Party Time!

Every year we look forward to the annual Goforth/Fiero/ Beach family Christmas party. This party started when I was 5. I have such fun childhood memories from this party and now my children are having the same opportunity. Santa made an appearance and brought each child a special gift. We couldn't find Uncle Eric while Santa was there! Where could Uncle Eric have gone? There was a bounce house, gingerbread men and gingerbread houses to decorate and tons of food. I am so bummed because I ate my last chocolate dipped peanut butter cheesecake bite today. I love it when my brother Alan has time to make a yummy treat, those were fabulous!!! I took home as many as I could. A BIG thank you to the Goforth family to opening their home and to Grandma Sue and honorary Grandmas Julie and Leslie for the super fun night!

Happy Birthday Aubrey!

9 years ago today we got the best Christmas present ever! In honor of her big day here are 9 wonderful things about her!

1. She is a loyal friend. (especially to her beloved bear!)

2. She has an amazing imagination.

3. She is a talented writer. She is currently working on the 5th chapter of her latest book. She plans to be the next famous Dickens!

4. She has a fabulous sense of style.

5. She is a very helpful big sister.

6. She loves good food. No french fries for this girl, bring on the steak, fettuccine Alfredo and salmon!

7. She asks the best questions. Ever since she could speak in full sentences (which was right around her 1st birthday) she has questioned everything.....

8. She can out talk me! If you knew me as a child then you know that this is an amazing feat!

9. She loves life and the important things in it, her family, her friends and her faith.

We had a Presley/Fiero Family Reunion Thanksgiving weekend. It was so much fun. It has been many years since my whole family was together. There were a couple notable absences (We love you Alan and Uncle Richard) but the rest of us had one heck of a party. We ate tons of yummy food, played games, made crafts and decorated cookies. A big thank you goes out to my Aunt Lynda and Uncle Don for coordinating! I hope we do it again soon!

Blessed!

Last Sunday we had Laney's blessing. It was wonderful to have so many wonderful family members there with us. Some were missing due to the awful fires here in So Cal and they were greatly missed! Laney wore the same dress that Aubrey did on the day she was blessed. My aunt made the dress from the same material as my wedding dress. It was a truly wonderful sight to see my sweet baby in this beautiful and very sentimental dress being given a beautiful blessing in front of our wonderful relatives, great friends and big church family. Unfortunately the whole experience moved Laney down to her bowels! As soon as the blessing was over I had to whisk her to the bathroom and wash her from armpits to toes! I am happy to say that we were able to get all the lovely yellow breastfed baby poop out of her dress. I had my camera in the diaper bag and got one picture of her in her dress before I had to take it off of her. I took it in the bathroom right before I stripped it off of her. Luckily all the yellow stuff was in the back! A big thank you to all of those who shared this special day with us!

New Friends!

Thank you Grandma for a fun trip to Build a Bear. Austin loves "Cody", his new bear that looks great in his Santa suit. Aubrey thinks "Noel", her new Koala bear is the best, especially in her awesome Christmas dress! Laney was entranced by the lights and the colors of the store. It was the perfect night!
