Okay I am a week behind in bloggin and so here is what I have. We were able to go spend a Saturday helping our next door neighbor build his shed. I thought it would have worked some what like legos, its a kit type of shed, but atlas, it did not turn out that way. But we had lots of fun helping and believe it or not, not one swear word came out through the whole process. Well, our neighbor does happen to be our Bishop so maybe that played a role in that. Anyway, Rylie found a new love in life---BARBIES! Yikes! I was not ready for this yet, but she just sat on that swing for a good hour and played with them, and the rest of the day she had atleast one in her hand. She loved to comb their hair and carried the comb around with her too. Nate on the other hand, found it quite interesting to see one naked. Apparently we need to do a little sex ed with him. Over all it was a very sucessful day and good neighborly bonding. Here are the remaining pictures, none of the guys wanted to show their faces--go figure.

Spring Break in Moab--2008
This year for spring break we had the opportunity to go to Moab with 3 other families and do some hiking and camping. We had so much fun and like always, it just wasn't long enough. We were able to see so many cool things and left with lots of things unseen. Some of the places we were able to visit were in Canyon lands, Arches and Dead Horse Point. These are a few pictures from our trip.
The first 3 pictures are at dead horse point. This was such an awesome place to see but a little scary, the drop offs were amazing. The views from here definitely made you want to have the death grip on your children the whole time. The bottom right picture was at the sand dunes which by far was my kids favorite hike. I think it was a total of .2 miles and it opened up to the coolest sand. They had a blast taking off their shoes and goofing around here.

The top right picture is part of a few of the kids that went with us on this trip, there were total of 15 kids under the age of 10. When we went into a restaurant we made a lot of heads turn in our direction. The bottom left is a picture of most of our group hiking delicate arch. The top left and bottom right pictures are at the top of delicate arch. These pictures don't do it justice because the wind was blowing like crazy and both kids were scared to death, they were holding on to me for dear life. I will have to give it to my kids though, they did this hike which was 3 miles round trip with out much whining. They got scared on top and weren't able to enjoy that part of it much but they were such troopers.

This last hike was one of our favorites and one Drew and I had never done. It is the mesa arch and the first picture we are in front of it and to our right is a huge drop off, there was not much wiggle room for this picture. Their was a guy there who was willing to stand on an edge and take this picture of us and a few of the other families we were with. The right picture is a straight shot of the arch and the ground below. We actually lost a few hats from the group at this edge.

Blue and White
Mary has turned this one over to me. I will see how I can do. Technology is not my cup of tea, but double click on the pictures and you can get a better view of the kids. Today I had to swallow my pride and spent some time on the BYU campus. I am amazed that they even let me on. The boys and I attended the Blue and White scrimmage. Before the the scrimmage began the boys got to go on the field and work with the team on some drills.
All in all it was a great day with the boys. Who can complain about being with there kids on a football field. Next year we will head to the real blue and white game in Logan. Go Aggies!

UNC???

This is just a tribute to Drew in memory of their GINORMOUS loss!!!Do we love them still? Well I sure hope so, since we have a daughter named after the stinking team. Though is was a hard loss for Drew to swallow, he still remains a faithful fan. Sorry to all of you that had them going to the championship and winning, better luck next year.

Rylies favorite thing to do in the morning is to help the boys feed Coda. She gets so exctied to do it to. Normally, she would only be seen in just her onsie and snowboots (favorite outfit) but we actually caught her out there completely dressed. She will run to get her boots (and only her boots) any time the phrase "feed coda is mentioned." She will patiently wait at the door out to the garage until someone comes to help her out. She will be caught through out the day in the dog food just trying to help out again. It is actually quite cute. Nate is usually the one that gives Coda her food and that is what Rylie likes more that helping with the water. Well one day Nathan couldn't find his coat so he proceeded to put on Rylies coat and called it good. I thought that was pretty funny and you know how it goes, you laugh at them and they think they need to do that from that point on. So here is Nathan dressed so cute, in Rylie's coat going out to feed Coda. I am sure if our neighbors are watching any of what goes on in our house they are sure to deem us as faulty and insane parents. We do our best but these pictures show our results.
We definitely have girls in our family!!!!!!
Watching General conference is suppose to be a day of relaxation and and what not right? Apparently not at our house. We thought we would prepare our kids this year and have something for them to do so they weren't driving us crazy and they weren't driving each other crazy. After searching through sugardoodle.com (which is a site I recommend to all) I came up with page after page of things for them to do. We printed them off and colated them and had the page packet looking quite snazzy. What more could they want. Then to top it off we decided that it was totally up to them to do it but if they did we would take them out for a treat. Well Saturday went by and nothing was done on them, because if they worked on them then, what would they do on Sunday? Okay good point. So Sunday rolls around and bam, they get it out and work on it for about 10 minutes, just long enough to drive us crazy. It was quesiton after question trying to fill in the blanks, not realizing that the purpose was for them to listen to the talks and fill it in, not us. Anyway they finally gave up. We will see if they get back to it or not. I think it will be just Drew and I that are going to be enjoying that wonderful treat tomorrow. well Rylie of course was just not sure what to do with herself and I think I was at wits end with her and I needed something to do while listening to conference. I decided that I would work on the computer imputing all my recipes into one location and listen to conference via the internet. I got Rylie some toys and we were set. She must have been bored and after a little while she left the room, to be in dads care of course. 10-15 minutes later she came in and Nate yells, "mom what is that brown stuff all over Rylie's face?" Well to my dismay she was not in the care of her father but herself. She loves to go in our bathroom and sneek tastes of our toothpaste but never had I encountered her doing other such mischeivous things in there.

To our surprise she got into my makeup (which for those of you who know me well know that my make up consists of very little stuff.) She found my foundation and proceeded to make her self up and boy was she proud. But I do have to hand it to her, she knew exactly where to put it. It completely covered her face and it was really no where else to be found. She must be a girl.
Our other girl in our family seems to be Derrek (not really)

He has been following the latest trend the last couple of months of "growing his hair long" Much to his father's dismay he loves it and he thinks it is pretty cool. We do however put a few restrictions on his hair and that is that it can't hang into his eyes and can't go much past his collar. I know we are mean but those are the rules. We were just fooling around with him and did his hair like Rylies to show hime it could be done, and just had to take a picture and show you the resemblence. When we told him we were going to post it I am not sure he was too happy so we had to take a picture of him and his normal hair do to make him feel a little better.

Do you love the spoons?
Rylie has such a mind of her own, not only is she growing into a little girl now instead of a toddler, she thinks she has her very own opinions too. She knows what she wants and expects us to bend down to her. So this was an easy one to give in on, she really wanted to eat dinner with measuring spoons and that is exactly what she got. No need to make a woman mad. I think she definitely takes after the Corry side of the family---STUBBORN
