Jayna is 9 months old and still isn't crawling, which is just fine with me. I feel like that is the only question people ask me these days. I'm not really in a rush for her to start because then we'll be chasing her all over the place. But at the same time, it would be really cute, and Gibb is dying for her to crawl. Jayna isn't really getting that much bigger, she weighs 15 lbs. 11 oz., and is 26.25 inches tall, she is only the 5th percentile right now. Sometimes I think that Jayna just has her own different agenda for life, she likes to do things on her own time. The more we try to get her to do something the less likely she is to do it. But she did get 2 more teeth this month. Her top 2 front teeth! Now she'll be able to bite...I'm scared!

Jayna loves sitting out on the front porch and watching cars drive by. She watches every car, and we have a pretty busy street. Sometimes when I work on a Saturday, Gibb and Jayna will sit out on the porch waiting for me to come home. I love seeing them sitting there together when I pull into the driveway, and I love seeing Jayna's face light up when she sees me.

I found the best deal on plane tickets for Mona to come and visit, but it was only for this week-end and it just so happened that she could clear her schedule and come!! I swear we are each other's good luck charms for stuff like this. It was so fun to get to just hang out and relax and show her around our town. Jayna warmed up to her so fast, thanks to all her fancy jewelery! Mona and I always take trips together or go and visit each other, and we always have the best time! I love our little trips together, that's one tradition I really hope lasts a long time.

Gibb had 2 days off clinic this week so we decided to take a trip out to the beach. Headlands Beach is on Lake Erie and is only 25 minutes away. It was Jayna's first time going to the beach, and I don't think she was that crazy about it. It was too cold to go in the water and she didn't really like touching the sand. Jayna seems to be very timid and unsure about anything new. It really takes her a while to warm up to new things, and we definitely have to let her go at her own pace. But we still had a fun day enjoying the sun.
