So today was hopefully Tommy's last surgery for a while. Poor little guy had ear tubes put in at 6 months, adenoids removed at 12 months, and today had his tonsils removed, any remaining adenoid tissue removed, and had the ear tubes removed and the eardrums patched. He came through it like a little champ though.

Here he was in the lobby--happy and not quite sure what was going on.

Here he is in the pediatric pre-op area--this time not quite so happy. He was tired, hungry, and in a strange place with people poking and prodding him. The nurses acted a little surprised that he was acting up--as Tommy would say, He-lloooooooo! Apparently he was one of their more challenging peds this morning (imagine that!), but nothing a little Versed couldn't cure.

This time he did awesome coming out of the anesthesia--quite a different story from 12 months old! He was quite comfy and Mommy and Daddy took turns snuggling up with him while he snoozed. The nurses even brought a warm blanket and put over Daddy. They were both fast asleep in no time. Like I told Dr. Hurley, "There's my two babies." (One, being the biggest baby of all, if you know what I mean . . .)
