Memorial Day Parade

For the Memorial Day Parade this year our Sunday School class decided to sit together to watch.  It was so much fun to watch all the kids running for the candy.  We had told them to stay behind a white line on the road and they all kept going past it...candy was more important!  The parade was a little shorter this year, but it didn't seem much like it thanks to the scorcher of a day that we had.  A fun morning with friends!
Whitney, Raleigh, and Lindsey

 Ready to go!

 And it begins!

 HCA Championship Team!!

Love the amount of candy that Robby's throwing to Raleigh (and the other kids)

She got some!!!  At the beginning of the parade Raleigh would not pick up candy.  Jason said she wasn't going to play sports (or at least none that require aggressiveness)!
And then there was Jeffrey and Rachel!  I'm going to miss them next year!

 The Warbingtons
Definitely the most interesting thing in the parade.  A local taxidermist advertising with a truck full of deer...stuffed deer!  Raleigh's stance I think about sums up what all the kids were thinking!
 And finally the horses!

Class A Baseball State Champions!

Robby was part of the varsity baseball team at HCA.  He wasn't the starter this year (since he was a freshman), but he played some and almost had to catch the second game this day.  Hebron played Providence Christian.  If they won both games then they were state champions, if they split the games then they would have to play again on Monday.  It was a sweep!  They won both games and became the Class A Baseball State Champions!  It was wonderful to see them run out and make a huge dog pile in the center of the field and celebrate with so many who were there to watch the games.  So proud of Robby and his team!
I love the team cheering in the back and the boys in the front sweeping home plate
The Championship team...Robby is the third from the left on the front row
Lacy and Robby...Lacy was the manager for the team
 One proud daddy!

Raleigh of course had to get in the action and take some pictures

I think Todd should have stood up some during the game and tried to get some sun on the rest of his legs!

Lacy's Graduation

It's official...Lacy is a high school graduate!  I know I've said it before, but it's so hard to believe.  Before I turn around it's going to be Raleigh!  Hebron Christian Academy held their graduation at Hebron and it was a wonderful graduation ceremony.
Slideshow pictures before graduation began

 During the ceremony
Dr. Frank Cox speaking to the graduates
 Lacy receiving her diploma

The "fun" teacher changing the graduates tassels

A graduate!  Not only did they receive their diplomas, but they received a Bible with their name engraved...nice!

Some chant/cheer that the graduates did after the ceremony

That's a sneaky smile coming from Todd, but proud of his little girl!
We waited to give Lacy her graduation gifts until Sunday at lunch.  She had her favorite little cousin helping!

Lacy's Baccalaureate Service

Hard to believe the time is here for Lacy to graduate high school!  But first they had their baccalaureate service which is sort of combined with an awards night (only because they gave out awards and some scholarships).  Proud of Lacy and the various awards that she received!!
Before the service started

 Kevin talking with the graduates
Brianna (Lacy's best friend since preschool) getting one of her awards
Lacy getting her award (that included best negotiator) from one of her teachers.  All the kids started cheering for him when he got up there.  Definitely seemed like a fun teacher!

Receiving a scholarship for ABAC.  So nice of this man to drive up to give them this award!
All the seniors make a senior scrapbook (wish I would have been made to do this during the year so I wouldn't have waited to finish mine until my sophomore year of college).  This night they present it to their parents.  Lacy bringing hers to Todd.  Wish it wasn't blurry, but I had to get a picture of her scrapbook in...it was the biggest one!  A girl after my own heart that loves pictures as much as I do!
