All in May

These next few posts are things that happened in the first week of May. David had to pull out our computer to do stuff for his Dental applications so I got lucky and had access to these photos. I will post more recent stuff soon!

Going away party

Our family and another family (The Hanses) were both moving out of the ward, so we all got together for one big good-bye. It was fun chatting and visiting with all those people in Flag that we have grown to love so much. I know we will be back there one day, soon. Thanks Christi for the party, and the job, and for everything else!

Mother's Day

This Mother's day was hard for me. I am sure my emotions were running on the high side because of all the change that were happening at the time. Riley's birthday also happened to be on Mother's day, and to be honest, I couldn't of loved that more. I remember being able to bring him home from the Hospital on Mother's day. I am truly blessed to have the three most amazing kids. (I know, a little bias) Keagan is so loving and caring, she will give up anything to make someone happy, she's a little pleaser. Riley is my right hand man, literally, he never leaves my side (ask anyone) he is everything Boy but with the most tender heart. Maddy is already showing her darling little personality, she loves anything chocolate, doesn't let the kids push her around and will always back up to you for a snuggle. These three have improved my life so much. And with David by my side I would venture out to say I am the luckiest women in the world.
Riley's Birthday

In the middle of moving, unpacking and all that other good stuff Riley had a birthday. He turned 4 this year, what a big boy! All he wanted for this birthday was dinosaurs. He got several different dinosaur toys and the best part of all (to him) was the dinosaur cake! Happy Birthday little man.

Packing up

Riley decided to hide in the empty kitchen cupboards (he must have been in there awhile because the house was quiet most of the morning :)

Last days of School

It was no secret that Keagan was super sad about leaving school a month early, she still talks about missing out on being Cinderella in the school play, but despite all of that, she misses her friends and teacher the most. Keagan loved Knoles, so did I. What a wonderful community of active, involved parents. I hope one day to be back on the East side of Flag so Riley and Maddy can also go there.

Keagan was so excited to see this note on the board

Her hand print from the beginning of the year

Miss Belinda (the very BEST secretary you could have in an elementary school

Mrs Drayton, Keagan's Teacher. We will miss her for sure!

Here is Riley at his last day of Preschool. A few of us mom's got together and did a co-op preschool. It was a lot of fun for Riley, and lets be honest, fun for me to have time away from that little guy! His little class had 3 girls and 4 boys, and they were all really awesome kids. He still talks about all his "friends".

Loved this book:

I have been thinking this for so long, and she says it so perfectly:

"There is so much about my fate that I cannot control, but other things do fall under my jurisdiction. There are certain lottery tickets I can buy, thereby increasing my odds of finding contentment. I can decide how I spend my time, whom I interact with, whom I share my body and life and money and energy with. I can select what I eat and read and study. I can choose how I'm going to regard unfortunate circumstances in my life- whether I will see them as curses or opportunities (and on occasions when I can't rise to the most optimistic viewpoint, because I am feeling too damn sorry for myself, I can choose to keep trying to change my outlook). I can choose my words and the tone of voice in which I speak to others. And most of all, I can choose my thoughts."
