Heavy Laden

Lately I have been feeling like I am a pack mule caring my worries and frustrations around in 45 pound packs, two to a side, climbing up hill...in the rain and in snowy weather, heck... I think it might be hailing too. I just am overwhelmed. At first it started just as frustration, then it moved to anger and now I am just honestly beside myself.

While laying in bed I realized a few things and came to grips with others. I am working this out in my own little head and after a scripture came to mind at 3 am this morning I was finally able to sleep.

The scripture is (drum roll please) Matthew 11:28. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest"

That's all I need. I know my Heavenly Father loves me, and I know he is proud of the choices I have made and the high road that I have always taken. So last night I turned all my sadness and frustration to him, and in return he gave me rest.

Have a great day! I am already...

Zee house

Well, here they are. Pictures of the inside of our home. Some rooms are still not finished (the master) and some rooms still have boxes, but you get the jist of it. I didn't take pictures of the kids rooms for privacy reasons, but they are super cute! (just ask me :)

You may be asking yourself why we have the TV in front of the windows, and I will tell you. When you are watching 50 inches of pure bliss it's sometimes hard to see with light and reflections coming in from the outdoors, plus, the backyard is all rock, nothing really to see anyways.
The Great room

Kitchen, meet our fridge. We have a love/hate relationship. It freezes EVERYTHING in the fridge and NOTHING in the freezer... that's what we get from buying it from some random guy. Lovely!
Dinning room
Laundry Room (those little pants hanging on the wall are the ones the kids wore when they were tiny...)
Our master, which is in desperate need of wall hangings
The Master Bath... this is what sold me on the house, his and her sinks...SIGN ME UP!

Before we moved and when life was a little less hectic I took a picture of the kids every Sunday, well, I took one y esterday! The kids were so cute in their matching greens (Riley was in Blue) so here they are. Enjoy!

Prayers

Today my Father in-law, Scott goes in to have his right knee replaced. We are praying for him this morning and if any of you would like to that would be great.

Many of you already know, and many of you don't but for this reason we are staying in Kingman. We will be here until next June. David felt it would be a great help to his Dad to help out with the company while he was recovering. I know Scott is grateful to have us, and the time that He and David can spend together before we are nose deep in a dental school (hopefully) will be worth more than anything else we could go and do.

Side Note: The surgery went REALLY WELL! He is up and walking on his knee today, YAY!!!

Top Ten

Thought I would mix it up a bit today and do a 'Top Ten things I wish I had from my storage unit' Here it goes:

10. My computer desk. Nothing really special about our computer desk, it just kept a certain little girl from destroying the computer.

9. Our bed. I can just hear my double-pillow top Heaven on earth mattress calling my name over and over. I know our reunion will be so sweet and I am counting down the nights until I can enjoy it again.

8. Kitchen Gadgets. I love to cook (duh) and I have the funnest kitchen gadgets, like: my micro plane (the best grater on earth), my Cuisinart (the blending, mixing machine) Silplat mats (the ultimate tool in making the perfect cookies). I miss them. I am sure they are making friends with the other kitchen tools in their boxes:)

7. Our family calenders. I have monthly calenders that are so dang cute and in every house we have lived in we hang up three months at a time, the past month, the current month and the upcoming month. It navigates and makes planning our crazy life so much easier! (David actually misses this item more than me...shocker, I know!)

6. The sewing machine(s). They are like children, so I can't really play favorites but if it's just between you and me, i will tell you I miss my new one more :) I miss sewing all my little creations, look HERE to see some of the ones in the past.

5. The kids dressers. To save space we left their dressers behind and have been hanging up their clothes, needless to say Riley can't stop pulling ALL of his shirts off the hangers. ARGH!

4. All important documents. I can't believe I actually packed this next one. I tried enrolling Keagan in school and without a birth certificate and vacination records it's impossible. This will be the first thing I am going to find and unpack.

3. The running stroller. I am enjoying these Arizona nights and I think I could enjoy taking the kids on a walk, but without the sroller that can hold them it seems like more work than enjoyment.

2. MY SHOES!!! I only brought 6 pairs, one for every basic occasion. church, work, casual, running and flip flops. I wish I had all the other ones that I enjoy wearing!

and last but not least:

1. MY CLOTHES! David and I joke around calling our wardrobe 'S7O' (Same 7 outfits) we did this to save room, so we brought about 7 outfits each. The good thing about not having the clothes I guess is that I will feel like I have a whole new wardrobe.

So there you have it, a glimpse into my 'misses'. We are currently looking for a home but having a hard time finding something decent in our price range. wish us luck... i will post pictures of what we have narrowed it down to.

Have a great day!

Toof-less

(Keagan is talking to Grandma on the phone)

Keagan has recently lost both of her two front teeth, well, actually Dad had a little help in the matter! Keagans first front tooth was knocked out by hitting the back of Maddy’s head and the second was pulled out after about an hour of coaxing! Keagan has been so brave when it comes to Daddy pulling out her little teeth, I think she looks darling with her gummy smile!

Keagan wrote a note to the tooth fairy bargaining for more money because she was brave . So cute!

The little note is what the tooth fairy wrote back, did you have any idea that the tooth fairy could write that tiny? Me either!

Happy 4th!

This 4th of July we were celebrating more than just our freedom and independence…we were celebrating the fact that David has finished studying and taking the DAT (Dental admissions test). We celebrated both occasions by eating some of our favorite finger foods, (David- buffalo wings, Me- spinach artichoke dip, the kids- taquitos) David also made the traditional yummy homemade Ice cream and last but not least…FIREWORKS!!

We made the kids Sherley Temples with Sprite and Cherrie syrup. They loved them! Riley wanted to get a little more patriotic by adding blue food coloring to his. :)

David making the homemade Ice cream.

Maddy enjoying the ice cream :)

This year the flavor of homemade ice-cream was ‘cookies and cream’. David makes the creamiest ice cream. Here is his recipe:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 pint ½ and ½
2 cups of whipping cream.
2 tsp vanilla extract
Blend together and pour into ice cream maker. Add oreos (we just break them in ½ the ice cream maker crunches them more) then fill with whole milk to the fill line. The rest is history!

After dinner we went out to the back porch and threw “snaps” those little exploding things that you throw on the ground. It was so funny watching Maddy trying to squash them with her little feet. Keagan and Riley also had fun pulling the strings on the confetti bombs. Good fun had by all. At about 8pm we headed over to the church to watch the fireworks. I love the fact that Kingman has always had such great fireworks!
