Halloween

We had a fun halloween this year and my kids got lots of candy! Owen wasn't too into dressing up until he realized people would give him candy, then he was so excited-that kid loves his candy.

The girls both wanted to be witches and were so excited for halloween this year.

Owen didn't want to be anything.  Everytime I would show him a costume at the store he would say "I'm not spiderman, I'm Owen" and throw a fit if I tried to buy it.  I saw a pattern for an angry bird costume online and since he loves to play angry birds, I decided to make it for him.  He didn't love it, but he wore it for at least a little while.

Tait was the cutest little froggy I have ever seen.  He must have had something in his mouth in this picture because it looks like he has a top tooth, but he just turned 13 months and only has the two bottom ones still!

We were able to go to our wards trunk or treat and then on halloween we went with some friends trick or treating around their neighborhood.  The girls both had parties at their school also.  We had tons of candy and it was all gone by the end of the week!

Big Bed

When Owen started to climb out of his crib, it was a very sad day for me, but he was so excited to set up his big boy bed.  We got this awesome cars toddler bed from some good friends of ours.  All of the kids were so excited to set it up and I had lots of helpers putting it together.
Owen was excited to try out his new bed.  He did pretty good sleeping in it. After a few nights we had to move him into the girls room,  because he kept crawling into Taits crib in the middle of the night.

All of the kids wanted to try it out.  The girls were so excited for their brother.

Easter

We had such a fun easter this year. We dyed Eggs and went to Church and then went to Easter dinner at my Parents house. We got the kids cute easter outfits to wear, but didn't get even a half-way decent picture of all of them. Oh well, maybe someday they will sit still for pics-right??

Turning 2!!

I can't believe that my little guy is now 2 years old. It has gone by way too fast. He is talking so much now and is so funny. A few things about my boy. He loves his sisters. As soon as he wakes up in the morning, he goes looking for Abby. He calls her name over and over until he finds her. If she is still in bed, he busts open the door and crawls into bed with her. Sometimes this leads to giggling and sometimes, screaming. He loves his Dad and wants to be with him whenever he is home. He just follows him around the house and tries to do whatever he is doing. He is all boy and loves any kind of car, gun or tractor. He has added so much to our life and we are lucky to have such a handsome brother!
I let him put on his own candles and he wanted more than 2. After he blew them out he started yelling again, so we lit them again and he blew them out again. He did this about 6-7 times before he wanted to eat the cake.

My Boys

I love these two boys that I have. They keep me on my toes and just when I think I'm going to lose it, they do something so cute and lovable that it just melts my heart. I am not ready for them to grow up. Here are some cute pics of my boys!

Tait loves to sit up on the table with us while we eat dinner, however, he hates his solid foods and has not got the hang of eating them yet.

He also loves to sit in his car and make lots of noise.

Owen also loves this car and would sit in it all day long if I would let him. He makes the best car noises.

He also loves time out for some reason. All I have to say is "do you want a time out" and he runs and sticks his nose in the corner-awesome!The best part is how much they love each other. Owen always loves to hold Tait and give him kisses. I have started putting them in the same room at night and I can hear them in the morning laughing at each other from their cribs. Yesterday Tait had on PJ's that had monkeys on the feet and he was on his back with his feet in the air and Owen was laughing so hard and screaming "monkey feet, monkey feet" and he called Tait monkey feet all day even after I changed his outfit. It was so funny!

Teacup Clock

I totally stole this idea off of this blog and I love the way it turned out. She had just collected random teacups and saucers and they were all different colors and shapes, but I didn't have the time to look around for the perfect ones so I just spray painted a set that I got off of craigslist. I love how the colors turned out and I think it adds so much to the room.

Car Seat Covers/Nursing Covers

I recently made some car seat covers and some nursing covers for the girls in my family ( we have had 3 new babies in the last 2 months!). They keep telling me that I should sell them, so I am going to post pictures of the ones that I made and if anyone is interested leave a comment or email me and I can make one for you! I am going to charge $30 for a car seat cover and $25 for the nursing covers. If you want to pick out your own fabric and have me make it for you, I will charge $20 for the car seat covers and $12 for the nursing covers.
Car seat covers
These are double sided with a double border on the top and a large single border on the back. They have heavy duty Velcro straps to keep them in place. I can sew little fabric flowers for the tops of the straps if you want them. These are great for keeping the wind/cold off of your little one and great for keeping them asleep when they fall asleep. Also great for keeping away the germ-filled population that feel the need to stick their face into your babies car seat! Here are some examples that I have done.

Nursing Covers
These are great for when you need to nurse in a public place. The neck strap helps insure that it stays up where it belongs while the boning in front allows you to see your baby. I make these extra large to give extra coverage and I found that the "d-rings" that most people use never stay put so I put in extra large eyelets and tie knots in the neck strap. This allows you to find which length works best for you and keep it there. These are double sided and so are reversible. I can also embellish them to your specifications. Here are some that I did for my sis-in-law.
