Sprinkler fun

Opa and Bobo were here to visit Friday and Saturday. After a little yard work time we all went out to play. Declan was covered in sweat and grass so we pulled out the sprinkler to see what he would do. At first he was not so sure, needed a little help from Opa.

Then Opa got the bright idea of the wagon, and finally he was ready for some good sprinkler fun.

Next thing you know she has made her way over

And then the attack

By the time she was through she had bitten off a piece of the yellow plastic wrapper and I was having to pry it out of her mouth. And this is just the beginning, I'm sure Declan and Addy will be trying to steal food from each other for several years to come.

Oh no, she takes after mom.

I'm having a hard time catching Addy with her eyes open on camera lately. I guess she gets that from me. When I smile I tend to shut my eyes. I know it was hard on my parents to get good pictures because of that. I did finally get her with open eyes in a couple of shots. She was having such fun pulling Declan's hair and patting him in the crib this morning. This is what he wants to do first thing in the morning every day, crawl into her crib and play.

Declan has graduated to the toddler bed!

Finally, Declan has made it to the big boy bed and given Addy his crib. We are on day 4 of him sleeping in his bed, so I got brave and turned the crib into Addy's girly bed. I'm so glad to have some pink in the room finally.

While I type this Addy is playing in her crib and Declan is going back and forth between the two of us playing. I hope that soon enough she starts sleeping through the night so she can use the crib for more than just naps. She's still in the living room in a pack'n'play the rest of the time.

He's a sweety and a moody one at times. Here are the pictures to prove it and a little video for fun too.

I was busy making a cake for a wedding reception yesterday and Declan wanted to help. Since I had a little extra cake batter, I let him have some fun. Here he is eating as much frosting as he's putting on the cake. This was with the help of Daddy, since Addy was demanding mom's attention by the time the cake was ready for frosting. Don't worry, I didn't let him help with the one for the wedding at all. I know the guests would prefer that a two year old not lick the cake before it gets to them.

After all the excitement he decided to come love on Addy. I think she wanted to eat his face to get the rest of the frosting. She willingly let him hold her and cuddle her for a while.

Addy's 6 month checkup

On Wednesday we went for Addy's 6 month check up and things look great. She's growing like a weed. She now weighs 15lbs 4oz, is 26.5 inches long, and is healthy as can be. That night she decided to cut her first tooth, followed by the second tooth two days later.

Sure is hard to believe it's been over 6 months already. Here's a picture of her all dressed up for the Gombert wedding tonight. She is sitting up by herself for short periods now.

I've been back from camp for over a week now, but I just have not had time to blog. We have been going and going these past few weeks.
