Bear with me...

Bear with me again. My reason for starting a blog was so that my family up in good ole Virginny and North Carolina can see parts of our life down here in southwest Florida--thus the title of my blog. So, please bear with me as I share some pictures of our weekend.

Shewwww, today was a long day. A perfectly LOVELY Florida day,but long! The children's school had a family fun/carnival type day to raise some money for their building project. Danny spent the day manning the bounce house, while I took my turn working my shifts at Maddie and Danny boy's class booths and totted around our youngest 3 to different games.

Below are some pictures of our day. Oh boy, my pups (feet) are bark'in!

Oh, and I also included some picture of Baby Jane, just because you asked Dolly!

I'm sorry, but I am so busy!

Before I had children I would really be irritated when I heard someone say to me, "I'm sorry, but I am so busy!" I would think, "whatever, just get your priorities right, get off the sofa, turn the TV off and you'll be fine." (I know, that is blunt--sorry, it's me!)

Sadly, now-a-days, I find myself telling MYSELF, "I'm sorry, but I am so busy!" There are so many things I want to get accomplished each day, and I never get to them.

So please forgive me my sweet blogg'in friends. I have really lacked surf'in the blogs lately! I read them but sometimes I cannot comment because , "I'm sorry, but I am so busy!"

My priorities today, in no particular order:

Put away this--clean laundry from the weekend. Yesterday the children were out of school in honor of Pres. Day. We played at the park for a large part of the day and I didn't get to this--I only added more to it. I know it is messy! I am very limited on space in "me casa!"

Walk on this for 30 minutes at 3.6 (is that good??? I have no clue), trying to add 30 more minutes! Yes, that is Jane's bassinet crammed up against it. And, sadly....our bed it crammed up against the bassinet. Remember, when we bought our house, we only had 3 children. AND our house has been for sell for OVER two years. Another story for another day!
Dig in this mess to find a few tax
documents to send off to our accountant.

What's for "Din Din" you ask? Home made low fat Veggie Beef Soup! It's one of my fav's. I could eat the whole pot!

Oh, and lastly, I would love to end the evening on the sofa watching TV with My Love and my lap top back in my lap, surfing and commenting on the blogs, catching up with all of you!

Happy Heart Day to ME!

This afternoon I received my Valentine swap gift in the mail. I got the mail on my way out the door to pick up the children from school and since I was right on schedule and since I needed to take pictures of it, I had to wait to open it until I return home.

I had to practice some delayed gratification because I had a couple of errands to run on the way home, one that included a stop at a friends house to get 3 of my children's hair cut.

I just knew it was going to something really nice,
and sure enough, it was.

It is a beautiful pink glass heart
and a silver pendant with my initial on it.

I LOVE IT!
I had to turn the flash off because there was too much of a glare coming off the heart and pendant. The above picture does not do this gift justice. It really is a beautiful gift. Tomorrow I am going out to look for a new necklace for my new pendant. Shoot, I just may need to go buy and new outfit too!

And, by the way, LOVE the cute little note card that came with my gift. On the front of the card is the Eiffel Tower and it says "je t'aime" across the front, which means, "I love you" in French.

Thank you Noel
for my
"beau cadeau" (beautiful gift).
I absolutely love it!

"What DO you do all day?"

Just a few minutes ago, I called Danny, my love, on his way to work to discuss a few things our son Dan Dan had forgotten to take to school today--one of them being his lunch. Anyway during the course of our friendly phone banter, we got around to talking about ice cream. Here was the dialog that led up to this post.

My love: "If I stayed at home all day, like you, the ice cream would be gone."
Me: "Well, it is surprising that I stay at home all day and don't eat all that good stuff like that. I don't know why I don't, I just don't."
My Love: "What do you eat? Yeah, what do you do all day? What DO you do?"

Well, My Love, click here and here for a little lovely reminder of what I DO all day.

And, My Love, thank you for all your hard work that allows me to stay home all day and take care of our family! I love you! It's just you and me! LOVE IT!

I Coloring Mommy!

This is what happens when I walk on the
tread mill for 30 minutes...

Look closely! See the RED scribble. It gets better!

Notice a half eaten piece of orange.
And yes, that is a RED Sharpie marker.

And what did Margaux have to say for herself,
when I asked her what she was doing?

"I coloring Mommy!"

Valentine Swap gift to Maddie from Inger

Yesterday, Maddie's Valentine Swap gift from Inger arrived. Let me tell you this was one heavy box! Maddie was at church (we have Saturday evening services) with her Daddy so I called him to have him tell Maddie she had a special package waiting for her when she came home. I wish you all could truly see the bigness of Inger's heart. She is one of the most giving people I have ever known. I have experienced her kindness several times and I continue to be amazed at her thoughtfulness. One day I hope to meet her at a blog union!
This box was PACKED full of things. I think Inger exceeded the $$$ limit! The first thing Maddie opened was a very sweet note from Inger. Along with Inger's incredible thoughtfulness, she also has the gift of encouragement. The note she wrote Maddie couldn't have been any sweeter and perfectly written for my Maddie girl!

Now for the contents inside the box:Cute pink and brown "M" note cards!
(Inger, be watching for one to be returned to you in the mail.)

Goodness gracious: A neat little plastic container filled with Valentine socks, Victoria's Secret perfume, Hello Kitty playing cards, a heart bracelet, and some Vera Bradley cinnamon mints for Maddie's purse!
Was that all---no way, Inger sent more...
Candy for Maddie's sib's. VERY cute and kind of you Inger!

A banner that says "Maddie" for Maddie' room.
(Perfect colors Inger!!)

Add Image
A Victoria's Secret bag.
(It was on her shoulder this morning as she left to go to church.)

And, a little devotional book entitled, "It's a GOD thing!" Very nice!

AND, Inger again was kind to ME and sent me a cute, cute, cute "Be Mine" banner. I don't have a mantle so I put it on the hutch by the front door so we can see it as we come in and out! I LOVE it Inger. Thank you so much!

Now, something REALLY FUNNY!

I put Dan Dan, Harry Jack, and Margaux to bed last night at 8:00. Around 9:45 I came out to the kitchen to get some water and there she was...MARGAUX, on the counter eating Valentine candy. She had a mouth FULL of candy hearts, and if you look closely at the above picture, you can see she had half of a red jelly heart. Too funny! I had to take a picture.
