We have never ventured out for family pics in the bluebonnets which is a Texas tradition. We are currently home on quarantine due to the Corona Virus or Covid-19. This was the first time we had left the house in about a week other than walks around the neighborhood. It was the perfect activity and exactly what we needed. I love the way the pictures turned out. My favorite is the one of them all laughing together.

Easter
We started off the Easter weekend with an egg hunt at the Blattman’s. Aiden was still on his campout so he wasn’t with us. Then Easter egg dying and on to our Easter morning. We had a BIG fight over the golden egg between Aiden and Brooklyn that crumbled the morning. We moved on to church and came home happier.

Navy Airplane Museum
On our last day we went to this amazing airplane museum. They had so many models from the Wright Brother era on up to the current fighters and Blue Angel planes. It was very cool to walk around and talk to the kids about the different parts. The most favorite part was by far getting to climb into some of the cockpits and see what it would feel like.

Ft. Pickens- spring break
So on our last day there we checked out the Fort wher we were camping. It was very cool to explore and the kids all really enjoyed it. I just wish we could have been a little warmer.
This may have been the camping trip to end all camping trips. I had one of the scariest nights in a tent that was half comical/ half scary. The kids were all scared and I was out trying to help Brian tie doe the rain fly that had come up. He was literally soaking, asked me to hold the fly which then resulted in cold rain down my back as well. We finally got it all set, climbed in and dried off. I went to check on each of the kids and the were all fast asleep. Apparently they said it was so scary they climbed in their sleeping bags and closed their eyes tight. We made the best of it while we were there.

Spring Break at Ft. Pickens in Pensacola Florida
We made the drive from Texas to Florida for spring break this year. We knew there was rain in the forcast but Brian was set on not putting it off another year. The Louisiana/Texas border was closed on I-10 so our 9 hr drive took 12 with the detour. This should have been our first clue with things to come. Here we are on our first day there. It was cold, and windy and the storms kept rolling by. You can see in the horizon on some of these pictures what the weather was like. I was so sad becuase I would have loved to see this beautiful beach on a sunny, warm day!
