I'm back!

Ok I know, I've been soooo lazy lately posting nothing but pictures of the kids. For those out there wondering about Ben, here is the latest.

Dr. Bruny who happens to be Ben's Surgeon send us to do a stoma study (stoma is the name for the funny things he has sticking out his belly from where he poops). The results showed that some areas of the intestines got damaged by the infection and also that his colon is still inflamated witch means that the infection is still there. To be sure about the infection, the doctor asked us to also go and have some blood work done to check the white cells count. The results showed again that yes the infection is still there so..... That's what happened......This is what will happen....

We are going to wait about two more weeks from today and then will do blood work again. After that we'll take Ben to Children's Hospital and they will perform a colonoscopy on him (means to insert a camera through the bottom to see what's going on inside) and after that they will do a couple of biopsies in his colon to test for more dead nerves. Surgery will come either way. Dr. bruny warn me that she wants to make a bigger operation to be able to see with her own eyes the shape of his intestines and colon. She is also planning on reattaching the intestines back together so he can go #2 like a normal person.

So, to me, everything that is to come is very uncertain. They still can't understand why Ben is not healing and why in spite of his condition he looks soooo good and they still don't have answers to my many questions which is really frustrating.

Well I have to say, I'm very grateful that Ben not just look perfectly healthy but also that he is just the happiest baby I’ve known. He is the sweetest and most smiley baby ever. I looooove him so much and even though life is pretty crazy with two kids I wouldn't change it for anything. Please continue to pray for him and the rest of us. We love you all and appreciate your love to us.
