Merry Christmas

I pray that you and yours are having a very Merry Christmas this year.

We are enjoying the time with family. I'll post lots of pictures when we return home this weekend.

On Tuesday night we had our family Christmas with my side of the family. A great time for all of us. Declan and Addy were spoiled rotten by their Aunt Dina and Uncle Jeff. I think we may all be in danger from the cool sword that they gave Declan (no real worries, it's made out of foam). Addy has the sweetest little doll stroller/walk behind toy from her grandparents. Declan aslo used his Handy Manny tools to "fix" almost everything in sight, so far the TV and furniture have survived his hammer and saw, but he's getting some real lessons on what you can fix and what works just fine on it's own.

Wednesday we spent the day shopping and spending some Christmas cash from Nanny and Papa (Thanks mom and dad!). This morning I'm waiting for the kids to wake up to do their presents with Opa and Bobo (John's parents). After we finish our time here we are headed to John's Aunt Mary's house, about 3 hours from here, for Christmas dinner and more time with extended family. Addy will get to meet some of her cousins for the first time.

We are so blessed with family!
Merry Christmas,
Teresa

It's Snowing

It's not something we see often around here, so even though it's bed time for Declan he had to go out and see the snow falling.

Addy has been having lots of fun tonight putting this on her head and taking it off again. I guess she's playing peekaboo with it.

Here are a couple of shots of the kids under the Christmas tree from a few nights ago. They had so much fun playing with the presents, now for some reason they don't understand why I don't want them to touch the tree or gifts anymore, I know, mixed messages, bad mom :)

Here's Addy standing up for the first time without holding on to anything. She was really cute with it, she kept almost squatting to keep from falling over.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Last night we took the kids downtown to "Christmas on the Square" for the tree lighting and time with Santa. They both did great all things considered. We waited in line for an hour before Santa even arrived, watched the tree lighting from the line, enjoyed a little fireworks, and then had a quick talk with Santa before going home. It was all of 35 degrees out, so that added to the festive feel. Although you can't tell it from the picture we got, Declan was mesmerized by Santa. Wen we left he wanted to know where the toys he asked for are and was a little upset in the car that we didn't get to take them home with us and have to wait until Christmas. He asked for a "big orange rubber ducky" and for a dolly for Addy. Here's a few shots from yesterday around the house.

A few Thanksgiving weekend Pictures

We had a great time with family last week and I thought it was time I share the pictures:

Declan and Addy had a tea party with Nanny while we were there:

Here are a few of Declan helping decorate the Christmas tree on Saturday. He has such fun! Each morning he has been excited all over again to see "My Christmas Tree" as he calls it. Addy has enjoyed it too, but not as closely as she would like. I have so far managed to keep her from pulling it over.
