Cabin days

We went up to the cabin December 26-28th.  There wasn't much snow this time but we still enjoyed it.

It was fun having Aubrey up there with us for the first day. Parker, Aubrey, and Halle went for a late night treat run together.
Kev and I took our 4-wheeler to the other side of the ranch. The river was partly frozen.

I'm happy that Halle and Aubrey had this time together. I think they both needed it. I can't believe how grown up they are now.

The kids had fun playing with their cousin Ayla in the snow. She will be turning two in a month!

Addy had fun with her Pelfrey cousins. You could always find them warming up by the fire.

I love this picture of Hayden giving Ayla a big hug. He gave her the Minnie Mouse laptop we had at home and she loved it.

It was nice to have Kenna and Bryson join us for the day. I love it when all my girls hang out with me!

The kids are always up for a game of Rummikub.

It was sweet to see Bryson playing the switch with Cassie and Logan.

Logan loves going for 4-wheeler rides with Parker.

Hayden decided to crawl through the water pipe. I have never seen anyone do that before.  Some of the other cousins also followed him.
I love seeing my girls having fun together!

Spence, and Dan helped Kev fill up the tire on our 4-wheeler.

I had fun pulling Heather's kids around on sleds. Logan was my spotter and would let me know if anyone fell off.
Hayden had fun sledding from the cabin to the barn.

It is hard to tell Kenna and Halle apart when they are in their snow gear.

Christmas is here

We had a good Christmas as a family. Kev and I got each other new skis and boots this year. We went to the ski swap to pick them out in November. It is my first pair of ski's that I have ever owned. We are looking forward to trying them out.

Addy was excited to see that she got a hoverboard! She had been wanting one for awhile now.

Parker got speakers for his new car. He couldn't wait to install them.

Halle got a Fit bit watch to keep track of her health. She had been wanting one like mine.

Hayden's big gift from us were Beats buds to listen to music. I think the gift he was most excited about was the mini fridge for his room.

Kev helped Addy try out her new hoverboard. It even lights up and plays music. She picked it up quickly and has been good to share with everyone.

Parker kept busy putting together his new Lamborghini model kit.

We went up to Kev's parents house for dinner and to open up presents. Halle and I were wearing our new sweaters that we ordered from Shein.

Kev enjoyed hanging and talking with his Dad.

We had fun hanging out with cute Ayla. It is adorable to hear her talking more.

She even rocked out to the "Elf" song for us. It was hilarious!

We gave Kev's Dad this awesome gift. It is a hoodie that says "I am Kenough".  We think it was the first time he has ever worn a hoodie. We are excited for him to watch the Barbie movie with us at the cabin!

Christmas Eve

I love it when Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday. We had a nice music program at church. Our family got all dressed up for the occasion.

It was fun having Mike and Amy's family come over that afternoon!  Addy loves hanging out with her cousin Elle.
We were happy that Kayley was feeling well enough to come be with us. We had a delicious pork belly dinner.
The kids had fun playing Cover your Assets while the adults talked. Mike was telling us about his company trip to Mexico.
It was the first time that they brought Apollo to our house. He was well behaved the entire time. We had fun opening up presents and Apollo played with the wrapping.

We watched the Christmas story which is a family favorite.

It was fun to spend some time with Mikes family in the hot tub. Mike couldn't get over the great view at night.
The kids opened up their Christmas pj's that night. It is a tradition that they still enjoy.

Parker was happily surprised that I found him another Mariah Carey shirt. He had lost his last one.

We gave the kids the Christmas book "Elf". Parker had fun reading it to us and then everyone was off to bed.

Parker's 19th birthday!

Parker turned 19 years old on Saturday December 23rd! I loved having some time with him to enjoy our birthday traditions.

We had a memorable experience at the balloon store. There was a woman in front of us that was making a purchase. She realized that she didn't have her wallet with her to pay. She was staying far away and couldn't run back home to get it. Parker stepped up and paid for her purchases. The woman was in tears, thanked him, and gave him a hug. It was a beautiful experience that I never want to forget! I'm incredibly proud of Parker and the good man that he is!

We had a family party for him that night. He was happy to hang out with his cousins!

The Pelfrey kids were excited to watch him open up their present to him.

Parker wanted chocolate peanut butter cookies for his birthday dessert.

We gave Parker a weight lifting bench for his big gift. I also surprised him with a building set of the Lai temple that he had been wanting. It was a fun day celebrating him and I hope he felt loved by everyone. I'm very grateful to be his mom! He has been through many difficult challenges this last year. I admire his courage, faith, and resilience. He always works hard, dreams big, and loves others unconditionally. We are grateful for the kindness, laughter, and love he brings to our family. We love you Parker!!

Early Christmas celebration

We celebrated an early Christmas with Kenna and Bryson on Thursday December 21st. Our kids do a sibling gift exchange every year. Hayden gave Kenna a succulent and a baby cactus.

Parker, Kenna, and Bryson went in on group gift for Kev. He was happily surprised to see that they bought him Sorrel boots. He had been using his old pair since he was 15 years old and he really needed some new ones.  It was really thoughtful of the kids.

Kenna and Bryson opened their gifts from us.

We got them these matching Vans beanies. Our big gift to them was a Costco membership.

I had the kids make the traditional Christmas pyramid. It was nice that Bryson was able to take my spot this time.
I wanted a kids picture by the bannister and this is the pose I got from Kenna. She is always making us laugh.
The kids humored me for this pose.

I love all these cute faces! It was fun having Bryson join us in some of our traditions.

We had pizza for dinner and opened up our English party poppers.

Halle gave Addy slime for a gift. Addy had fun dropping it over the railing and then Bryson caught it at the bottom. As Bryson said, "Slime for the win"!!

We had a memorable night celebrating with Kenna and Bryson!
