Happy Birthday Danny

Okay, so October FLEW by! We had a few important events that happened this past month. One of the most important was that our Danny Boy turned ELEVEN on October 3!

We celebrated his special day a couple days early with 8 of his friends coming over to spend the night: Juette, Joey, Cooper, Landon, Luke, Josh, Harrison, and James.

I sent the girls with my parents and sisters for the night and me and Danny hunkered down with Dandan's friends and Harry Jack. It was one fun, (smelly) night, with very little sleep! We really had fun getting to know these boys! They really were a nice group!

Below are a few pictures of our night.

Here is a video of Dandan's friends singing Happy Birthday to him.

And lastly, here is me and my Danny right before he blew out the candles at our family birthday party! Danny really has grown up a lot this past year. He is maturing very nicely and I am so very proud of the little man he is becoming!

Jim Bob and Michelle

Today was an exciting day for Dolly, Maddie and me. This morning I took Maddie out of school. We got on a Liberty University bus at her school campus and went to...

Liberty University Convocation!

Why? Well, thanks to a sweet family friend, we were able to meet THE DUGGAR'S. Yes, you heard me correct! We met Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar before they spoke at LU Convocation!

Okay, seriously, WE WERE PUMPED! Not so much "groupie pumped" more like "WOW" pumped.

About 9:30 this morning, they walked right into the back of Vines Center, got behind the podium for a little press conference and were SO kind and sweet to the people asking them questions.

THEY WERE SO SWEET TO EACH OTHER--almost like boyfriend/girlfriend sweet, which was VERY refreshing--and a bit of a reminder to me to be more like that with this handsome man...
...My Love!

And I need to say, Michelle--even prettier in person! Angelic pretty! And for having 19 children (is it 19 or 20?) SHE LOOKS GREAT!
We got to say a brief hello. They were very kind to us as we really have NO IDEA what we were saying to them. As we said good bye I said something like, "Okay, we'll see you on TV." Are you kidding me--is that what I said???? Maybe I am a groupie???

I cannot imagine the cost of bringing in the whole Duggar family, but the 5 oldest daughters did come and they played their violins in convocation.

Ginger, was there!!! She is our favorite! Why? Because she seems like she would be the one in the family who would do something crazy---conservative crazy.

Dolly REALLY soaked up every word Jim Bob and Michelle said!

All in all it was a fun morning! I cannot say enough good things about Liberty University. Love it! Love being a part of this school, this church, this ministry, this life that has had a huge part in shaping me into who I am!

And my sweet Maddie Girl, we had an absolutely delightful day together. Ooh I love that girl!
