Monterey, CA trip (little bro's wedding)

My little (big) brother got married this past weekend in Monterey, CA. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding, and I must say Megan (His bride) looked AMAZING! We were glad we could be there to support these two. We also had some time to spend enjoying the sites. We went to the tide pools, and walked around in down town Pacific Grove, the most beautiful place on earth. David and I are already making big plans to go back (without kids, wink. wink.)

After sorting through the pictures on my camera I realized I didn't take 1/2 the amount of pictures I thought I had. My brother Matt has an amazing camera (he took our family picture on our header) so hopefully he will send me some of those pictures.

The Wedding

My little nephew and niece were dancing together.... cute!

Here are the girls getting ready. So cute!

The Tide Pools.

Every morning at around 8am, the tide goes out leaving all these little pools of treasures. We found enenemies, star fish, hermet crabs, fish and all sorts of other things. Riley was completely freaked out (typical) and Keagan loved watching everyone else have a good time.

Our Hotel

We stayed at the cutest little Inn. Our room was the "Jewel" room. They served the best breakfast too!

Be of good cheer

Ya, I had a humbling experience yesterday. Friends of mine came over to cheer me up and one of them brought a talk by President Monson titled, "Be of good cheer" I haven't read the whole thing yet, but the first line was what opened my eyes. It reads, " Be of good cheer. The future is as bright as your faith."

We'll I have been lacking the faith that things will be as they should, so I better get some quick otherwise my future is in jeopardy! So.... starting today I am going to be of good cheer. I can already hear my heart beating to a happier beat.

Check out this video, (click on "this") it will bring you cheer!

defeated.

I feel absolutely defeated, I can't even put to words my despair and hopelessness. I was hoping with every ounce in me that David would be able to go to a medical school this year, but no luck, (so far). A.T. Still started on Monday,so that one is OUT, and Touro University starts on the 3rd, and as of now NO ONE has dropped their seat. Bummer.

So now what? Find jobs. Find a way. Find a prayer that will be answered that both of these things will happen, soon. I just really want to curl up into a ball and die. You might think it's dramatic, but think..... when is the last time you wanted something so bad you would do anything for it, then think of that opportunity passing you by without a second glance. That is where I am right now.

{I know we will be going to medical school the next year, I just more than anything wanted this to happen for David. He has worked SO HARD for it, completing 4 years of college in 2.5 so that he wouldn't have to take a year off. I love him so much and I hope he knows that no matter what, he is AMAZING to me and our little family. Love you beez!}

The packing has begun....

Yes, we are packing! No, we have NO IDEA where we are headed, No we have no idea WHEN we are headed to where we have no idea. Basically we are all a little confused about the future. But to be positive about this Pit hole of a situation, we have a back-up plan! sort of.

This is a picture of the now-empty basement, and a picture of the garage, the place where all the stuff is now kept. Hopefully this week we will know our next move.

Look forward to the next blog entry which will be titled: Barb going INSANE!!! Tons of fun!

whoopee {wup-e} hair do

Keagan is such a good sport lately in letting me do her hair. We call this do the "whoopee, whoopee hair do" The hair bows on top I will be selling in my shop when I re-open. They will be called the "whoopee" bows. More tradionally known as "Corker" bows.

I love these bows, and I love the little girl that lets me do her hair in crazy styles!

Keagan ~ You are such a darling little girl, you make my life better, You are the BEST big sister, and I love you!!

PPCM vs. PACM

I have PPCM, no surprise. I mention it often and the snowball effects of it in my life, but today I heard a new term, PACM. Before I tell you the meaning of "PACM" let me give you some background:

My husband and I are on waiting lists for medical schools, stressful you might ask....ABSOLUTELY! As the days go on and time for the schools to start get closer we get a little more "grouchy" everyday. So yesterday was a pretty tense day, we are starting to loose it, in a BIG way. David says to me, you have PPCM and I am SURE I have PACM! "What" I ask? "PACM" he says. Ok. I tried to figure out what those letter would stand for, Pre-academic cookie monster? nope. Post Application Cardiomyopathy! Ha! I still laugh picturing his face when he said it to me.

Such a cute man to be funny in the MOST stressful time of our lives!

Too young?

When are you too young to be "texting"?

When I pulled away the phone, this is what I saw,

"Hey girl, want to hit the mall later? I am loving the new gap onesies"
Silly girl!

Happy 4th (a little late)

We spent our 4th just the same as many of you. Making homemade ice cream and watching fireworks. I made the girls matching dresses, but forgot to get a "good" picture of them. whoops!
