Christmas 2011

Almost a month late...My sister Donna and her sweet family came in town a few days before Christmas, and we girls got together at Dolly's house for our annual and highly planned, eagerly anticipated, Christmas cookie bake off! No kidding! This is big time folks. If you're a Reber female~ YOU ARE THERE!

My mother, a.k.a. Florance Nightingale, was there, just didn't make the picture.

(Side note for memories sake: Christmas 2010 my mother was REALLY sick days before Christmas and needed medical attention. My dad was so sweet in taking care of her! Well this year, Christmas 2011, it was the opposite and my dad was really sick days before Christmas and needed medical attention. It was mom's turn to take special care of him. Neat how that works!)

My sister Dawn surprised us this year and brought us all red "Merry Christmas" aprons! Thanks Dawn!

Christmas Eve at my parents home...

We grew by one this past year. Sweet Eleanore Ruth at the top! Feels like we've always had her in the family!

When my parents open this gift from Dawn, the grand boys went CRAZY!

Super cool! Boys can never have enough jersey's...I guess?

New boots for Maddie and Margaux, who told me every day before Christmas ,"I want boots just like Maddie has."

Margaux's Christmas Program

This is just one quick picture of Margaux singing at her preschool Christmas program. She was so excited that day! She is standing beside two of her friends Lilly and Kona.

November 26 is big, BIG in our house!!!!

It is no secret in our family that November 26 is a very SPECIAL day! I am smiling just thinking about it. There is so much love celebrated that day. The birthday of 3 special people in Danny's and my life, and the day that God gave us our little miracle baby, Baby Ashley Jane!

This past November 26, Danny's whole family happened to be in town for Thanksgiving, SO, we decided to have one big party with my family and Danny's family to celebrate "Mr. Smilely Eye's" Harry Jack's 7th birthday, sweet baby Jane's 3rd birthday, and my sister in law Debbie's birthday.

We had a total of 40 people in our house that night, in which 23 of them were children 14 and under. Needless to say, it was organized chaos!

I wish I had piece right now!

Debbie and her beautiful girls!

Opening the presents...

This picture above makes me laugh. Look at all the adults trying to control the chaos! There were little hands grabbing all sorts of things.

Danny's parents, Nana and Papa, behind me.

I don't know who snapped this picture, but I'm not gonna lie, me tired here! Actually, I think all the adults looked like this by the time we all said good night!

Thanksgiving 2011

I'm just about 2 months delayed in posting these Thanksgiving pictures. It's been on my "to do list" for a while now. Finally I am getting it done, along with a few other small projects that I have had on the back burner of my mind. So, without any further ado, I present to you, Thanksgiving 2011.

The highlight of our Thanksgiving: Danny's WHOLE family came to visit us for Thanksgiving. It really was a fun time. All 28 of us rarely get together in one place, so this truly was a special event.

Thanksgiving day Danny's family arrived mid morning. We visited a bit and then got them settled in their rooms and hotels, then we headed over to my sister Dawn's home for our first Thanksgiving dinner of the day.

I had an extra sweet Thanksgiving because my mother's sister and her family came up from Florida, my Aunt Barbara, Uncle Jim and my cousin Jimmy.

Dawn set the table BEAUTIFULLY, not just for the grown ups but for the little ones too!

Dawn even had a special craft at the children's table for each one to make, while the grown ups ate and chit chatted at the big table. That Dawn! Love her!

My niece, Sweet Eleanore, a.k.a. the Lady for Clover Hill!

About 3:00 in the afternoon, we moseyed on back to our house to start preparing for Thanksgiving dinner #2. Just as yummy and noisy as the first.

The little kids at the counter...

...the bigger kids at the table.

And, one last picture of all the Logan grandchildren--17 in all from age 14 to 2.
