Marshmallow Shooters

You know how boys just need something to shoot (or shoot at)? Maybe it's just my boys, but I think it's in their blood (this is where my dad explains how their ancestors were in the Revolutionary War). Somehow they've got to exercise their fighting spirit.

Voila. I found the idea for these marshmallow shooters on pinterest (love it!) and they've been a hit. They're so easy to make, too! You need:

2 plastic cups
1 12" balloon
scissors
small marshmallows or pompoms

Get easy instructions here. Enjoy!

Out and About

Yes, we are still alive. Busy, but alive. Here are some of the things keeping us busy (and happy).

Isaac's 5th birthday

Jacob's Sandman Run

Cuties...

First day of school

Little man is sitting up and crawling now!

Love that smile. Johnny turned 2 in August. Where does the time go?

Isaac and Ben are in soccer this fall.

This little boy just makes me smile.

Drooler...

Couldn't miss the sites of DC on our trip. Jacob and I stole away by ourselves for a few days thanks to Grandma M.

The American History Museum looks great after its remodeling.

Couldn't miss the Air and Space Museum. (I'm only dressed like that because we biked around DC all day, which I highly recommend next time you visit!)

Lucy's spot was as pretty as ever.

My birthday was great with all these cute boys.

No really, what are we going to name the baby?

I know, I know, I only have two weeks left. I should have a name by now! But after three boys I guess I'm just out of names. There are only one or two good ones in the running and I need all the help I can get. What would you name our next little boy?

My Little Boy

Ben has always had a contagious smile. He attracts people with his laughter and sweet nature. He adores his younger brothers. I'll often find him dressing Johnny in his pajamas or giving him snacks without being asked to. Ben wants to be good. He has an innate desire to choose the right. He makes friends easily. He's affectionate and almost always good-natured. He's a talented pianist. He loves playing soccer and playing the Wii. He has a musical ear and often drums out rhythms during dinner or on buckets and boxes in the backyard (I haven't gotten him a drum set due to the lack of a basement). He is a good example for his younger brothers. I'm sure he was chosen to be first in our family for that reason.
I love him dearly, and I'm so glad he's been mine for the past eight years.

Happy Birthday Ben!
