Sledding Fun

Kanarra got hit with a lot of snow so we took advantage of it and went sledding. It was a blast and we came home without any broken bones!

Tami and I took the kids to the Christmas festival in Cedar. It was kind-of a disappointment from last year, but at least we got some cute pics. The "santa" didn't even look like santa; he had to hold his beard up every time he talked and when Ky saw him she yelled, "That is NOT the real santa!" We all got a chuckle out of it!

Christmas Count Down

Tylie and Crey have been asking to make a Christmas chain for a week but I told them we had to wait for Thanksgiving to get over- We barely made it!

Lone Pine Arch

The warm weather is still hanging on so we are taking every opportunity to get outside before it gets cold. This weekend we went to Lone Pine Arch. The weather was perfect and I found three arrowheads. It was so pretty!

Little Hairdresser

What a good sport, Dad! Tylie had so much fun doing dad's hair and it looked so nice we had to take a pic!

Tami and I found a fun little spot to let the kids play and look for "rocks." The kids had so much fun they wanted to take their daddy's to see it so the next weekend Ty and Stoney went with us. The kids made a little hut and had a pretend fire. We always have fun with Tami's family!

Book 1 Recital

We finally made it! Tylie had her book one recital and despite being really nervous, she played very well! We are all so proud of her and all the hard work she has put into this. She wanted to quit several times, but hung in there and got it done! Good Job Tylie!!!

A friend in Kanarra put on a cute Halloween party. They had a lot of really fun games to play. There was a maze built out of hay bails, a pinata, a "bean bag" toss, pumpkins to paint, a bunch of crafts and some really yummy food!

Halloween has arrived! Tylie dressed up as belle and Crey threw on some camo and went as a hunter. We went trick-or-treating around Kanarra with Tami and her kids.

We finally have Tylie's Book 1 recital scheduled. She is excited to get this over with and move on to book 2! She is sick of playing all the same songs everyday and is not practicing like she should. I hope she doesn't forget her songs before the big day!

Crey dressed up for his preschool halloween party. He thought it was pretty cool to be wearing "real" makeup for a mustache. (Don't tell Daddy!)

Pumpkin Carving

The kids are really excited about Halloween and have been begging to carve our pumpkins. They did a really good job and had a lot of fun!

How many more days until Christmas???

Crey and Ky found the JC Pennies Christmas catalog and had a blast finding everything they want! There little fingers were busy dancing over the pages and their smiles just wouldn't go away!

Working in the Office

Crey decided to go get his computer and set it up on his table so he could "work like Mommy." He is such a sweet little boy!

We were outside watching this preying mantis when it grabbed a grasshopper and started eating it. The kids thought it was really interesting. We had a little lesson on "the food chain." It ended up eating the whole body and left the head and legs. After it finished it crawled off into the flower bed and it wasn't long before it found another grasshopper for dessert.

We have been having so much fun lately! Tami and I took the kids to the Virgin River. The weather was wonderful. The kids played in the water while Tami and I layed on the blanket in the warm fall sun. I was wishing it was May instead of October. I don't like the cold winter months so we are really enjoying these "warmer than usual" temperatures!
Tami, Terry (Tami's mom) and I had a girls day out last Saturday. We ran the "Save a Sister" 5K run. The weather was perfect for the race. It was a lot of fun and Terry recieved 3rd place for her age group! I was pretty proud of her! After the 5K we went over to the "What Women Want" expo and looked at the things "women want." They had a lot of fun things to buy, but we saved our money and left with nothing. Tyler said we had want we want at home (our husbands). We went to lunch and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable day. We all needed the little break from life and it was nice to have some time away.
The kids are still loving school. I can't believe we are already in the second quarter. Tylie is getting 100% on almost all her work and tests. She has the best teacher! I hope she will still be teaching when Crey is in 2nd grade! Crey is starting to come out of his shyness a little. He looks forward to school days now -which is a big relief! His favirite thing is neaking away to the neighbors house (Ty's cousin) and bumming popsicles. It's a good thing we have such good neighbors. That's one reason why I love Kanarra!
