David went to the interview at A.T.Still. He was the oldest there by at least 5 years, the only one with kids and the only one from Arizona. Will those help his chances? Who knows. He interviewed with a total of 18 people. They have interviews once a month and they told David they have received well over 3,200 applications this year.
The Dean started off saying that this years class is full. So they are interviewing for next year or for the "pending list". The pending list is a list they compile of all the applicants that really fit the school's criteria, so they are shuffled into the seats as they are turned down by others. So far this year 13 seats have been turned down and they have been filled with this list. The morning of David's interview 3 more seats were turned down by other applicants, and those will be filled by the pending list or by a better suited candidate in that interview group.
so within the next three weeks we can receive 4 possible options.
option 1: We will receive a letter by mail saying they don't feel like David would be a good candidate for the school. (the rejection letter)
option 2: We will receive a letter by mail inviting David to join the class of 2010 (so the following year)
option 3: We will receive a letter saying David is on the pending list
option 4: We will get a phone call inviting David into one of the open seats, because he is exactly what they are looking for.
The board meets once a week. So anything is possible at this point!
Keep the prayers coming!
