The life of the party!

It seems like Madi has just now found her toys on her bouncy seat. She is so funny playing with them. She just stares and talks to them all the time! Madi giving her owl the stink eye.

We go to Ben's grandparent's house in Florence on Christmas Eve to spend the day with the Aldridge side of the family. We had great food, as always! This was Madi's longest road trip so far and she did great. She slept the entire way!

This is the picture for my parent's Christmas Card this year. With our family growing, it is hard to get everyone together and get a picture made. The babies cried the entire time too. I still thought it was a pretty good picture inspite of that though!

Christmas starts early for us! We started tonight with Christmas at the Ben's grandmothers. We decided to do things a little different this year and we ordered pizza and had Mar's famous homemade biscuits. We had a lot of fun spending time with family. This week is busy, but I am looking forward to Madi's first Christmas.

Madi went to her first Supper Club last week. Of course I forgot my camera, but Madi has the cute little onsie to remember it by! I love Supper Club, but I really love Supper Club Christmas Party. This was our first Christmas Party with babies and it was an adventure. We were supposed to eat at 6pm and I'm pretty sure we didn't even get started until 7pm or after. We had a blast though. Thank you for everything Jamie, Amanda and Mason- we had a blast!

I did! That's just because Madi did though! I was so excited when I woke up at 6am and realized she had slept through the whole night. She got her first round of shots yesterday so that is probably why, but I would like to think it is going to stick though. Guess we will find out tonight!

I have heard of people taking a monthly picture of their baby with a stuffed animal to show each month how much the baby has grown. I thought this was a great idea! Ben bought Madi a stuffed duck this past Easter before she was even born. Here is her one month picture with it. It will be fun to see how much she grows from month to month. I feel like she is already growing up so fast!

I can't believe that Madi is one month old today! She is growing and changing every single day. She is trying to hold her head up and she will smile at you every once in a while. We are so thankful for our perfect little girl!

I bought this outfit for Madi to wear on Halloween, but she was having to undergo light therapy on Halloween. So I put her in it this morning and took a few pictures. She was so cute!

I have been looking for a new comfortor for our bed for a while and just couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Then I came across this one at Ross for $15! I love Ross, but you have to go often to see what all new things they have. But I have found some of the best deals by doing that! I bought the small pillow also for $8. So I have a complete bed make over for $23! That is my kind of shopping!

I can't believe that Madi is over a week old! Time really does fly by! We have had such a good week. Both grandmothers came to stay for two days and lots of friends came to see us. We have really enjoyed all of our company and getting to show off our baby girl. We couldn't ask for better friends and family.

When we first left the hospital Madi was a little bit jaundice. We went to the doctor the next day to check it out and she had gotten worse. We had to put her in light therapy the first two days she was home. We could only pick her up to feed and change her. It was a hard couple of days for us, but Madi loved the treatement and slept through the entire thing. I think she was so warm in it she didn't want to get out.
She is doing much better now and we are done with the light therapy. We couldn't ask for a better baby! She has only been waking up about two times a night and only gets fussy when she is hungry. We are so thankful that God brought us this wonderful baby !
