The Randomness of February (2021)

The randomness of February 2021!

Happy Birthday to our amazing dad!

Rebekah came with me to the livestock vet and HAD to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately they were under construction and this was their bathroom. This tiny bladder thing has got to end eventually.

Caleb and James eating pancakes and peanut butter in honor of Grandpa Logan.

Two brothers are better than one when you are looking to get cozy.

Pretty sure Gabby is trying to slowly push Caleb off "her" cushion.

Cute James.

Cute Bonita.

Three dogs and one human. Yes, the couch is officially full.

A farmer moved his cows to the field that neighbors ours and Annie and Brisket thought it was fantastic!

My first seven Muscovy ducklings. Aren't they adorable! My favorite birds by far. I wan to squeeze them.

My little kingdom in February 2021. I really want to post a current picture but I'm going to refrain for continuity sake.

My Great Pyrenees "puppies" and their not so little paws.

A weeklong cold spell means lots of layers during feeding time. I'm in there somewhere!

I love this little pink thing! She is my love and my darling.

The Randomness of January (2021)

Random moments from January 2021 that I wouldn't want to forget.

Rebekah lost her first tooth which meant she got a prize. Yes, she is spoiled.

Our first real snowstorm hit and there was plenty of snow for the littles to play in.

And some additional snow for the dogs to play in as well.

This was my solution for the frustration that came from too many missing remotes. Just a side note: I'm pretty dang smart. It's lasted three years. Three years people!

We went to Atwoods for livestock feed and tested out a dune buggy that we did NOT end up buying.

James got Lincoln Logs for an unknown reason (yes, he is also spoiled) and immediately started building. Unfortunately Gabby found them delicious and they quickly disintegrated.

Our animal pens slowly coming together. This was alot of hard work for me and the kiddos! They sure were troopers putting in dozens of t-posts and attaching numerous cattle panels.

And behold! The livestock has arrived! What cuties! We bought cows, goats, chickens, ducks, and guineas from a family in the ward that was moving back to Utah. The whole package made me super excited. Rebekah felt the same way I promise!

This is what Oklahoma does to my hair when I work with the animals. So, so pretty.

Rosie and Henry

A bigger homestead meant additional, larger dogs to protect it. Or at least that's what I told Eric right before I went out and bought two enormous fluffballs.

Rosie and Henry are Great Pyrenees and therefore are supposed to make excellent livestock guardian dogs.

Unfortunately, when they first came home, Rosie and Henry did not believe that their job was to guard livestock.

They thought their job was to hang out in the house with Gabby and Bobby.

Funnily enough, only Rosie was destined to be called a Berg but she cried horribly on the way home after we picked her up which made James cry horribly on the way home which meant I returned the next day to pick up her brother Henry. I'm so weird.

As is Henry it seems. A nearly empty cheeseball container was more than this little pup could resist.

Try as we might we couldn't get it off by pulling and we finally had to cut it off.

Puppies are adorably tiring.
