Ahhhhhh... Waiting!

I hate waiting, I am really no good at it. My nerves go crazy until I just can't think or sleep, but waiting is what we have to do... Don't these people know I have a heart condition.. :-)

While we are waiting to hear from A.T.Still we got another letter from Touro University in Vallejo, CA (near San Francisco) that they are requesting an interview, so that is good? We just really want ATSU to work out. Besides not having to pay almost 500 in airline flights would be nice!

waiting......and waiting....and waiting

David went to the interview at A.T.Still. He was the oldest there by at least 5 years, the only one with kids and the only one from Arizona. Will those help his chances? Who knows. He interviewed with a total of 18 people. They have interviews once a month and they told David they have received well over 3,200 applications this year.

The Dean started off saying that this years class is full. So they are interviewing for next year or for the "pending list". The pending list is a list they compile of all the applicants that really fit the school's criteria, so they are shuffled into the seats as they are turned down by others. So far this year 13 seats have been turned down and they have been filled with this list. The morning of David's interview 3 more seats were turned down by other applicants, and those will be filled by the pending list or by a better suited candidate in that interview group.

so within the next three weeks we can receive 4 possible options.

option 1: We will receive a letter by mail saying they don't feel like David would be a good candidate for the school. (the rejection letter)

option 2: We will receive a letter by mail inviting David to join the class of 2010 (so the following year)

option 3: We will receive a letter saying David is on the pending list

option 4: We will get a phone call inviting David into one of the open seats, because he is exactly what they are looking for.

The board meets once a week. So anything is possible at this point!

Keep the prayers coming!

Nerves

I am a ball of nerves lately mainly due to the fact that David leaves tomorrow for the interview at A.T.Still Medical School. We are praying that this works out. It is really the only option we feel good about.

Thanks to all of those who have shown their support on my new adventure (The Rustic Raspberry) it's exciting that people are interested in things I make. I sold 4 "party dresses" and 12 burp cloths to a store here in town. Yeah!

For a quick update on everything else..... Kids are good, Maddy is getting over an ear infection and Riley and Keagan are full of life and occasionally getting along. :o

The newest skirt in Maddy's closet! Keagan's will be done today too...hopefully.

I love this skirt! I think I love it so much because of the fabric, if you look close on the blue squares there are little high-heeled shoes. So fun!

The hem line and top were made of scraps, I couldn't stand to throw one scrap away, so I used ALL the scraps, including the ribbon that tied the bundle. I bought the fabric from "the fat quarter shop" so I sewed that ribbon into the hem.

update

Here is a quick update. David received an invitation for an interview with A.T. Still (the medical school in Mesa, AZ) we are super excited and hope for the best. The interview is on the 24th of this month. Yippee!

I had my ECHO this morning and we are waiting on the results, and hopefully we won't have to wait to long, the ECHO tech says they review the films at night, so maybe tonight?

Lets hope both of these end up with good news, were praying and keeping our fingers crossed.

The "other " outfit

Here is the outfit I made for Brooke, my niece. So CUTE!

This is Brooke in it. Darling!

I love the pear on the bum.

Barb's sweat shop

My sister-in-law Kim (Matt's wife) spent the day with me yesterday and we did nothing but sew all day. It was really fun, exhausting, but fun. I managed to finish a few projects. The onesie dress I made that was SO CUTE I gave to Kim for baby Brooke, so I don't have a picture of that one, but here are the others:

I LOVE this onesie! It's so whimsical

Here is the back, so cute!

Don't mind the grumpy look on Maddy's face, she loves it!

More matching outfits for the girls.

darling

Here are my two little darlings!

You can tell that baby Maddy knows her big sister!

She has that mischievous look, I can just picture her saying, "If I could walk or crawl I would be OUT OF HERE!"
