Our friends Sarah and Jason invited us to Lay Lake for a day full of fun and laughs. We stayed on the lake all day. We all got to go tubing and Jason even took Erin and Emily for their first wake board ride. After hours of playing we headed back to their house for dinner. It was such a fun-filled day for all of us. Thank you Sarah and Jason!
Today we headed down to the Warrior River to spend the day with my best friend, Tonya, and her family. We had such a wonderful time. Of course Tonya and I have known each other since we were three and we are so much more like sisters than friends. Erin loved swimming in the river, but most of all she loved playing in the mud. Yuck! Emily didn't care too much for the mud so she just stuck to swimming in the kiddie pool. I am so thankful for my bestie!
Well softball ended on Saturday so Sunday I was sitting around wondering "now what"? We spent nearly everyday at the ballpark so I ended up finding us a place to stay and we headed to Panama City with the Wilkins clan on Monday and we just came home today. We had such a fun time and all of the kids really enjoyed spending time together. We spent every day on the beach and then would head to the pool after a late lunch. Erin loved riding the ocean waves with her friends and Emily and her friends played in the sand all day every day. Kelli and I were actually able to relax since the kids played so well together. It was such a fun trip! Of course, it's always good to be home and we missed daddy too!
Erin's team finished 5th in the state tournament today. She had so much fun playing and is sad that it's over. I think we are all a little sad that it's over. She is already looking forward to next season. Erin, you should be so proud of yourself. Your dad and I could not be more proud of you. We love you "E"!!!
I forgot to mention that we have a new member of the family in The Cagle Household. Meet Midnight. She is a lab/boxer mix. She is so sweet and the girls love her, but we have got to get a fence soon!!!
The girls survived the heat this weekend at the area tournament in Clanton. They walked away with another 2nd place trophy to Chelsea, but they are headed to the state tournament. The state tournament starts tomorrow and ends on Saturday and will be held at Liberty Park in Vestavia. Good luck Helena Dominators!
