This past week we went to a going away party for David's sister Cami, her husband Matt and their cute kids, Bryson, Anabelle and William. Matt got promoted within FedEx and they relocated him to Oregon. We are really going to miss the Dean family, in the short time since we have been here we have gotten together a few times and we are really going to miss them.
Dean Family, we love you and think the world of you! Best of luck on this fun adventure, and make room, we are coming to visit this Summer ;) Love you guys!
Last Friday David received his white coat from Midwestern University. They coat the first years opposed to when they graduate as a symbol of professionalism that starts now with their education. It was really a very cool ceremony and I was proud to be there in the crowd cheering David on. His parents were also there, which was amazing. After the ceremony David showed his parents around the school and then we had a great dinner with the kids. What a great memory we will have of this day!
** I have more pictures... I will post them soon**
David spends one day a week at the SIM lab, He loves this day. David loves shaping and sculpting the teeth, and working on his dummy, Dex. Here are some shots of the SIM lab, and David with his buddy, Dex. :)
I think Midwestern is the most MAGICAL school. Their landscape is truly amazing. Every Sunday we take the kids and run around and do scavenger hunts. It gets the kids out of the house and the buildings at the school are air conditioned, plus! Tonight when we were there the lights came on and the reflection pools looked amazing. Add the fact that bunnies, birds and other dessert creatures hoping around just makes it that much cooler. I am so grateful David choose this school, the staff, professors and Dean are all amazing, we are very lucky to have lots of members there as well. Love this school!
We fed the ducks tonight for FHE. I am loving my iphone and my new camera app. You can distress the pictures and add different filters, awesome! Here are some shots with different "effects".
I don't watch day time TV, it's just not my thing, I get that I am not the "normal", whatever. But today I was grateful I had the TV on while doing laundry. I was watching the OWN network (Oprah Winfrey Network) she was talking about the best advice she has ever received from guests on shows. They started talking about the hard task of forgiving. She said this quote, and I was shocked, it instantly summed up exactly what I have been feeling towards different people in my life. Amazing how one phrase can capture so perfectly what you are feeling. I instantly typed it into my phone so I can have it forever. Thank you Oprah.
This little girl was helping me make our family's favorite pizza recipe. She kept saying, "taste, taste" I tried to explain to her that it wasn't cookie dough, but she didn't care. I love this little girl. You can go HERE for the recipe. You won't be disappointed, but on a side note, instead of using goat cheese, we just use Mozzarella.
We had a great week in California while David stayed behind and study/took his Midterms. If you want to see all the fun you can click HERE, HERE or HERE. :)
I am sure you all know that we have a pet tortoise. His name is {Pup}, Maddy named him, his full name is Puppy, and now you know why we call him Pup, we wouldn't want to confuse the poor guy by letting him think he is a dog, right? Anyways... Maddy loves Pup, everyday she sits by him and feeds him. They have a little bond, it's kinda cute to watch.
Sometimes David gets home from classes and just needs to burn off some energy. In this particular instance he took it out on the tree. :) The tree needed it, don't get me wrong, but what I thought was so funny, is 1. the two kids totally excited about it and 2. what David decided to use as a ladder. I can't believe that little house held all three of them. Keagan and I were inside doing homework while all this fun was happening. #lovemyfamily.
