Drum Roll Please......

The poll was up for a few months. 61% of the vote was that we were having a boy.......
The official news came today! I must tell you the story first, don't scroll down to see the answer. :)
First off, have I ever said how AWESOME my doctor is. He went to school with my sis-in-law Jenn in Utah. He is a young fella! Anyhow, we randomly met a few weeks after I moved here to AZ. We figured out our connection and he told me that he was an OB. I ended up going to see him and we have been good pals since. Anyhow, he is Fantastic!! Today I called to ask a nurse about this random rash that I have had. It hurts SO bad. They told me that I needed to be seen so they let me take the last slot of the day with one of the nurses. I saw Dr. Wilson on the way into the room so he took my appointment away from the nurse so we could chat. I went on to tell him how even though I had my ultrasound scheduled for the 3rd of January at his office that we were going to go do one at Fetal Fotos in UT so the grandmas (and me) could know the gender before Christmas. He rolled his eyes and said, "just let me do it really quick". Greg wasn't there so I asked if we could wait 15 min for him to get there. He said yes, Greg sped and we found out the news. No charge to us! :) He really is so nice. If any of you are looking for a great doc... It is Dr. Wilson.
So do you wanna know the news? We are having a............................

BOY!!!

YIPPEE!!!
Greg is STILL beaming ear to ear 5 hours later. He is so excited and obviously I am too!

Christmas Photos!

I FINALLY took Alexa's Christmas photos for this year.
I got a new camera and I haven't fully learned to use it so they aren't professional quality but a few of them turned out really cute I thought! :)

Funny Girl

I had to post a few pictures of Alexa.
Greg set her on the counter and taught her how to use the sprayer on the sink faucet. DUH. She was SOAKED but had the time of her life.
And then I had to take a picture of her hourly ritual. Maybe I don't feed her enough or maybe she is her Grandma Lynn's granddaughter. She takes the bag of potato chips out of the pantry several times a day and usually hides in a corner and snacks on them. I caught her in the act today so I took a few shots.

Happy Birthday To Me!

"Today is my birthday shout "hooray"!"
One year older... yep! And most of you know the LARGE number so I will not repeat it. :)
Greg always takes great care and pampers me on my birthday. Yesterday he took me to dinner and today he wouldn't let me lift a finger.. (although I did have to change a few poopie diapers..hmmm JK). He cleaned the house and made a great dinner. Tomorrow he has a massage scheduled for me! YIPPEE! I don't feel any older but we'll see how next years REALLY big number hits me. I don't think that it will phase me either.

Ward Thayne Perry

Greg's Grand-dad passed away on December 6th. We were able to go to Utah for the funeral. Greg was asked to speak and he did a great job. It was a very sad event but we were lucky to be able to be there and support his family.

Thanksgiving

Cheesy Mom & Alexa ~ Grandma & Alexa walking to the water

Playing by the ducks with Izzy & Rosie's with the family

Playing outside in the back yard

This years thanksgiving was a lot of fun. We decided to stay in AZ and we invited my entire family. My mom came Wednesday and we ended up going to the Chart House restaurant in Scottsdale on Thanksgiving Day. We met Danny, Shantel & Izzy. It was yummy and the girls enjoyed playing out by the water with the ducks.
The rest of the family came on Friday and we celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday. We had 18 people in the house for dinner and most were sleeping here too. It was nuts but so fun. Alexa went a little wacko being out of her own room and routine but she really loved playing with her cousins. Her favorite activity was Ring Around the Rosie's with all of the girls (and Greg).
I am so happy that everyone could come and that the dinner was a success, thanks mom!

Play Date With Devyn

Last week Alexa and I were able to spend some time watching her friend Devyn. It was great.
I took some funny pictures and thought I would share.

So You Think You Can Dance!

A few weekends ago 2 of my sister-in-laws and their 2 girls (my nieces) along with my brother Jim, my dad and my nephew Austin all drove from Salt Lake to come visit. The purpose, the "So You Think You Can Dance" show. It started out as a girls trip but then more and more people wanted to come so they all drove down in the mini van together.
We had a great weekend and the show was FANTASTIC!
We had to drive to the other side of the state (it seemed) to see the show but it was worth it. The dancing was amazing and our seats were pretty good! Jennifer (Sierra's mom) told me that she felt like she was with 3 thirteen year olds, not just 2, with my screaming. I had a blast! After the show we were able to go to the side entrance so the girls could get signatures and pictures with the dancers. We waited an hour and a half but the girls were in Heaven when they finally came out. They had a poster for their 2 favorite boys and one of them kissed Sierra on the head after a little taunting from her favorite aunt, ME! :) It was so funny. She about passed out.
It was indeed a great night and so fun to hang with the girls. I loved it!

Doctors Appointments!

Today was full of doctors appointments. First Greg and then me. Greg's went well and the doctor is taking him off all medications to see if he is healed. Hopefully there will be no recurrence of his crazy heart problems or the other random stuff that was going on.

My appointment was also good. Alexa showed off for all of the doctors (and other visitors). She was SO loud saying hi & bye to everyone, doing animal noises and counting to ten. Yes, she randomly started counting to ten a few days ago. She skips a few numbers here and there sometimes but she gets really excited when she gets to ten. I'll post a video soon.

Anyhow, the doctor started listening for the new baby's heart beat and she said, "it sounds like a baby sister". She was joking but still, I kind of wish she would have said brother. As much as I am hoping for a boy, I will for sure be happy with whatever we are blessed with! :)

She also let me know that the cyst on my ovary is fine and already shrinking. This is great news.
Here is a pix of the little bean. It was from a few weeks ago so there isn't much to see but you know me, I have to have pictures on here! :)

Tagged Again! :)

The Rules: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags six people and posts their names then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Have fun!

1. My favorite vacation destination is Hawaii. This is no secret. But, I don't like to lay out on the beach. It seems like a total waste of time for me. I would much rather be out adventuring than laying around.

2. I hate dogs. This is also no secret. Unless the dog is small, i.e. considered a teacup, miniature or is a brand new puppy I absolutely do not like them. If you want to know why, ask me and I'll tell you. There are way too many reasons to list. And no, it isn't YOUR dog in particular, it is all big dogs.

3. I am a big fat computer nerd. I am obviously a blog addict but I love to create things on the computer. Creating the STARS annual magazine is a huge thrill for me. I can really let my creative computer juices flow. I can spend hours on the computer creating things. I love it.

4. I travel A LOT. I have been on over 50 airplanes in the past 18 months but I am terrified of flying. I have to sing "A Child's Prayer" during take off, landing and any turbulence. I really freak out.

5. Gum. Okay, I think this is one of the most disgusting things ever created. NO ONE chews gum polite enough for my likings. It really makes me vomit to see people chewing gum, especially kids. And if I see a chewed up piece on the edge of your plate so you can eat and chew it later. KILL ME NOW. Here is a waring to you all. Give my children gum... prepare for a swift beating! Easy as that. :)

6. I have a weakness for fresh warm Chocolate Chip Cookies. I can not pass them up. I would rather have Chocolate Chip Cookies than a birthday cake. YUM!

TAG: UHM.. if you are reading this, you are tagged! :)

Alexa's New Job????

Wednesday Bettina and I took the girls shopping to the new mall by our homes. The girls played for a few min in one of the play areas but the best part of the day was getting a lemonade. We went to Hot Dog On A Stick and one of the workers gave Alexa a hat to take home. Alexa loved it and all of the attention she gained. It was hilarious. She kept it on forever and got a lot of comments. It was too funny.

Twilight Party!

First of all, have I ever said how much I love the Twilight series of books? OF COURSE! Well Thursday night I went to a "Twilight" birthday party for Heather Humphrey's (The darling blond by the cake). Arian threw her a great "Twilight" party with fangs, sad little gingerbread men, capes and other memorabilia. Stephanie made a beautiful birthday cake as well.

We took a quiz and as sure as I thought I would lose, I didn't. Out of about 12 of us, Steph took 1st and Heather & I tied for 2nd. Oh yeah, you can call me a big nerd but until you read those books, SHUT IT! :) Then you'll agree with me and the rest of us Edward lovers! You Jacob fans are still a little crazy to me. :)

Anyhow, it was a great night and I am so happy that Heather had a birthday! I really enjoyed my visit to Forks! :)

Viva Las Vegas

Fun in the pool! - Muscle Man Tim!
G & Alexa at the Game and both with Jeff after a game!

Alexa pointing at the Fish.... or is it a FROG? :)

So, I am not a big fan of Vegas but Greg's family was heading down to watch his cousin Jeff play in a Lacrosse tournament. Taking any opportunity to vacation and visit family we gladly went along and met them all there. Luckily, it wasn't a "hang out on the strip" type of trip. We had a great rental house with a pool in Henderson.

Alexa loved the pool and constantly wanted to be outside. More than that, she LOVED seeing her cousins, aunts, uncles and especially her grandparents. It was a great time and a much needed break for us.

Yes, I forgot Alexa's swimming suit so she swam in her "speedo"/swimming diaper! :) What a bad mother.

Halloween Day!

Music Class Friends & Alexa and Izzie at lunch!

Halloween was a fun day! We first went to music class and then headed to Tempe to meet Shantel's family and her parents who came to visit for a week. We had lunch and let the girls play out in the plaza. They were so cute together and had a great time.

We got home pretty late so Alexa passed out candy for about 30 min before bath time. She thought that she was very popular with the doorbell ringing every few min. She loved it.

Fun Filled Weekend!

This weekend was jam packed and a lot of fun. Friday we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then went to check out the new San-Tan Village Mall. The mall is all outdoors and this weekend was the grand opening. It is SO close to our house, I am very excited. There were a lot of cute stores, eating places and play areas for the kids. Alexa of course loved the splash pad.

Saturday we spend most of the day at Schnepf Farms which is just 5 min from our house. We had lunch, Alexa rode the ponies (and LOVED it), she went on a few rides and visited the petting zoo. It was a blast. Alexa didn't want to leave. In the evening it was our ward Halloween Party/Carnival. It was a lot of fun to see all of the kids in the costumes!

Alexa was SO brave riding the pony. She was very excited to get on and could care less if Greg was standing next to her or not. She loved it. So brave! :)

Riding the Pony and Ice Cream/Shaved Ice w/mom.

Scottsdale Railroad Park

Alexa & mom on the train

Yesterday all of the girls met at the Scottsdale Railroad Park for a fun picnic and play date. After lunch we rode the train and carousel. Then, we all sat down for some yummy ice cream.

The best part of the day is when Izzy walked over to Alexa with open arms for a hug and basically body checked Alexa. They both fell over, Izzy on top of Alexa. It was GREAT! Alexa is (to put it nicely) very sensitive and lost it. Izzy just looked a little shocked that they tumbled. It really was so funny.

Over a week with out posting!?!

I have been a little crazy this past week and shockingly, I have gone more than 2 days with out posting. So here is a rundown.
Last Monday we started walking an hour each morning with Devyn & Bettina. It is a great time to chat and let the girls bark at the neighborhood dogs.
Tuesday we watched our neighbors daughter all day 10:30am-8:30 pm. It was a long day but good for Alexa to have a pal to play with. I was asked to do it every Tuesday but my schedule is just to unpredictable to commit to that.
Thursday we had lunch with the Palmer's & Daddy in Scottsdale at the Pink Taco
Friday-Sunday we hung out at home while Greg pampered the girls. He is such a great dad and hubby. He totally took over Alexa duty and cleaned the entire house while I vegged! :) He is the best.
