The Cundiffs

How can it have been 5 months since my last post? Friends have commented on my poor children in the bathtub for the past 5 months on here, I'm glad they didn't call CPS on me! :) I promise in real life there has been much more going on than you see from the blog. That's probably one of the main reason the blog has been so neglected. So what have we been up to? Here are a few pictures of the kids to show life has continued outside of the tub.

We spent Christmas in Orlando with both sets of grandparents, my sister, and her family. It was fun to watch the kids at Disney. Those pictures will have to wait until I have more time on the computer. Hopefully that is not another 5 months!

Overall, life has been pretty good, and really full! We are blessed.

We had fun in the tub and in the yard this weekend keeping cool. It's amazing how much fun your toys can be once you add water. Declan and Addy entertained each other for the longest time in the tub just by adding these buckets and shovels from the dollar sale table.

John took them out in the back yard and turned the slide into a water slide for a while this afternoon. They are still out there playing now. It's such fun to hear the squeals of joy from my dry perch.





Of course Declan turned the sprinkler into a "car wash" before the time was complete.

That's all for now, they are done playing and asking for towels, I guess my break is over. :)

Well, sometimes you just have to be silly! At least that is what Declan thinks most the time these days. We had an international day at school and John went through his hat collection to find us some for school. Here we are playing with the hats.



I guess that was so fun the next day we needed to make our own. Declan came in wearing his pull up on his head and Addy wanted to join in on the fun. The giggles were endless.


Addy and Declan really do play well together these days. Last night they were running from room to room laughing and singing. They started sharing a bedroom about a week ago and they are keeping each other up at night for a while "talking" from bed to bed. Really Declan is the one talking and singing and Addy is just imitating him, but it sounds so cute. "Do you love Addy?" I asked Declan the other night while they were playing. His reply was "Yes mama, yes I really do!"

We had a fun filled 4th of July weekend. John's parents were here Thursday-Saturday. We spent time with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Frank on Friday in Grand Prairie. We then spent time in Athens with the most of Aunt Mary's crew. The kids were spoiled rotten by everyone and enjoyed the time so much they didn't want to come home. Declan sat in the car and cried when we got back to our house without Opa and Bobo this afternoon. He said I want to go again. Of course, John and I were rather glad to see our house after the full weekend. Here are some pictures of the time:

Not a good picture, but a real version of what Declan spent most his time doing. There were 5 dogs there, so the kids did some chasing and the dogs did some running today.
Addy even managed to take over a dog bed for a while. Yes, what a nice place to rest
Declan went for a ride on his first boat, a paddle boat that is, but it counts
The sad face is because he had to get off, he would have stayed out there as long as we let him.
Although it's the 4th of July, Addy managed to find some Easter eggs to play with for a while. She has her holidays all mixed up, but she'll get it straight one day.

Addy and I stayed home this morning from church. She has just not been herself and is teething. I didn't want to take a fussy child to class. We baked some chocolate chip cupcakes for daddy for father's day and she even got to lick the beater after. I went to check on her after she had licked the beater and this is what I found:
That's right, sound asleep in her chair.

Thought I'd capture a video of Addy walking for you. I was trying to dress her and she took off. I grabbed the camera and she walked more than she's ever done before. I think her hopping/scooting days are about over.
