Down on Grand Daddy's Farm

This afternoon Danny and the children and I went up to my parents farm in Sedalia, to try out Maddie and Dan Dan's new four wheeler. I asked my sisters, Dawn and Dolly, to keep Margaux for us and we spent about 5 hours just riding around having so much fun. It is so pretty out there. So clear! So much fresh air! We love it.

We went over little creeks and drove over cow patties. We drove right into a heard of cattle (slightly intimidating), and even came upon a mommy cow about to give birth, totally incredible! I think we wore the children out. Both Maddie and Harry Jack were asleep as soon as we got back in the truck to drive back to Lynchburg.
Here are some pictures from our day.

Harry Jack did GREAT! He rode with me all afternoon. We thought he would get tired after an hour or so, but he didn't. He kept right on going.
The fearless riders. Maddie and Danny took turns riding their new four wheeler. Next year at this time Margaux will be able to ride with us, so "we just have to get another four wheeler" so she can ride with either me or Danny and we can all venture out together.

Maddie and Dan Dan had fun with this picture. They asked Danny to tell them where to put their arms so it would look like they were resting their arms on the mountain.
This is the mommy cow we drove up on. Bless her heart, she was having a time birthing this calf. My dad told us that she had been sitting under this tree for a couple of days, waiting and waiting to give birth. It was really a site to see. When we came up on her she was lying down. We watched her for about 15 minutes. Finally she awkwardly and slowly got up and tried to walk around a little. We decided to keep riding and come back and check on her later.........
......and this is how we found her one hour later. Still pregnant. Still waiting to give birth.

You Better Not Cry....Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Finally, I am getting a chance to post some pictures from Christmas.
This past week has been so busy. Most importantly My Love, Danny, arrived on Christmas morning. Due to a transportation situation to the train station in Raleigh, NC, on our return to Florida (long problematic story), Danny decided to ditch his plane ticket on Christmas Day and just drive up to Lynchburg Christmas Eve. He left Florida about 7:00pm Christmas Eve and, against my wishes, DROVE ALL NIGHT. It was a long night for both of us as I called and text him every couple hours to make sure he was alright. He arrived at my parents house Christmas morning at 8:30, just in time for pancakes, bacon, pork chops (southern thing), fruit and hot coffee! We were all happy to see him. The children screamed and ran out to the truck to give him big hugs and kisses.

So we are together again and LOVIN IT! Time has gone by too quickly and we are trying to figure out how we can fit a day or two more into our stay here in good ole' Lynchburg. But soon our time will end and we will begin the long road home. We will have to save the "Polar Express" for another time.

Below are some pictures of the children as they each got to sit on Santa's lap Christmas Eve. Santa has traditionally come visit all the grandchildren every Christmas Eve to see if there are any last minute wishes, and to urge the children to be good!
Margaux no likie Santa Claus!
Danny asked Santa for a Gameboy!
(He didn't get it, Santa brought him a four wheeler.)

Harry Jack asked Santa for a Diego Monster Truck.
He didn't exactly get that but got PLENTY of Diego toys.

Maddie girl asked for a Nintendo DS. She didn't get that either! She and Dan Dan are riding in style on their new four wheeler. Bless Danny's heart. For the past 3 years, he has wanted to buy them this and I have said, "NO, our children are too spoiled and DON'T need that!" This year I happily surrendered.
My children (Danny, Maddie, and Dan Dan) are so happy!
This is nice to see, BUT now I have been told we need to get another one so they can each have one! I knew that was coming!

The Keebler Elves Have Nothin' On Us

This afternoon after church, my sisters and I did some serious damage to my parents basement.
We baked, we made a huge mess, we had fun!
We put one of our favorite movies on (Meet me in St. Louis).
We made a fire in the fireplace, and let our 10 children run wild and play as we made all sorts of treats to eat Christmas Eve while we open gifts.
Magic Cookie Bars, Oreo Balls, Decorated Sugar Cookies, Toffee, and Graham Cracker Caramel Squares were all on the menu. Yum!
Donna is still making a few cookies as I type and my mother is making 2 apple pies. Needless to say, we girls know how to eat!
The baking crew, minus my mother who was upstairs being Mrs. Santa and wrapping gifts. From left to right, Dawn(#3), Me and Margaux, Dolly (#4), Donna (#5) and Dayna(#1) holding 5 week old Wyatt.

Note to Readers: Remember we have been chasing children and slaving in a hot kitchen for hours. Hense in the above pic's, we look like white trash. Yours truly doesn't even match, in my Woot Tshirt and my pj bottoms!

Christmas Vacation Picture's

This post is for my sweet hubby. Here are some pictures from our trip so far. There are plenty more, but here are a few of the most recent.
Last weekend, my sister Dolly, and Maddie, Margaux, Harry Jack and I drove to Charlotte to see our sister Donna, and got some Christmas shopping done. On the way back to Lynchburg, I looked in the rear view mirror and found Harry Jack smiling back at me with a sock cap on his head, that he found in the truck somewhere, and his fruit roll up pieces all over his face. He's a mess! He, DAILY, keeps me laughing!
Harry Jack watching the same singing bears I used to watch as a little girl, every Christmas at our local mall.
Maddie ice skating at her cousins birthday party today, at the Liberty University Lahaye Ice Center. Let me tell you this, I have been to plenty of ice rinks. Today, this ice rink was FREEZING! I have never been so cold in an ice rink before in my life!
Sweet Margaux Jeanne with red cheeks and nose from the cold rink! By the way, she now has 5 teeth!
Dan Dan, minutes before he took a bad fall and fell flat on his back and head. OUCH! Tears were falling, bless his heart! By the way, notice the "SECKMAN PRINTING" sign to the right of Dan Dan's head. Woohoo Uncle Leland! #1 print shop in the world. I tell you, those Seckman's, they are an A+ class act!

Christmas Favorites

This is a "Tag, You're it"post. It originated from my sister Donna's, sister in law Kristy. Usually I do not answer these type of emails/posts but, hey, it's Christmas. Here it goes:

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Definitely wrapping paper. Gift bags are much easier, but better left for birthday parties. Plus, the Christmas tree looks so much nicer with nicely wrapped gifts underneath.

2. Real or artificial tree? We have always had a real tree. But I tell you, they are getting so costly!!!!! I am truly thinking of buying an artificial tree at one of these after Christmas sales. Next year I will just keep a bottle of "pine" room spray/freshener on hand and spray it around the house every so often.

3. When do you put up the tree? Well........sadly, this year we did not do a tree since the children and I are up here in Virginny for most of December. (We are eagerly waiting for Danny to arrive on the 25th!) But traditionally we start to decorate the house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving and have a tree up by the weekend after Thanksgiving. Also, VERY sadly, due to our new state of living, FLORIDA, it is hard to get in the Christmas decorating mood when the temperature is 80 plus degrees outside. It is not like Christmas decorating in Dixie!

4. When do you take the Christmas tree down? Usually a few days after Christmas, or when I cannot take the pine needles being tracked all over the house anymore.

5. Do you like Eggnog? NO! (I am making a throw-up sound!) Please pass me a cherry coke!

6. Favorite gift you received as a child? I seriously cannot remember. I cannot remember "asking" for certain gifts at Christmas. Was I a dump child or what? I just got lost in the 5, I just got lost in the 5! No, seriously, I must have asked for SOMETHING!!!!! I do remember spending all Christmas Day afternoon playing in my room, my fifth grade year. I must have received some good gifts that year!

7. Do you have a nativity set? Not really. We have a Fisher Price one if that counts. I would like a grown up one....hint hint mom!

8. Easiest person to buy for? My sisters or my children, anytime!

9. Hardest person to buy for? My hubby!!!! He always buys me nice thoughtful gifts! Ooh, I love him!

10. Worst Christmas gift ever received. I will ditto the answer that my sister Donna used on her blog. Lets just say, I cannot answer that question because the giver (a very nice person) may be an URR (under the radar reader). I gave my gift to the Good Will. By the way, Donna tried to sell hers on ebay, but no one would buy it.

11. Christmas Cards....snail mail or e-mail? I am BIG into email, BUT Christmas cards are different. EVERYONE should send Christmas cards via the United States Postal Service!!!!!!! I look forward to all my friends cards each year, and if they include pix of their little ones, I tape them to the fridge.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Hmmmmm. Definitely White Christmas! I also enjoy the Little House Christmas episodes! Those are a tear jerker, those are a tear jerker!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually as I find good deals. So far, I am not one of those people who are out at the last minute still trying to finish shopping.

14. Have you ever 'recycled' a Christmas present? Yes, and I have also been recycled on! Nothings better then opening a gift and finding a card in the box from the original gift giver!

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Let's just say the place to be is Clover Hill!! Go mom and Dad!

16. Clear or colored lights (or both) on the tree? On the family tree, colored. On a special themed tree, white.

17. Favorite Christmas Song? It is a close tie between Away in a Manger and Silent Night. Those two songs mean more to me now as I have children. They make me cry.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Ever since we moved away we always come home to Virginny for Christmas. Always will too! There is too much tradition to miss it.

19. Can you name Santa's Reindeer? Dasher and Dancer and Comet and Blitzen, Cupid and Dayna, and Dolly, and Dawn and Donna and Momma....wait? Those last few "dears" are my dears not Santa's.

20. Do you have an Angel or a Star on top of you tree? Star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning? My family, all 21 of us, has the tradition of opening the presents on Christmas Eve after reading the Christmas story. We all get our new Christmas pjs on and get our leftovers from Christmas Eve lunch/dinner and the cookies out and then we all take turns opening the presents, ONE AT A TIME!!!!!! It takes a few hours, but it is worth it. Christmas Day brings other traditions that are slowly fading as our family grows.

Shoe SALE!!!!

As we were leaving the Mail America Christmas Party this morning, my sister Dolly told my mom and I that there was a BIG shoe sale downtown Lynchburg. Good ole' Consolidated Shoe Co. was having a sale and all shoes were $10.00 or less and all boots were $15.00. Needless to say from the above picture, the children and I racked up. (Sorry Danny, the mens shoes were all BIG sizes.)
7 pair of shoes + 3 pair of boots= $115.00
MAJOR BARGAIN!
So for any Lynchburg readers, go to the sale! They are getting another shipment in today. They will be opened next weekend too!

Mail America Christmas Party--Go Daddy!

This past Tuesday, the boys and Margaux and I flew up to Lynchburg for Christmas. (Danny will fly up on Christmas Day.) We finally got to see our Maddie girl, who had been here visiting with Grammy and Grand Daddy and the rest of my sisters, since Thanksgiving.
It is so nice to be home! There is no place like home! We have had so much fun relaxing.
This morning we got up early and went to a 7:00 Christmas party/breakfast at my fathers plant, Mail America. I haven't been to a MA Christmas party for a few years so it was nice to be able to be a part of it this year and see all the excitement as the employee's names were pulled out of a hat to win various prizes!
My dad was proud to have all his daughters and grandchildren there, except Donna and her two little ones, Caroline and Roy Austin. Kudos to my big sister Dayna, for stopping by for breakfast on the way to taking her children to school. Bless her heart, she has four children and one of them is a sweet little 5 week old baby boy, Wyatt!
Did I say that it is nice to be home?

Jenny, Pixie, Bailey and The Red Carpet

The show must go on! Tonight begins the second weekend of our church Christmas program, "Southwest Florida Christmas Extravaganza." (Which by the way, please take a moment to take the "Extravaganza" poll at the top right of your screen when you are done reading my blog. Trust me, it serves an important purpose !)

Anyway, this morning we started out our day picking up 3 goats, Jenny, Pixie and Bailey, and taking them to church for our program tonight. We arrived at church successfully with just a few pieces of pebbles of poo poo in the back of the truck. Danny lined the truck really well!

Below are some pictures of our morning.
This is Jenny. She has a baby in her tummy!

Once we got to church Danny and "Mr. Noodle" pulled out the red carpet to get ready for tonight. There is just something about a big wide open space that makes kids run and play. The boys and Margaux loved running and crawling all over the carpet. Sweet Margaux Jeanne! Yes, she is a SWEETIE!
At least once a day we say, "Thank you Jesus for Margaux Jeanne!"

Ahhh...the janitor! It runs in the family, right "Dot?" (Inside Joke)

My Little Marionette Doll

Last night was the first, of ten, productions of the Christmas Extravaganza at our church. The third and fourth act in the extravaganza is a toy shop where the toys come to life and dance. This is flowed by Santa and some elf's skipping down the isles to the song, "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" in which case all the kids/toys go nuts and dance and sing. It is fun to watch and definitely puts you in the Christmas mood, despite the 80 degree weather outside.
Last year Dan Dan and Maddie were "cowkids" (cowboy/girl) and had to do a little dance with their partner cowkid. They were so cute!
This year Maddie is in Virginia with my family for a couple weeks (we will join her in a week) and is missing the extravaganza. Dan Dan told us he would be in the extravaganza this year but he did not want to be anything "that had to dance TOO much." His role this year........ a Marionette Doll. Again, he is so cute! He does a great job doing his marionette dance.
Dan Dan is also part of the King's Kid's (the kings and their peeps that bring the gifts to baby Jesus.) I will try to remember to get a picture of Dan Dan in his costume and post that tonight when we get home.

Sweet Christmas Wreath

Tis the season to spread a little Christmas spirit into your hubby's office.
A Christmas candy wreath!
Every year the children and I make this wreath for Danny.
(Actually, I think we missed it last year. Oops!)
Anyway, it is a fun way for us to decorate Danny's office for Christmas.
Just buy a Christmas wreath, ribbon, a wreath hanger and whatever candy, gum, or little snacks you want.
Oh, and don't forget ornament hangers!
Tape the ornament hangers to your little treats and hang them on the wreath!
Tadaa!!!
Your hubby will love it, so will his co workers!

Happy Thanksgiving!

There are lots of Thanksgiving traditions in our family.
One of our traditions involves lots of good food with lots of family and friends.
My parents had a total of 32 people at their house today, 22 adults, and 10 children under 14 years old.
Here are the stats on our Thanksgiving meal:
3 meats
2 gravies
8 casseroles
2 veggies
40 home made biscuits
3 jello dishes
2 cakes
4 pies
1 plate of cookies
and
4 gallons of sweet tea
Ahhhhhh!!!
Also, kudos to my big sister Dayna for showing up for Thanksgiving lunch 3 days post partum, with her 4th baby, Wyatt Albert Renalds!

Check out my Slide Show!

Take me home to old Virginny!

As I type we are driving up 95, going home for Thanksgiving! Ahhhhh!
Dawn and I packed up the truck this morning and loaded the children in. We made a picnic lunch to eat on the rode, and then drove to church to pick up Danny.
We finally pulled out of North Port at about 1:15.
We are taking a pit stop overnight at Donna and Roy's in Charlotte. I cannot wait to see my new little nephew, Roy Boy! And of course, Caroline too!

Currently, Margaux is screaming because she is tired, and I have the audio of Night at the Museum playing in my ear, as the children and Dawn (my new Nannie) watch it on the flat screen TV my love rigged up in the truck. Cool! Gotta see it!
We are just on the north side of Jacksonville. Just 6 more hours to go. We should be pulling into Charlotte around midnight! Yikes!

We Took Aunt Dawnie to see Mickey--Don't Laugh!

Okay, don't laugh. Even with the cold weather we decided to go to Disney World....again.... one last time in 2007. We wanted to see it all decorated for Christmas. It was lovely!

Aunt Dawnie, Maddie, Dan Dan, and Harry Jack on the Tea Cups.
A Magic Kingdom Classic- "It's A Small World"
Margaux fell asleep in the Baby Bjorn on Danny chest! It was so cold in Orlando that we had to make a stop at the Hat Emporium on Main Street to buy Margaux a hat. It came with mittens too! She looked so cute and chunky in it.

Aunt Dawnie's Coming!!!!

On Thursday afternoon, my sister Dawn flew into Sarasota for a long weekend. Little did she know what this past weekend would have in store for her. For starters, she was coming from cool weather hoping for a little Florida sunshine. Well, the sun was out, but it was not warm. I think the cold front flew in with her.

Happy Birthday to My Love!

Today is Danny's 38th birthday.

He is truly my best friend and the love of my life.

I remember 12 years ago today, giving Danny a birthday party at my parents house. We were just starting to break away from our serious friendship and become seriously dating.

Look how far we have come now!

My love, I love you. For now and forever it is just you and me! Happy Birthday!

A Thorn In My Flesh

FYI: I try to keep my posts short so I don't lose the reader in a bunch of long paragraphs. This post is longer than normal. Sorry!
When we moved to Florida, Danny and I both insisted that we needed a house with a pool. Partly because it is so hot here and second to that, I needed something to keep my very active children occupied.

Well, now that we have been here almost 3 years, lets just say we wish we had done a few things differently. Hind sight (is that how you say/spell it?) is 20/20.

I seriously have a lot "on my plate," and sadly the last thing on my list to worry about is our pool. Our pool has been a thorn in my flesh for the past 3 months.

For the past 3 months our pool has been a nasty green color. I would clean it and put chemicals in it and the next day it was back to being green again. So I just let it go, because I have so much going on with the kids and all, that I couldn't give it the attention it obviously needed.

I hit rock bottom with the pool on Monday. I went to vacuum it and there was NO SUCTION in the vacuum hose. I was instantly sick, thinking the pump was broken and we would need to spend more $$$$$ to replace it. I thought, "God, this is all my fault. I should have taken better care of this pool."

To make a long story short, I finally figured out via a few phone calls to the pool company who put the pool in, that the problem was actually very simple: REPLACE THE FILTER! Who would have thought? Not me! The man who taught me how to use our pool told me the filter would last 2 plus years. PLUS, my parents pool---which I had to clean as a child---doesn't even have a filter. We would just vacuum and backwash and we were good to go.

So we bought a new filter (not cheap, by the way) and with in 20-30 minutes our pool was sparkling! Danny and I both felt so dumb. So stupid. So ungrateful for this pool. The verse that states, "to whom much is given much is required" keeps popping up in my head.

The picture above is what our old filter looked like. Nasty! Please note that we had just cleaned it the night before. Again, NASTY!

Brrr!!!!

The past few days have been very nice here in SW Florida. This week is going to be BEAUTIFUL too. The children and I got in the truck this morning to go to church and the truck thermometer read 65 degrees!!!!! We had to pull the sweaters for Maddie and Margaux.
Tonight it is supposed to get down to 54 degrees!!!! This is the time of year to come to Florida, if you are planning a trip. From now until about Easter the weather is great!
Okay.....a plus for Florida.
Anyway, below is a picture of Margaux. This is how she fell asleep in the nursery this morning. We had a few babies that required a bit of serious attention, so some of the babies who are regulars had to be put on hold. Sweet Margaux just fell asleep right where she was left. She is such a good baby!

Rules for the Bathroom

I think Maddie is tired of sharing a bathroom with her brothers. This is the note I found taped to the bathroom medicine cabinet this morning. It made me laugh and I thought I would share it with you. Bless her heart, she has no idea what she is in for in the years to come.

Happy Halloween!!!

It is just about 10:15. The children are finally in bed and I am able to sit down and post some pictures of our Halloween.

We got dressed up and went to church for a little Halloween party with TONS of cupcakes, juice boxes and CANDY CANDY CANDY! Harrison Jack was literally bumping into walls as we tried to pull him out of church to the truck. He begged for more cupcakes all the way home. He is a true Reber--he LOVES sweets!

The role call in the truck as we drove to church was as follows: One Pirate, One Miss Virginia ( a default costume due to a wardrobe malfunction 24 hours earlier), One Diego(thanks to my friend Julie who make the vest and backpack), One Nurse (me) and the cutest little Snow White ever--well, a close tie with my niece Caroline who lent us the costume she wore 2 years ago. Thanks Sweet Carolina! Yes, Carolina, from the Queen City of Charlotte, NC.

So enjoy the picture slide show below. Don't eat too much candy during the next few days! Happy Halloween from the Logan's!

Bumbo Safety Alert!

There is an important consumer safety alert for all of us with Bumbo's. Please click on Bumbo and read the CPSC alert! There is a link at the end of the alert that will help you send the alert to other families that may have a Bumbo.

This is a great seat but we too have seen Margaux almost fall out of it from the table. VERY scary!

Be careful with your sweet little Bumbo's! (One of Margaux's many nicknames.)

I Heart Super Target!

Ahhhh, Super Target how I love thee!!!!! This is how I feel every time I go to Super Target. Thank the Lord, I have been blessed with a Super Target close to me both in Atlanta and here in the great state of Florida!

Yesterday, I loaded the kids and a cooler in the truck and drove to Sarasota, to go to Super Target. For those of you who have never shopped at a Super Target, let me just say that you don't know what you are missing! It is just like a Super Walmart, only its Target! Clean, calm, quiet, pretty, STARBUCKS, and ours even has a Pizza Hut! It is heavenly!
So go to the Super Target web site and find the nearest one to you and GO. Make it a date with your hubby, a girls day out, OR just time for yourself to get away from your sweet children.
Also, don't forget to print the coupons on the Super Target website. They can come in very handy. We had a delicious roasted garlic chicken (all I had to do is reheat it!!!), fresh broccoli and bread last night for din din for less then $10.00 with coupons! Gotta love it!

Shhhhh.....Maddie will die if she see's this!

First of all, this post already has me laughing and I am just typing the first line.
Second, yes, Maddie will DIE if she knows that I am actually posting this!
Below is a picture of how Maddie and I spent our Saturday--yes, I said SATURDAY, not Saturday morning, or afternoon or evening. It was an all day project.
Maddie is my pack rat! At any moment you can open one of her drawers and find anything from a oven mitt, to a empty Slim Jim wrapper. She had things stuffed everywhere. For example, a plastic cup behind her dresser, filled with cut up pieces of paper, pencils, and a one armed Madeline, "Polly Pocket" type doll.
We got rid of one whole trash bag of junk, and two bags of clothes for a friend of ours.
She is a mess! (Seriously!) But, she reminds me of my childhood, in our 3700 Fort Avenue home, when my Pink Poodle wallpapered room was a WRECK! It would take me hours and hours to clean my room. I remember one time getting so mad that I had to clean my room, that I plotted a plan to run away, and I even packed my bags for my great escape, ("es-cop-ee" as Dori on Finding Nemo would say).
So below is a picture of Maddie's room. When she looked up and saw me with the camera, she knew what my plan for the picture was. As you can see, she jumped up to try and get the camera from my hand.
She is a good girl! I love my Maddie girl! And, by the way, so far I must say, that girl's are TOTALLY messier then boys! My poor parents! Sorry mom and dad!

I need some shoe help!

I need some help from my known readers and my readers under the radar.

I am sort of picky about the shoes my children wear....well, more picky about the shoes Harry Jack and Margaux wear. As Maddie and Dan Dan get older I guess it really doesn't matter, as long as they look clean and neat.

Anyway, I am looking for some navy baby girl shoes, similar to the navy Mary Jane's that Pottery Barn Kids currently has for $48. I love the PBK Mary Jane's, but I cringe at the price.

I have searched the net for navy dress shoes size 3. Nordstrom, Zappos, Shoebuy, Gap, Hanna Anderson, L'amour, Angel Baby, eBay, Stride Rite, Janie and Jack; I can go on and on...no one has navy size 3 infant dress shoes.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, and tell me where to find what I need, that would be great! Or, if someone can tell me what the brand name is, on the inside tag of the PBK Mary Jane's, that would be great. I cannot read the tag from the online picture, and I would love to google the brand.

Nothing new, but.....

There is nothing great going on to post for today. To answer a question from Donna and Suzanne, the truck is half way complete. Poor Danny did not have time this weekend to completely install the carpet in the truck. I will get a picture and post about the finished product once complete. Hopefully it will be soon!

I added some web links to my site. These are all sites I have personally bought from, all except Mail America--that one is just a shout to my incredibly wonderful dad!

Anyway, I love these sites and thought you girls may like them too. My
new favorite is the bracelet site. LOVE IT!!! I want to buy them all. If you order from that site, tell the lady where/how you heard of them, so she can see where her business is coming from. I emailed her and asked if I could put a link to her site on my blog and she said yes---obviously.

Oh, and lastly, we killed ANOTHER Cottonmouth last night. This one was 12 inches long, and was hiding under the door of the garage. As we went to church last night we opened the garage door to get in the truck and there it lay. Danny is calling the animal control people today, although I don't know what they can do.

My Ride

I came home the other day from running some errands in our car, and this what our truck looked like! My ride has been gutted! I was shocked and a little scared. My husband decided to replace the carpet due to an AC leak that made most of the old carpet seriously soaked.
My husband is the second "Genius" in our Reber family, followed only by the original "Jenius," my sweet mother. My love, my husband, can to ANYTHING he sets his mind to and I love him for that. He bought new carpet for he truck online and is replacing it himself, AND he found and fixed the AC leak. He has saved us so much $$$$.
The truck is half put back together and looks GREAT! As Bob Wiley would say, in the movie What About Bob?, "For he's a golly good Genius!"I am proud of him and thrilled to have new carpet! No more eating and drinking in the truck!

Who dat man, pimpin my ride?

...by the way, Danny is moonlighting for MTV's, "Pimp My Ride."

My friend Julie Day

This post, and the slide show below, is dedicated to my sweet friend Julie Day.
Julie and I have been friends for the past 8 or 9 years. A friend of both of ours introduced us to each other and something clicked and Julie and I have been good friends ever since. We rarely get to see each other but we can talk on the phone for a good hour anytime we call each other!
I had sent Julie some little dresses of Margaux's to embroider for me. Well, today I received this box in the mail full of sweet goodies for me and Margaux.
Julie sews beautifully and has made so many sweet things for Me, Margaux and Maddie too. She is truly a great sewer. Her work is incredible. And, above all, she is the greatest friend! Danny always tells me that he wished I had a friend here in SWF like my friend Julie Day.
Thank you Julie for your friendship, and for the beautiful things you make for me!
Below is a slide show of the things she sent me today, as well as some other things she has made for me. For those of you who were at Donna's little luncheon, Julie made the diaper bag and little bibs and blanket I gave Donna. Her website is www.carryitjstyle.com . She needs to update it with new things, but check it out, she's got great stuff.
