Well, it's been a long time. Here's an update in a nutshell... Work and school. :) Both have had their ups and downs. But I am very much enjoying school (other than spending an inordinate amount of time doing homework). Unfortunately, there has been little to no knitting. I did finish a sweater before heading to SAFF back in October, which I guess I really need to get finished photos of (that reminds me I need to update Ravelry too).
There have been a few WIPs, most started over the winter break, but for one reason or another they've all fallen out of my good graces. I'm thinking that it's about time to rip them out and to start anew. There's a few sweaters on Ravelry that'd I'd absolutely love to start, but that means a yarn purchase and I'd have to wait to start a project... Soooo... I think that some socks are in order. Probably plain socks, or maybe one of the ones that I've already knit before. We'll see.
Time to paruse the stash for yarn!

ADD
I keep sitting down at the computer to work on homework, to work on projects, to work on work... and somehow the day flies by and I never get around to doing whatever it was that I originally intended to do.
Take right now for example. I'm supposed to be doing homework - which, because the class I'm taking right now is a condensed class (and going at a breakneck pace) - I really should be getting my butt in gear. But I'm not. I decided to write a blogpost instead.
Since the last post, I did manage to make it through my first class and all of my meetings. A WONDERFUL vacation was had (man, do I wish I was still on vacation). And I feel like I was thrown back into work and school and have been going non-stop ever since. Even the knitting has had to take a backseat to school (meaning I've been forced to do schoolwork during my breaks at work in order to get it all done - yes, I do realize that if I didn't procrastinate when I'm supposed to be doing homework that I would probably still have time for knitting).
Anyway. I've been having some serious crafting ADD as well. I started a project that will become my sister's birthday present. The trial project is almost finished, but I haven't gotten back around to it. My dad's father's day present, an album from our cruise is partially finished... and I have at least 4 other projects, mostly sewing, that have been occupying my brain.
... And I'm looking for a sweater pattern to knit for myself. :)

The Light
There is light at the end of this tunnel!!
Only 2 weeks (and a bit) left of my first semester back in school and I am ready for a break! Around the same time I'll have three huge meetings for work wrapped up, which will also bring much relief.
And the cherry on top is that I'll be cruising (on a boat) to all sorts of fabulous places the week immediately following the last meeting!!
All I have to do is make it till June!

Oh Procrastination!!
If there was a competition for the worlds best procrastinator, I think I would be a top contender.
Take this very instant for example. I really should be doing homework. Instead, I've caught up on 400+ blog posts that I haven't read (ok, well I scanned most of those), I did some housework - which shows just how much I don't want to work on my homework, and now I'm playing games on Facebook.
I wish there was some knitting or spinning to show you, but between work (I've been trying to get a grant written and sent off for the last two months), and school, I've been lucky to get 3 rows of my mom's Christmas/birthday/Mother's Day present done each day.
The weekends haven't been much better on the crafting front. Again, there's always schoolwork, and either husband and I have been out of town or we've been helping my parents fix up their house to list it on the market. (They'll be moving as soon as my brother graduates from high school this May, and the house sells).
Which has lead to the other "project". I've been living in denial, thinking that I'm a minimalist (which I guess I still am compared to some). But there has been carloads of my stuff that has been stored at my parents house for the last 4 years, which suddenly needs to find a home in my cozy abode. We have one spare room and that is already full-to-bursting with boxes stacked up in every available inch, and there are still more boxes to come. On the list of priorities, going through and purging belongings in high on the list, but there just isn't enough time in the day! (And don't we all know how that feels??)
Anyway. Maybe one day soon there will be time again for crafting. Until then, here's a pretty picture of my sister at my cousin's wedding last weekend. :)

Kablooey!
Yesterday was one of those days where my head just would not turn on. It seems that between all of the school stuff, house stuff, work stuff and all the personal stuff (that I want to do)... well, I think some wiring in my brain ended up fried.
A simple re-boot (aka nap) did not do the trick. Instead it took about 20 hours worth of sleeping and now I'm up and feeling somewhat more like myself, although still a bit groggy.
But it is a beautiful day outside, most of my homework is already finished... and lunch will be provided by my parents in the every Sunday lunch custom.
Hey! Maybe there will be some pictures of things long, long, long overdue!! :)
