good.

A's Maternity Shots

Allison is having her first.
It is Boy
I think she may be glowing...

{Top left I caught in mid action, but she looked so calm... I loved it.
The one below makes me smile... doesn't she have an infectious smile?!}

He is a lucky lucky little man.

Go and See

Rachael {my sister} was just featured on RocknRoll Bride  this past week for Lenore's wedding!!!
I am so happy that she is being recognized for her talent, and Lenore for her perfect day.

So go on over and take a peek.
Go take a peek at her photography site too.

And then to add to that excitement, Aarean just started a new blog.  It is called Color Issue and is Freaking fantastic.  If you go and check her new little corner - enter her giveaway... I did.  Although, I have a feeling she won't let me win even if I did... I mean giving the "prize" to your sister... probably sounds fishy.  Oh well, it is worth a try right?

When you go on over to COLOR ISSUE make yourself a follower, you will be oh so happy when you do!

What a PROUD sister I am.
So proud!
So proud!

Front Yard Makover

Before
One project I have had on my plate for a long time was our front yard.  I had made changes to it over the last year but about a month ago I woke up one morning and went to work pulling out the existing "stuff".

What took the longest to figure out was the actual design.  I got a ton of ideas from looking at different landscaping sites and bouncing ideas off of Whitney.  We both finally agreed on a design.  The last and final thing we wanted was a porch swing.  It's what we always dreamed of having and we now finally have one.

After

I left an area for planting "annuals"
I hate having to constantly plant flowers in a lot of different places.  I decided to make two small areas in the center of the yard.  This way I could still change the colors during the planting season and keep the wow factor flowers have on a yard but not have a lot of planting to do each season.

I used Green Beauty Boxwoods for the hedge.  They stay green during extreme heat and cold.

Here she is (still have to paint the 4 x 4)

There is nothing better than sitting on this swing in the evening.

Now onto the next project...the family room
Disgusting, please don't judge

a desicion

When I started blogging I loved the fact that I could find people and read their blogs.  Some call it blog stalking, I call it blog roaming... doesn't sound as creepy.  :)

Unfortunately, Spencer and I have decided to go private.  We will now be one of those blogs, that would drive me nuts when I would come upon it and wouldn't be able to read it.  But I totally understand now.  I get it.

So.... if you are a friend, family or fellow blog roamer feel free to leave a message with your email, if you like, or email me at whitneybrinton@gmail.com.  Just let me know who you are and I will put you on through.  :)

I will leave the blog open for a month and then will be locking it up.

I know I said I was going to do this a couple years ago and
didn't follow through, but I am going to follow through this time.
For real.

Rach took some pictures for Reagan and me a few weeks ago.  I love them.
